About: I have had a dog since i was 12 years old, the first dog i had was a chihuahua/miniature pinscher named Dinky. He was an older doggo but he was very active and could run super fast. A few years having Dinky I went to Mexico for a trip and came back with a 5 week old puppy named Ruby, she is a Small Griffon Basset Vendeen. I was able to potty train Ruby and still give attention to Dinky since he had gotten his teeth removed a bit before i got back, Dinky was a grumpy dog so at first he didn’t like Ruby but a few weeks later he got used to her and I trained her not to jump or push Dinky since he was a very small dog, he weighted just under 5 pounds and Ruby was 6 pounds almost 7. I have been my family’s pet sitter for about 4 years now and I feel very good knowing they have that trust with me and seeing how happy their pets react when they see me. All dogs have different personalities and I am always happy to adapt to it! I currently go to school twice a week so that gives me plenty of time for pet care! I am free any day to start pet sitting:) I try to spend time with them when they have energy and once they get tired I give them their space so that I don’t bother them. If the pet is at their home I let the pet smell me so they get comfortable and I try to stay in one spot or room so they have the option of going to another room when they want their own space and when they want attention or get comfortable enough then I try to make sure they have fun!

At home, I have a spacious backyard where my dog can run freely and take care of all her needs. Instead of kibble, I feed her fresh food to keep her healthy and make sure she’s getting all the proper nutrients she needs. She gets a monthly grooming session with specialized shampoo for her skin and fur. At night, she sleeps with a cozy blanket on her bed, which is right next to mine. At a clients home, I will tend to any needs the furry friend will possibly need. Whether it’s from playing with your 4 month old puppy to cuddling with your senior dog, or taking your dog out just for a nice walk. About: I enjoy all animals, so am happy to be of service to any pets, not just cats and dogs!! I’ve taken care of my family’s dogs since I was 12 and grew up with dogs since I was a baby. I helped potty train the dog we got when I was 12 and also taught him all of his tricks. He unfortunately was diagnosed with stomach cancer in January of this year (2026) and passed away a few weeks later. Arika did an incredible job taking care of Orion, our cat while we were away for a week. She brushed him every day, brought interesting toys for him to try out, and gave him lots of amazing care and attention! She even sent pix and videos. She also did small details like bring in the mail and even asked if we needed plants to be watered. She ended up watering our garden boxes which kept our plants alive while we were away.
