“Chelsea is a wonderful pet sitter/dog walker. She is reliable, consistently communicative, and great with our dogs and cats. Unfortunately, she was taking care of our dogs during a very rainy week, but she did a great job drying them off and making sure they got out there (even if they didn’t want to go out!). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others!”

“Jennifer walked Chloe for the first time and she was great as usual. Chloe seemed so happy after her walk and now she’s napping after they ran the whole time. Can’t thank Jennifer enough for being so great to Chloe and Olivia.”

“We are so thankful for Emily! It was a rough month for our boys - they were sick most of this month and Emily would keep me informed on their walks and clean up any accidents they may have had. She is super communicative and always happy to help us!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve cared for rabbits, birds, and reptiles, including my bearded dragon, who I’ve owned and cared for for over 10 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and check in on their pets while they’re away. I understand that every pet has their own routine and needs, and I treat every animal with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. I have also raised 3 children over the last 22 years. I’m currently available with a flexible schedule and can provide morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend care depending on your needs. Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I enjoy spending quality time with pets, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication administration, or simply keeping them company while you’re away. I’ll do my best to maintain your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life and also have experience with rabbits, birds, and my bearded dragon of over 10 years. When caring for pets in your home, I follow all instructions carefully, respect your home as if it were my own, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m comfortable handling multiple pets, administering basic medications, and adapting to each pet’s unique personality and needs.
About: From my first pet bunny Nibbles at the age of seven, to now - a 26yo boy mom with my 12yo orange cat Fenway, 3yo Pitbull Xylo, and my two horses Karl and Scraps - caring for animals has always been my deepest passion. I have cared for all types of animals, large and small, and pride myself of providing the highest level of care and love to each one. I have my BS in Animal Science from UConn, have been a farm sitter for several families, cared for my own families animals, and have been an animal owner myself for nearly all my life. I have experience with a wide range of dog breeds - from Belgian Malinois to Chihuahuas to Swiss Mountain Dogs. I have cared for animals in all stages of life - from puppies to seniors, foals to stallions, kittens to wise older cats. I treat every animal I work with as if it was my own. I am currently a stay-at-home mom for my 18mo son while my husband is attending Navy basic training. I am new to the area and eager to explore, and am also consistently active with my own pup - we walk regularly, jog and play frisbee. Being able to provide other dogs with the same care fits perfectly into my active schedule. I am comfortable with crates, invisible fences, walking on slow or busy roads with dogs who walk beautifully on a leash, or those who don’t. I am able to provide the exact type of care and play that the owner needs for each individual animal.
About: I have cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and fish throughout my entire life. I currently work part time at a pet store and volunteer caring for cats who are searching for their furrever home. I have 5 cats and 2 rescue betta fish myself! I work part time at a local pet store and have a majority of my days open when I am not working. During my work days I will always check in with your baby before or after work, and sometime both if my shift is long. I ensure every water bowl is always filled with fresh water and food bowls are topped off (unless there is a strict feeding schedule in which case I will certainly follow). Frequent potty breaks/litter clean and some good zoomie exercise! I ensure all doors and windows are secured before leaving the house just to be safe.
About: I have taken care of my dogs- trained them as puppies. Have also taken care of my brothers animals for extended periods of time. Absolutely love dogs! I am currently taking some time to focus on summer semester and have many openings in my schedule. Dogs and school are my main two priorities! I love to walk and will only stick to safe routes when walking! I will always prioritize the safety of your animal and never do anything to put us at risk!
About: With years of professional dog walking and sitting experience, I’ve cared for all manner of canines. I can handle puppies as well as senior citizens and love spending time with them giving love and getting exercise. I work from home with a flexible schedule so am able to leave periodically throughout the day to care for pets. Please be aware prior to booking that my daughter (10 months old as of April 2025) comes with me on my walks and drop ins. She rides in a backpack carrier and does not come out of it, but only request a booking with me if you and your pet and comfortable with that. I have been entrusted with clients’ homes for years and am confident and able to abide by your requests and needs. I act with respect when allowed access to a client’s home and take care to honor their wishes regarding their animals and household.
