I have extensive experience handling pets of all sizes. Whether you are in need of a one time service or extended service, it would be a pleasure to care for your fur baby. I have a pretty flexible schedule. I am typically available every day of the week. I am available to provide services/potty breaks every 4-8 hours. If I am caring for a pet in your home, I follow all instructions provided to me to ensure the comfort and safety of your pet. If caring for a pet in my own home, I ensure safe introduction of pets (in a neutral environment). I also ensure they have their own space. Pets would not be left unsupervised while care is being provided.

I try to update my calender monthly, but if things don't look right, if your other sitter isn't available, or if you just need someone ASAP, you are always free to message me any time in the app. I try to reply as soon as possible, but sometimes I don't recieve notifications, so it may take me a few hours to reply in some instances. My calender should reflect my un-availability at minimum. If you have any questions, please message me as I am flexible and will accommodate where possible. Keeping things fear-free as much as possible is a priority for me. This means, I won't push your pets boundaries if they won't push mine. I like to keep things calm, relaxing, and easy or neutral. When I meet them for the first time during the meet & greet, I wait for them to come up to me. It's what they are comfortable with. This helps everyone establish trust and familiarity. My hope is that I can be your go to whenever you need pet care. Sometimes, I use miracle tones to help with fear, it is soothing and calming for all. Pet TV is a great option for their environment while you are away and a new person is in their home too. I like to stick to a rhythm or routine. As I enter their palace, I introduce myself gently by using a high pitched soft tone and a treat. Then, I let them sniff me out before they welcome me through. Any grievances? No siree! Next, I like to start feedings and medications after activities. But, I take it at their pace. Afterwards, I will take care of cleaning & notes before my departure from their palace. About: Hi! My name is Amanda! I am a Registered Veterinary Technician, and making sure pets are happy and healthy is my number one passion! I have been working in the veterinary field for 20+ years including some years in emergency and specialty medicine. I began pet sitting many years ago before college, I love taking care of pets on a regular basis and getting to know their favorite things and places to go. I always go above and beyond when I take care of your pet and home while you are away and always make sure to keep you updated with pictures and text or written notes about each stay or visit so you can know how your pet is doing! I have tons of experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. I also have a lot of experience with animals with medical issues who need medication or extra care. I am a stay at home mom so I have lots of time to dedicate to caring for your pets! We go on at least one walk in the morning and I have a large yard with a privacy fence for additional exercise and potty breaks throughout the day. The rest of our day can be easily modified to make your pet as comfortable as possible. I have a large fully fenced yard as well as several nice parks near by that we love to walk around. I can crate your pet if that’s what their used to along with providing structured play and enrichment activities.

About: While my experience caring for pets professionally is limited, I worked in healthcare for a short stint out of high school, delivering medical oxygen supplies to peoples homes, and setting up the equipment for patients. One of my favorite parts of the job was when the patients had pets! Frequently, their pets warmed up to me as soon as I was welcomed in to do my work, which would always brighten up my day. Of course, I have pets myself. I've been caring for my cat, Winslow, for about a year and a half now. He's fantastically affectionate and he's been an excellent companion in my home. I also help my parents with their cats, since I live with them at the moment. As one last note, at my last job I attained a CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Human focused, of course, but I stilled learned the signs of a crisis in living beings and what to do when life hangs in the balance. I hope never to have to use said skills, but if a pet has a delicate health situation, I am equipped to get them the help they need if things take a turn for the worse. I am between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is about as open as it gets. I have my own responsibilities to tend to with my cat, but my parents can take care of him if your furry friend needs me around all day. First things first is a meet and greet to make sure your pet is comfortable around me. Once your pet and I have made each-other's acquaintance, we'll talk about how you usually go about caring for them yourself so we don't throw a wrench in their habits. If you're having me spend time in your home, we'll talk about how you expect me to conduct myself while house sitting.

I am pretty much open everyday and I update my calendar as well to be up to date. If I needed to go somewhere I will leave in how you want your pets to be either caged or roaming the house. I also won’t be gone for that many hours if your dogs can’t be alone for a certain amount of hours. I will be moving back to college on August 14, meaning I won’t be in Longmont anymore until sometime in December. I can crate your animals or leave them outside when needed to leave. I can not keep them in my dorm due to animal policies.
