About: I became the neighborhood pet sitter in Encinitas, for cats and dogs. Each neighbor referred me to the next until I was caring for an entire neighborhood. Each pet has individual needs and I strive to provide the care that they require with love and attention. I have experience with cats and dogs for over 30 years. I work part time and my shifts are typically only 3-4 hours. Petsitting/Housesitting is convenient for me. I can board well-behaved pets at my home where my elderly mom is pretty much home all the time so even if I'm at work there is still a loving companion at home. Safety is priority! I request a detailed list of instructions and all emergency information. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals so they are not out of my sight much. At my home, I have a fenced yard and am careful with cleaning products and materials to keep them out of reach.

I grew up in a household with cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters and fish at different times. I had two cats and two dogs as an adult that have since passed away. My favorite place at a party is with the animals. I’m a full time work from home professional. Mostly M-F days with flexible hours. I’m able to work one on one with my clients to figure out what works the best for you. Able to work anywhere with a WiFi connection and willing to do this at your home or mine to give full time companionship to your pet as needed. If bringing your pet to my home works best, I live in a one bedroom apartment in Marina Del Rey. My building has a dedicated pet area and walkable neighborhood with a small park for daily dog outdoor time. Willing to work with crates, medication or any other special needs

“Katherine is always so good with our two huskies! She sends updates and pictures every day, is very on top of walks and exercise, and gives them all the attention they need. She does great administering the many pills our epileptic dog needs and also handles our other dogs reactivity on walks well. The dogs love her and have a great time, and this plus her regular communication always keeps us happy and worry free while away from our dogs. We would highly recommend Katherine to anyone!”
