“Jasmine was so welcoming to not only our pup but our family. She made sure she welcomed us into her home to give us an idea of the atmosphere our puppy would be in. We are new puppy parents and she was very informal on any questions we had regarding potty training and puppy behavior. We will absolutely continue to book with Jasmine moving forward 😊”

About: Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a stay at home mom. I would be able to be here all day, everyday to care for and play with your beloved fur baby. I have a dog and cat of my own, they are both very friendly and love making new friends. I have a 4 year old daughter who is amazing with animals, so your baby/ babies would need to be okay with children. I have a fenced in back yard, and plenty of treats! I also have a large crate (I dont use it but its here if you have a crate trained fur baby that you would like me to keep that consistency with.) I would absolutely love to host your 4 legged family member and give you some peace of mind. I am a stay at home mom so I will be able to be here all day to love on and care for your furry family member. I have a dog named Jax who absolutely loves making new friends and playing and i also have a very relaxed cat who is also very friendly, chunky and 7 years old. We have a nice sized house with a fenced in backyard so there is plenty of room!
“Kathy B is amazing. We came to the Charleston area to visit friends and we brought with us a 10 month old, active, unneutered Bolonka puppy. We needed a safe place for him while I celebrated my birthday. Kathy not only kept him safe, but she kept him engaged and active. He had a ball playing with her and her family. I recommend her without any hesitation. She is kind, responsible, flexible and fun loving. Best of all, I was able to leave Toby with her without worrying about him.”

“Marina took great care of our dogs and was a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive, always gave us updates, and our dogs were very comfortable at her home.”

“Amazing experience! Y’all are SO kind. Our pup Georgia had a blast and was well taken care of. Thank you for helping us out with watching her while we were in a bind. Will definitely be booking again.”

“Alice was very kind and understanding with me. She reached out promptly and would stay in touch throughout the rover- daycare process. I received updates with pictures of Echo during the day which were much appreciated 🐾 I would use her services again.”

“This was my first time ever using Rover, Megan made it a very comfortable first experience. She kept me updated throughout the day with pictures and text! She made sure Rambo had a lot of exercise and fun. I will definitely will be rebooking and 100% recommend you using Megan for your dogs! Thank you so much”

“i can tell dog had such a great time with tonianne and that he really loves her, very excited to use her services again you can tell she really cares about the animals she’s watching!”

“My wife Karen and I were concerned that we needed to find someone new to watch Lacey while we were having a day date in Summerville, which is one of the things we always look forward to on a Saturday. We're very thankful that when others weren't able to help us, Lina came through! She did an outstanding job of taking care of our fur baby Lacey, making sure that everything was great by giving us an updated photo and video! We could not be happier about Lina's wonderful care for our canine daughter! We will be coming to her residence, and using her daycare services again!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my entire life, they have always been a huge part of my family! I am a firm believer that all pet’s are family & deserve to be treated as such. I’ve always helped look after my neighbors pets when growing up & now that I’m an adult, I also look after my friends’ pets as well. If I could spend all day everyday just taking care of them, I absolutely would! I have three pups of my own & to say that they are spoiled rotten is an absolute understatement. Benelli is GSD/husky, who is neutered & will be 5 in June. Daisy is 2, not yet spayed & is a chow chow mix. Lena will be 1 in March & is pure GSD. All of my pups are trained & do not go into a crate. They are both fun, loving & outgoing beings & we would love for your baby/babies to come play with us sometime! I’m a stay at home mom & have a 1 year old daughter. She loves all furry friends, big & small! I’m new to staying at home so I’m excited to get back into pup sitting, doing something I genuinely love to do! I have a fenced in backyard for my pups to express their energy & get some good playtime in, throughout the day. I am quite generous with the treats in between feedings as well. My pups eat twice a day & I keep it as close to 12 hour intervals as possible. Typically being 7am for breakfast & 7pm for dinner. If I were to care for your pets in your home, I will alter my schedule to accommodate your pets needs to best of my ability!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
