Delayna provided excellent care for my dog and cat over the weekend while I was away. My dog can be intimidating for some people to handle since he is big and dog reactive. She handled him well and I came home to a clean home and happy pets. Would highly recommend her to care for your pets.

About: Reliable and outgoing, I love animals of all sizes and shapes. From volunteering at shelters, to helping friends walk their dogs or caring for cats. I currently have a full time job, although I am available during the week days after 6pm and all weekend to play and care for your loved pets! I follow instructions very well and am detailed oriented. I like to send picture updates for extended care, or even after a one time daily walk! I’d like to make the most comfortable, easy and fun experience for owners and their pets.

About: I understand your pets are your babies and they need to be treated as such! I’m ready to do any task so matter how small or silly it may seem with my full heart and I can’t wait to meet everyone’s fur babies!! I also have extensive training and research in animal behavior and how to react to it and occasionally work at a doggy daycare. And I have grown up around animals and know how to handle reptiles, birds, rabbits, and other common pets. Pets are always welcome in my weekly routine! I’m a university student and I have classes 2 days during the week so I have plenty of time to take care of your babies! I also take care of the pets of my family and friends whenever they’re away and have boarded and does a home stay! I would approach the pet calmly using a calm voice and positive reinforcement to provide a loving relationship with them. I would also do everything I could to make them more comfortable, whether it be doing something silly that’s in their daily routine or give them extra special attention. I will always try my best to help them feel safe and taken care of!

About: Serving Lake Nona / East Orlando area / Downtown Orlando / Winter park / St. Cloud / Kissimmee Hello Pet Parents! My name is Elisa, and I’m a pre-vet biology student with a lifelong passion for animals and their care. Ever since I was younger, I’ve loved spending time with animals and began pet sitting and walking dogs for neighbors, which gave me experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Over the years, caring for animals has become more than just a hobby for me, it’s something I truly love and hope to turn into my lifelong career. I also come from an equestrian background, where I learned the importance of patience, responsibility, and understanding animal behavior. Working around horses taught me how important trust and gentle care are, and I carry that same mindset into every pet I care for. A little bit about me, I have my own dog named Wrangler! He’s a very active, high-energy dog, so I’m very comfortable with energetic personalities, long walks, enrichment, and keeping dogs engaged both physically and mentally. We go on 3-mile walks and hikes daily, so whether your dog loves being active or prefers a slower, calmer pace, I’m happy to adjust to what makes them most comfortable. I also understand reactive dogs, as my own dog has had reactivity challenges in the past, so I always approach pets with patience, awareness, and compassion. I also have 2 birds that I’ve had since I was just 9 years old! Having two birds of my own has given me hands-on experience caring for pets with different personalities, needs, and boundaries. I understand that some birds can be bitey, nervous, or uncomfortable around new people, and I know how important it is to respect their space and build trust rather than forcing interaction. For shy or less social birds, I am comfortable stopping by to provide fresh food and water, clean their area, offer enrichment, and make sure they are safe and comfortable while respecting their boundaries. As a future equine veterinarian, animal health and safety are extremely important to me. I’m comfortable administering medications and making sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is always to make your pet feel loved and at home, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring and reliable hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets P.S: Expect TONS of fun photos! My Pet Care Schedule * I’m available most early mornings early-late afternoons, which works well for walks, drop-ins, and playtime. *I work part-time too! So make sure to consult with me so we can work around my schedule. I am free early mornings and late afternoons during those days. * I avoid scheduling walks between 11 AM– 3PM, especially in hot weather, to keep dogs safe from peak heat. * I’m flexible outside of those times and happy to work with each pet’s routine and needs. For example : 30 Minute Dog Walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup the exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation they need during the day 30 Minute Drop-Ins include potty breaks, feeding, play, mental enrichment and of course plenty of snuggles to keep your pet happy + and comfortable while you're away. How I Care for Pets During House Drop-Ins & Dog Walking * I treat your home with respect, keeping everything clean, organized, and just as you left it, while making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar space. * I follow your pet’s normal routine. walks, meals, potty breaks, and rest so they feel secure and relaxed while you’re away. * I love incorporating enrichment into my visits, so I often bring a sniff mat and tailor activities to what your dog enjoys most. I pay attention to their personality and preferences so each visit feels engaging and meaningful for them. * I make an effort to really get to know your dog what they like, what motivates them, and what helps them feel happiest so I can adjust my care to fit them, not just a routine. * Treats and rewards are always personalized based on what your dog enjoys (because every good pup has opinions, and I respect them). * I focus on safe, structured walks that match your dog’s energy level, whether they prefer a calm sniff and stroll or a more active outing. * My goal is to make each visit feel positive, enriching, and comforting for your pet, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re genuinely cared for.

About: I have had taken care of/lived with various dog breeds, and have walked and raised dogs since I can remember. I have volunteered at Alaqua walking and playing with dogs, and I have experience dog sitting and walking dogs via Rover and family connections. I have worked with puppies, middle aged dogs, older dogs, both big and small! I love dogs unconditionally and I will do everything in my power to ensure they stay spoiled and happy :). As of now, I am attending University of Central Florida, so I am willing to work around my classes and my work schedule once I find a stable job! I cannot care for pets at my own home, but I will ensure that when I come to your home, I will keep it looking good as new. I am a chronic dish washer if any dishes or slight cleaning needs to be made. I am also no stranger to accidents that dogs are prone to, as one of my past dogs had a sensitive stomach, especially when it came to my carpeted floors. I will do whatever your dog wants to do, but my favorite aspect of it all is to ensure that the dog is happy and to make a connection with them. I love being active and playing, but I can also just simply snuggle up with them.

About: I have five dogs myself. They’re all well trained and friendly with other animals! I live on a large farm with plenty of space for dogs to run. I trained two of my dogs a few tricks each as well as potty trained them I work about four hours a day outside of my home. I always take care of my dogs before and after work. I have family let them out to pee and eat while I’m at work. I spend the evenings playing indoor with them My dogs have a large kennel inside that they sleep in at night. I have hosted dogs before and they sleep in my garage. It’s a warm area year round and if not then they will sleep inside in a separate kennel. I have orchards next to my house so your dogs will be taken on walks throughout them! Two of my dogs spend most of the day outside (depending on the weather).

JayShaun is incredible! I was surprised and grateful to pick up a relaxed, clean dog: I could just tell Jayshaun went above and beyond. His individual attention and efforts to keep Aegon (my dog) positively occupied, plus going the extra mile on maintaining his professionalism when I had to make an accommodation to my arrival due to flight delays really showed his five star service. Jayshaun’s relaxed demeanor is ideal for a high energy pup! I will absolutely be a repeat customer! Thanks for aiding in my sanity while I was away!

FAQs for House Sitting - Wewahotee

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 2,932 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wewahotee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wewahotee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wewahotee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wewahotee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wewahotee. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
