Elyssa is amazing! She is always punctual and amazing with my dogs! I have a husky who usually takes a while to warm up to people and she was almost immediately okay with Elyssa. She goes above and beyond for the puppers! She’s for sure keeping us as a regular!

About: I have grown up with many different kinds of pets. Taking care of them feeding them and exercising them. I have experience with dogs cats ducks bunnies and fish. To me pets are part of the family and should be loved and cared for. I'm currently an online college student meaning I have plenty of time to drop in on your little furry companion. Wantings and evenings are my preferred drop in time but afternoons are possible if you prefer. I have a fencing yard with two friendly dogs just in case you're furry companion needs a friend. I have extra crates and leashes if you cannot provide your own.

About: Hi! I'm 19 years old, and I've never known life without pets. Because of that, I understand how stressful it can be to leave your furry friends behind when you're away. I've cared for pets of all kinds throughout my life, cats, dogs, exotic pets, etc. I think what makes my care unique is my personal love of each pet. No matter their breed, size, or personality, I'll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I work part-time as I’m currently an online college student so plenty of time will be devoted to your pets! I am flexible when it comes to relocating to fit your pet’s needs! I live in an apartment with a spacious area to walk around outside and a dog park! I have one senior cat I rescued that sleeps all day in his cat tree. I’m well adjusted to all personalities of pets, the crazy ones, and the lazy ones!

About: Animals have always been my passion, and I have dedicated both my professional career and my ongoing education to ensuring they live their best lives. Having spent two years working in doggy daycare, I have had the privilege of supporting dogs of all ages and temperaments through their daily routines. I find genuine joy in providing the specific type of attention each dog needs to feel secure and happy, from managing puppy "zoomies" to honoring the slower, comfortable pace of a senior companion. By choosing to work with me, you are welcoming a dedicated, trained, and compassionate advocate into your pet's life who will ensure they feel right at home while you are away. I treat every animal I care for as if they were my own, and I am committed to making your pet’s time with me a positive and stress-free experience. I understand that every pet family has a unique rhythm, and my primary goal is to maintain that consistency while you are away. Because pet care is my full-time passion, I offer the flexibility required to adapt to your specific needs—whether your dog thrives on a structured routine of midday walks or requires the comfort of a consistent presence during overnight house-sitting. I pride myself on being highly adaptable to your schedule, ensuring your furry friend receives attentive, professional supervision and companionship that mirrors the care they are used to at home. I am committed to making your time away stress-free by providing reliable, dedicated, and high-quality care whenever you need it. In my home, my dogs are treated like family, just as all dogs deserve. They receive love and attention, and I cherish the quality time we spend together. Whenever I was dog sitting, I made sure the dog felt comfortable with both me and its surroundings. I also ensured that all their needs were met and that they were thriving. If the dog enjoys walks, they will be given one daily.

We are so lucky to have found Alexandria as our daily dog sitter/walker. Mabel loved her immediately and is excited to see her for their every day walks. Even if the weather doesn’t suit a walk, they spend the whole time playing or Mabel gets spoiled with pets and cuddles 🩶 I love the daily reports in the Rover cards that’s are detailed with multiple cute pictures as well. I would give Alexandria my highest recommendation!

About: I’ve taken Care of dogs my whole life and have now been doing dog boarding full time . Currently have one senior girl that we have in our home. Your pup would be loved taken care of and be given all the walks and treats you allow throughout their visit. I am working part time and would have plenty of time to tend to their needs. Feed them with whatever dietary restrictions you may have and normal potty breaks with space for back yard activities and dog walks I have a fenced yard and crates available if your dog needs it. If they are spending the night I have dog beds. They would have friends to play with that would require a meet and great

About: I professionally worked with dogs for 3 years and have experience working with all types of dogs large and small, high energy and mellow, social and shy. I’m well acquainted with administering medication orally and topically. High quality photos during our time will also be provided :) It’s a priority of mine to respect your home and leave your home just as it was when you left and with a happy dog when you return! NOTE: I do not accept 90+ lb dogs that are known to pull/get riled up by environmental factors. I am pretty small myself so I cannot safely handle such dogs. This is for the safety of both your pup and me! Thanks for checking my profile! As of now, I am currently unemployed and Rover is my main gig. That means more time and availability for you and your pup! If this changes it will be reflected here. I will always treat your home and your pet with utmost care and respect. ❤️ I’m in tune with reading dog behavior and language and can adjust my manner to whatever is needed to make your pet comfortable and happy.

