About: I’ve helped family and friends care for their dogs for years, including walking, feeding, bathing, and taking them on hikes. I currently live with three Great Danes that belongs to my cousin and I have helped care for them for the past nine years. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, from larger dogs such as Labradors to small Chihuahuas. I’m an empathetic person and a nurse and caring for and loving animals is part of who I am. I help take care of my father’s aging cat and have two small dogs of my own. I work from home and my house has a large fenced yard and a park nearby for walks and exercise! I work full time from home and am able to frequently let pets outside and take them on walks during the day. I have a great set up in my home to be able to care for dogs and cats. I have a large fenced yard and two small dogs who can keep your dog company and socialized! I am also able to crate my dogs if your dog or cat does better without other dogs. I also have a spare room I can board your cat if your cat doesn’t mix with dogs. I love taking dogs on walks and would love to walk your dog at the park right by my house or at yours. I can crate your pets if needed, feed them, provide fresh water, any additional care they may need and give them plenty of love and attention!

About: While my experience caring for pets professionally is limited, I worked in healthcare for a short stint out of high school, delivering medical oxygen supplies to peoples homes, and setting up the equipment for patients. One of my favorite parts of the job was when the patients had pets! Frequently, their pets warmed up to me as soon as I was welcomed in to do my work, which would always brighten up my day. Of course, I have pets myself. I've been caring for my cat, Winslow, for about a year and a half now. He's fantastically affectionate and he's been an excellent companion in my home. I also help my parents with their cats, since I live with them at the moment. As one last note, at my last job I attained a CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Human focused, of course, but I stilled learned the signs of a crisis in living beings and what to do when life hangs in the balance. I hope never to have to use said skills, but if a pet has a delicate health situation, I am equipped to get them the help they need if things take a turn for the worse. I am between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is about as open as it gets. I have my own responsibilities to tend to with my cat, but my parents can take care of him if your furry friend needs me around all day. First things first is a meet and greet to make sure your pet is comfortable around me. Once your pet and I have made each-other's acquaintance, we'll talk about how you usually go about caring for them yourself so we don't throw a wrench in their habits. If you're having me spend time in your home, we'll talk about how you expect me to conduct myself while house sitting.

I like to stick to a rhythm or routine. As I enter their palace, I introduce myself gently by using a high pitched soft tone and a treat. Then, I let them sniff me out before they welcome me through. Any grievances? No siree! Next, I like to start feedings and medications after activities. But, I take it at their pace. Afterwards, I will take care of cleaning & notes before my departure from their palace. I am upfront and honest about my schedule in advance so that you know what to expect. I am working as an emergency technician currently and my hours can vary. With planning, I can ensure I’m available to help out where I can! I routinely check your property for any damage to fences, open gates, or dangerous debris. On walks I make sure to have a well fitted harness or collar (harnesses are preferred) to prevent your baby from slipping loose in the event they get startled or spooked.
