Our dog Gypsy can be sensitive to change and easily stressed out, but Kimberly was so good with her and making sure she felt comfortable. I will love them like my own. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to work around your dog’s routine rather than making them fit into mine. I’m home throughout the day and interact with the dogs frequently for potty breaks, walks, playtime, attention, and naps. Someone is home the majority of the time. If gone less than an hour! I live in a townhouse with plenty of open grassy areas and a dog park nearby. We’re also right next to Kensington Park, which we frequent for walks and outdoor time. I have one Schnoodle named Boo who is very sweet, calm, and great company for other dogs. I work from home, so I’m almost always around to give your pet plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love. About: Growing up, I was always interested in learning about different dog breeds and had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Though I did not become a veterinarian, I do have a solid background and understanding of animal healthcare and wellbeing thanks to my undergraduate studies (B.S. Zoology, some Animal Science) and ongoing interest in pet health and dog training. While still in high school, I worked briefly in a pet boarding facility where I prepared morning and evening meals, administered medications, and supervised outdoor play for large groups of dogs. From this experience supervising large groups of dogs, I became more familiar with canine body language and behavioral cues. My sheepadoodle, Ivy, came home to me at about 10 weeks old; so I did potty train and leash train her with positive reinforcement using her favorite treats. I also had the opportunity to foster a litter of 5 puppies in college and potty trained them as well. In addition to my experience with puppies, I have cared for a few senior pups including my brother’s aging border collie and pitbull mix and my late Great Boxer (Great Dane/boxer), Grover. In my experience caring for senior pups, I became familiar with the medical issues that come along with increasing age such as arthritis, incontinence, deafness/blindness, and even cancer to name a few. My own pups have also had sensitive skin, digestive issues, and recurrent ear infections. Managing these health issues at times required daily cleanings, ointment applications, and attention to ensure that wounds or infections healed without interference. I work part-time in a hospital lab, with a fixed schedule. I work 4 days in a row, then I am off for 10 days. When I am not working in the lab, I am at home caring for my two young children (ages 3 and almost 2) and 5 year-old sheepadoodle. We enjoy spending time outside in the backyard or going for walks around the neighborhood. Any dog that steps paw inside my home is treated like family. If your precious pup requires *special* treatment, I try my best to adhere to any instructions provided. I have a large crate, along with dog blankets, if your pup is into that sort of thing. It is spacious enough for any standard medium to large sized dog. I do have a decently sized backyard with 6 ft privacy fencing all around, and larger smooth rocks surrounding the grass. If your pup is not great with tiny humans, loud noises, or just the general chaos of a young family, please consider a sitter with a calmer environment that better meets their needs.

About: I’ve owned animals my whole life and take great pride in making sure they are well taken care of. I’ve often been told that my animals are spoiled, but I like knowing they are happy and safe. I’ve taken care of pets for friends and family many times, and treat them as if they are my own. I’m currently working part time in the morning/early afternoons so I am available in the afternoons/evenings and weekends for walking and caring for your pets, I let my personal pets in my house, and like to play with them outside when possible. I am willing to crate your pets if needed, and will play with your pets to let them burn off energy.
About: While my experience caring for pets professionally is limited, I worked in healthcare for a short stint out of high school, delivering medical oxygen supplies to peoples homes, and setting up the equipment for patients. One of my favorite parts of the job was when the patients had pets! Frequently, their pets warmed up to me as soon as I was welcomed in to do my work, which would always brighten up my day. Of course, I have pets myself. I've been caring for my cat, Winslow, for about a year and a half now. He's fantastically affectionate and he's been an excellent companion in my home. I also help my parents with their cats, since I live with them at the moment. As one last note, at my last job I attained a CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Human focused, of course, but I stilled learned the signs of a crisis in living beings and what to do when life hangs in the balance. I hope never to have to use said skills, but if a pet has a delicate health situation, I am equipped to get them the help they need if things take a turn for the worse. I am between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is about as open as it gets. I have my own responsibilities to tend to with my cat, but my parents can take care of him if your furry friend needs me around all day. First things first is a meet and greet to make sure your pet is comfortable around me. Once your pet and I have made each-other's acquaintance, we'll talk about how you usually go about caring for them yourself so we don't throw a wrench in their habits. If you're having me spend time in your home, we'll talk about how you expect me to conduct myself while house sitting.
About: I currently own 2 cats but I've taken care of a variety of dog breeds since I was young as I grew up with dogs. From Saint Bernard's and Chows, to pomeranians and chihuahuas. I am personally experienced with medication administration for both cats and dogs. Oral and injection. I also have taken care of other animals such as, chickens, horses, turtles, lizards, and even a snake! Im happy to take care of anything around the house that is needed as well!