I have worked on my grandpa's ranch and owned animals from fish to reptiles to cats and dogs as well critters. I have experience pet sitting and love getting to know and caring for all forms of pets. It is important to me that the dogs/ pets I watch get as much interaction and stimulation as they need. It can be stressful for all animals to not have their family members home, so giving them the comfort they need until you return is a top priority for me. Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you. I work the standard Monday - Friday 9am-5pm from home, but I can be available for drop-ins and walks. Early mornings, mid day or evenings. Also available weekends. I am an active person and can do long or short walks, or stay in for a while and play with cats and get their energy out. About: Hello, my name is May, and I use any pronouns. I grew up taking care of animals, and I have wanted to care, protect, treat, and defend them since I could breathe. I am a certified dog trainer and I have multiple years of professional animal care experience outside of Rover. My interests are medicine, welfare, conservation, education, and ecology. My skills are grooming, lodging, daycare, training, education, and medical care. I have even worked with dogs from k9 and search & rescue teams. I have experience caring for dog, cat, fish, turtle, chicken, guinea pig, lizard, and bird. I am a cat mother and fingers crossed a dog mom someday soon as well. I can take care of your pets/companion animals from any age, breed, or size. You name it, and I will be there for them. Common questions: What if my companion animal has a medical condition? You let me know what they need, and I can accommodate them, even if they have behavioral struggles. I am patient, understanding, and gentle. What if they need medications? No need to worry. I can administer medications via subcutaneous, transdermal, oral pills or liquids, or even instramuscular per perscription instructions. What if they are high energy? High energy animals have high activity levels, which means they require frequent exercise and attention. To accomodate these needs, I can be available for multiple daily visits, walk them, and even curate a training plan for them. Your animal family members deserve the best. They deserve a professional. Not just someone who loves them, but one who you can trust to care for them in every capacity while you're away in safe hands. My skills: ✨️ Administering medications (via any route; Oral liquid or pill, IM, SQ, Transdermal) ✨️ Grooming/Bathing ✨️ Nail Trims ✨️ Meal Prep & Feeding ✨️ Animal Behavior ✨️ Training ✨️ Medical Care Rover is something I fit into my life whenever I can while I work & continue education. Some seasons are busier than others, and that's normal. Companion Care is already a part of my daily life, so these requests come as a breeze for me. I try to update my calender monthly, but if things don't look right, if your other sitter isn't available, or if you just need someone ASAP, you are always free to message me any time in the app. I try to reply as soon as possible, but sometimes I don't recieve notifications, so it may take me a few hours to reply in some instances. My calender should reflect my un-availability at minimum. If you have any questions, please message me as I am flexible and will accommodate where possible. Keeping things fear-free as much as possible is a priority for me. I like to keep things calm, relaxing, and easy or neutral. When I meet them for the first time during the meet & greet, I wait for them to come up to me. It's what they are comfortable with. This helps everyone establish trust and familiarity. My hope is that I can be your go to whenever you need companion care. Sometimes, I use miracle tones to help with fear, it is soothing and calming for all. Wildlife or "Pet" TV is a great option to add to their environment while you are away as it helps them feel less alone and gives them something to interact with. I like to stick to a rhythm or routine. As I enter their palace, I introduce myself gently by using a high pitched soft tone and a treat. Then, I let them sniff me out before they welcome me through. Any grievances? No siree! Next, I like to start feedings and medications after activities. But, I take it at their pace. Afterwards, I will take care of cleaning & notes before my departure from their palace. What I value during my bookings: 💖Trust/Familiarity (Completing the Meet&Greet & sticking to a rhythm or routine) 💖Safety (Keeping doors locked) 💖Compassion (Always stay kind, patient & considerate) 💖Comfort (Temperature in the home, toys, beds) 💖Respect (Their boundaries and space) 💖Quality care/Ensuring all goals are met (Fulfilling all visit requirements) I will not force anything.

About: 🐾 Personalized, Experienced Pet Care I provide attentive, compassionate pet care that’s tailored to each animal’s unique needs and personality. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of many breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I take the time to truly understand each pet’s routine, energy level, and comfort needs so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. ⸻ 🐶 Specialized Experience: Puppies, Seniors & Foster Dogs I have extensive experience caring for very young animals who require close supervision, consistent routines, and positive guidance, as well as senior pets who need extra patience, gentle handling, and careful monitoring. I’ve also fostered many dogs, giving me experience supporting pets through transitions and helping them feel secure in new environments. I also have veterinary assistant experience in a veterinary hospital that includes patient support, client communication, and animal welfare. ⸻ 🐕 Reactive, Nervous & Training-Support Experience Through fostering and hands-on care, I’ve worked with reactive, nervous, and shy dogs, using calm handling and desensitization techniques to build confidence and reduce stress. I’m experienced in reading body language, preventing triggers, and creating structured, positive interactions that prioritize both the dog’s comfort and safety. ⸻ 🐈🐍🦜🐴 Multi-Species Animal Care In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for reptiles, birds, and large animals. This has strengthened my ability to follow detailed care instructions, maintain proper environments, and recognize subtle changes in behavior or health across many species. ⸻ 🛡️ Safety-First & Detail-Oriented Care Safety is always my top priority with every animal I care for. I’m highly detail-oriented with feeding schedules, medications, enrichment, potty routines, and special instructions. I focus on secure handling, clean environments, and constant awareness to ensure pets are protected and comfortable at all times. ⸻ 💬 Reliable, Loving & Communicative Whether your pet needs calm companionship, structured activity, training support, or extra TLC, I’m committed to providing reliable, knowledgeable, and loving care. I value clear communication and want every owner to feel confident and at ease knowing their pet is in capable, caring hands. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. As a student in a veterinary technology program, animal care is already a central part of my life, and I structure my schedule to allow plenty of time and flexibility for pets in my care. This allows me to be reliable and attentive with dog walks, drop-in visits, and care while owners are away, without rushing or cutting corners. I’m used to planning my days around animals’ needs, including consistent feeding times, exercise, enrichment, and observation. Because of this, I’m able to provide dependable, focused care and give each pet the time and attention they deserve. I also take great pride in taking pictures and updates of the animals in my care. So you can also feel connected and comfortable being away from your furry companions. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on providing a safe, structured, and comfortable environment that meets each pet’s individual needs. I live in an apartment but am surrounded by nature trails, which allows for plenty of exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation through regular walks and outdoor time. In my home, pets have designated, secure areas for rest, feeding, and play, and I carefully manage space to prevent stress or unsafe interactions. I do not have any permanent animals in my residence, which allows me to fully focus on the pets in my care, though I do foster puppies occasionally with proper separation and supervision. Safety is always a top priority—I follow secure leash practices, maintain a clean environment, monitor behavior closely, and strictly follow owner instructions to ensure every pet feels protected, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Gilcrest. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Gilcrest.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