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was young. I grew up with huskies until I moved out of my parents house. Now I have three dogs of my own. I would love to care for your fur babies! I work full time but am looking for a side job taking care of pets on my days off from work. I am currently available on Sundays and Wednesdays for drop in visits or dog walking! My availability may change week to week based on work schedule. I am open to learning what your pet needs! I can feed, walk, play, provide treats, etc. Please let me know If they have any allergies or dietary concerns, or if they have any problems with new people coming into the home!
“Lina came through after someone cancelled on me. She was very professional and communicative and sent pictures and videos while she was loving on my pups. I was a very grateful mama to her after a stressful morning. Would book her again, and I highly recommend for drop-in and walk visits!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud rescue dog owner! New to Rover and would love to help you with your pup! 2 years ago I adopted my pup when he was 10 weeks old and have loved every minute of raising my goofball sidekick. It’s Henry’s World and I have the honor of being a part of it!! Through training, daily exercise and lots of patience, I’ve gained firsthand experience with puppy energy, the importance of routine and building trust with dogs! I also cared for a dog for 7 months while her owner was deployed overseas, so I understand the importance of consistency, communication and dependable care when someone is trusting you with their pet. I’m attentive, patient, and happy to match each dog’s personality and needs - whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddles or just making them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. At the end of the day, it’s their world and we are just lucky enough to be a part of it!!! No 2 dogs are exactly alike and I love getting to know what makes each unique! I’m more than happy to adapt to your dogs specific needs, routines, energy level and personality to make sure they get the best care possible! I currently work from home so can help out in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I am very flexible with my schedule and can help at almost anytime! I am more than happy to come to your home where your dog is most comfortable to help care for them! I can walk them around the neighborhood or let them out in the yard to play! Whatever works best for you and your pet! My dog is a very anxious dog, so I am well versed in building and earning dogs trust!
About: I have taken care of animals since i was a child! I personally had 4+ dogs/cats at a time growing up since I was 5 years old and even now! As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home the majority of the day and night, which allows me to give consistent attention and supervision. I only step out briefly for school drop-off/pick-up or short errands, typically no more than a few hours total. Your dog will not be left alone for long stretches and will be treated like part of our daily routine, with regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of interaction throughout the day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live on 2 fully fenced acres, providing plenty of secure space to run and explore while always supervised. When indoors, pets are part of our family environment — relaxing, playing, or cuddling in a calm and clean home. I carefully follow each dog’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe and at ease. My goal is to create a structured but loving environment where your pup feels right at home.
About: Hi! My name is Leah and I live with my Husband, Xavier and our dog Tucker. Xavier and I love annimals and have done lots of pet care over the years so we decided to get on Rover to help save for our wedding and have enjoyed it so much we don’t want to quit. We’ll spend quality time with your pets and love them them like their our own! We always start our day with a walk around the neighborhood or on the walking trail across the street where we get to see lots of local wildlife. If we are working, we’re rarely both gone at the same time and can be mostly flexible for drop in additional potty breaks, plus another walk in the evening. Of course if we’re off that day, we love to dedicate more time to play, walks and snuggles. Since we’re dog owners living in a townhome, daily walks are essential. However we also have a fenced in patio/yard space for urgent/quick potty breaks.
“Fantastic! She’s helped me out a few times with last minute needs, and been very straight forward. She’s very communicative and a pleasure to speak with! I highly recommend her”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wide Awake
Erica has been absolutely amazing with our dogs. She’s been reliable, easy to communicate with, and just genuinely great to work with. You can tell she really cares and isn’t just going through the motions. Our dogs took to her right away and always came back from their walks happy and settled. The updates and photos she sends are such a nice touch and really give peace of mind. It’s clear she treats them with real attention and kindness. We fully trust Erica and feel lucky we found her. We’ll definitely keep booking with her and would recommend her to anyone who wants their pets in good hands.

I can not stress enough how amazing Brandy is. She is my go to sitter and I couldn’t imagine not having her! She has cared for my dogs a bunch of times now and this one took the cake. My boys have had some health issues lately and I was terrified to leave them…but Brandy took care of them as if they were her own. Made sure they got there meds and kept them comfy. She is a god send!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
