“Elizabeth had quite the scare today walking Iggy. Iggy went off happily with Aunt Liz for a first time walk. They had a good walk until Iggy saw 8 flying deer in our local park ( where I had asked her to walk Iggy). Iggy pulls when she sees deer and pulled a bit too hard and got loose. Elizabeth ran after her but Iggy runs pretty fast. She couldn’t contact me because it was my Sabbath. Therefore, Elizabeth called the police and asked local folks for help. Within half an hour, Iggy was found by the police near the park and returned to Elizabeth who had photos of Iggy to prove that she was Iggys dog walker. I picked Elizabeth as a dog walker because of her solid reviews. Despite this being a very scary situation, Elizabeth kept her cool snd did all the right things to get Iggy safely home. And the pics are adorable!!!”

About: Since the age of 7 years old I have always had a dog around my families home. Along with my family pet, I have experience taking care of dogs that range in age and size. I have experience with 6 month old puppies that need a lot of attention through 14 year old dogs that need medication given to them. Over the years, I have taken care of pets for my friends and family ranging from a day, a weekend, to a whole week. Having a dog of my own, I understand the difficulties of finding the right sitter as well as the importance of finding the right one. I am currently a Graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. For the summer, I am taking online asynchronous classes. Since my classes are asynchronous I am able to work my school schedule around my pet sitting schedule. With that being said, I still need a couple hours each day to devote to my school work. When it comes to someone else's home, I follow all the directions that are given to me. I am very versatile depending on the needs of the pet and owner. When it comes to walks, I always walk dogs with their leash and preferably a harness for long walks (but if they don't have one that is okay as well). If I bring the dog to my own home, I have a deck with a gate and a big backyard for playing.

About: I am lifetime cat owner and currently have 4 cats and 1 dog of my own. I have fostered several dogs, I volunteer as a dog handler at adoption events and socializing cats in boarding. I have attended training for my own dog for obedience. I am currently retired, so I am pretty flexible on hours, however I prefer daytime care. I am available on weekends or weekdays with a little advanced notice. My cats and the dog are well fed and always have fresh water. The cats and dog nails are clipped; they are always groomed. The cats litter box is cleaned multiple times a day. The dog gets taken outside or walked numerous times a day. The cats and dog have plenty of toys and are always given plenty of love.

About: Dogs love me! And I love them. I’ve taken care of dogs for many years. And I will treat your fur baby as if he/she were my own. Taking care of pets is natural way of life for me. I am mostly free on the weekends for pet walking and pet drop ins. Currently not caring for dogs in my home. This may be a future service that I offer once I can set this up with my own pets.

About: Love both dogs and cats. I do not have “professional” experience, but have owned dogs my entire life. My last dog passed away 2 years ago from cancer and I miss having a furry friend, so would enjoy taking care of yours. My entire family loves animals, so your pet will be well loved and cared for. I do have children, so the dogs or cats I would be able to board will have to be child friendly pets. I have experience with large dogs, pit bulls, mastiffs and small dogs, Pomeranians. I also understand the anxiety pets go through when separated from their owners, so I will make sure to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. Basically care for your dog as I would want my dog cared for.

About: I have been caring for pets my entire life. I have cats and a rabbit of my own and have been dog walking for years. I am a college student so I can be very flexible. I have lots of free time to dedicate to your adorable cats and dogs! I work well with all animals. My own cat is very skidish so this is something I am used to handling. I also am good at sensing the emotions of animals and when it is time to take them away from a situation.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of every kind ever since I was a young child. Growing up I would also help my grandmother with foster dogs from a variety of backgrounds and even helped multiple timid or reactive dogs come out of their shell. I have been trusted to take care of pets of friends and family as well as caring for my own cats and 2 high energy dogs. I am comfortable handling many different animals and love meeting new pets! I’m currently looking for a new part-time job, so for the time being I’m available most days and times during the week. When I am working I never work longer than 8 hours and am happy to attend to the pets on my way to and way home from work. I am open to working with whatever the set up is and what pets are used to. I’m happy to playing with dogs outside in a fenced in yard, walking them, or playing inside. I usually spend as much time with whatever pets I’m sitting if the family is on vacation, for example sitting in the house with them or playing longer than simply letting them out or feeding them. The same goes for cats if the cats are friendly and feeling social.
