“f I could give Scott more than 5 stars, I would! We were away on an 18-day international trip, leaving our 13-year-old senior dog, Dexter, in Scott's care. He exceeded every expectation and gave us complete peace of mind. During our trip, Dexter experienced a seizure and wasn't feeling well for a couple of days. At the same time, our neighborhood was impacted by the West Hollywood water main break, with water rushing down the street just feet from our building. Through it all, Scott remained calm, compassionate, and in complete control. He cared for Dexter exactly as we would have and kept us updated with consistent communication, photos, and videos. When our flight home was delayed in New York by more than three hours, Scott immediately offered to extend his stay for as long as needed to ensure Dexter was never left alone. That kindness and flexibility meant so much to us. Scott also took wonderful care of our home and was the perfect house guest. It's clear he genuinely loves animals and treats them like family. We came home to a happy Dexter and a spotless home. We wholeheartedly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable pet sitter. “Gaby is a lifesaver! My senior dog was diagnosed with retinal degeneration disease and went blind within a matter of weeks. She had to undergo medication right away, which had side effects in the bowels... all the day before I had to leave town. This was the first time Gaby met and stayed with our dog. She went beyond the call, going to the store to get pumpkin, paper towels, and everything else that was needed. My dog loves her, we love her, and I don't think anyone else will ever be able to take care of our dog but Gaby. Thank you for your kindness and patience.”

About: I am new to Rover, but not to pet care! I've worked both as a house and pet sitter as well as volunteering at my local animal shelter back at home for over 10 years now. I am experienced with senior pets, as well as anxious and high energy pets. All animals deserve love and patience! I am a graduate student, so I have to be on campus for a short window (1-2 hours) on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Outside of this, I am very flexible! I’m always happy to accommodate any special requests to make sure your home and/or pets are well looked after. I am also happy to flex around extra tasks like plant care, or smaller additional pets like fish, birds, etc.

“Lauren was a great house & pet sitter for me. Her communication was clear, she treated my home with respect and she left everything in great condition. She sent daily pictures of my cat to let me know all was going ok, and would send more if I requested. I've had prior house sitters that have spent little time actually in my home while they worked other jobs, but when I'm out of town I like to know that someone is around and giving a good presence at my house so my cat is not alone for extended long periods of time. While I'm flexible with the amount of alone time my cat has, I felt Lauren stayed true to her agreement of watching my cat in my home and that she did spend a good amount of time there. Mikayla went above and beyond while housesitting for me. My dog required medication to be given to her twice a day and Mikayla not only ensured she got it but provided frequent updates throughout the stay so I knew my dog was doing okay. She brought in packages, ensured the place was tidy before she left and offered to check back on the girls if my travel schedule got delayed. I truly was able to rest easy during my time away knowing Mikayla was taking care of not only my animals but my home.
Ali stayed with my anxious cat twice and did such a great job following my (excessive) instructions. She calmed him down through a stressful reaction to me leaving, and also followed an enrichment schedule, played with him, gave him his inhaler and anxiety meds on a schedule. I came home to a very happy well-cared for kitty. I’m grateful for Ali taking such good care of him and will definitely be booking her again!
Hanna was amazing! We were going away for the weekend and our usual sitter was not available. Hanna stepped in did an amazing job with our dog and two cats. She went above and beyond, taking care of the house and sending regular updates via text and photos. The animals seemed to really vibe with her, and they can be picky sometimes! She’s very trustworthy and communicative and we wouldn’t hesitate a heartbeat in hiring her again.
Tommy was outstanding. We have a big household of pets and he handled them all with love and care. He consistently sent updates to us throughout our trip to ensure we had peace of mind knowing they were well cared for. We have mixed ages with different energy levels/needs, and he handled them all exceptionally well. We did in home care for our pets and the house remained cleaned while we were gone, and there were printed pictures he took of our fur babies on the counter. A nice surprise to come home too. I highly recommend and trust Tommy to not only stay in our home, but watch our pets any time! I will absolutely book with him again, and will likely change dates of trips to match his availability rather than book with someone else. Peace of mind is priceless for me when on vacation.
Just the absolute best pet sitter I’ve ever had (and I’ve had so so many over the years)!!! Grace took incredible care of all 3 of my little guys, 2 of which needed medication both morning and night. And my pup who needs to be let out to pee every couple hours due to her medication. I have never felt so at ease leaving my babies before, it was such a gift to be able to relax and trust they were in good hands. She made me feel so comfortable. Every photo she sent my pup was snuggled into her lap, or my cats sprawled out on the bed, just happy as can be. They completely loved her. And I came home to a SPARKLING house, cleaner than I left it. I am in awe! I would recommend her to anyone. And I will be calling her back everytime I leave town in the future ❤️🍀
Gillian did a fantastic job with our cat Lenny and dog Bonnie. Bonnie can be a handful because she is very nervous but Gillian kept us updated and proposed many resolutions to try and make Bonnie feel more comfortable. We can always relax on our trips and rest easy knowing our fur babies are in great hands with someone who truly cares! Thank you Gillian.
Kendi is so patient with my reactive dog, my super independent dog and my “must carry me I’m tired” dog 😅 Whether it’s walks, keeping them all calm during a party or working to earn Benji’s trust, Kendi is truly a friend to my puppers and I am so glad we found her.
Anna was fantastic. Our pup can be a little nervous with new people, and this was our first time leaving her with someone from Rover. Anna was amazing about communicating, updating us about how she was doing and Marina ended up cuddling with her all night. Thankful our first experience went so well!
