I have the ability to channel their boundless energy in a productive way, whether through play or structured exercise. I have a 11 year old pit bull which gives me experience with caring for a senior dog but understanding the slower pace, possible joint pain, or health issues that may require extra care. Being observant of subtle signs of discomfort, such as limping & notifying the owner if needed. Knowledge of how to administration oral medications & liquids. About: I have been taking care of pets for over 20 years, starting with my first job as a dog walker and pet sitter. I have continued this on the side in addition to my full-time profession (teacher) and would love to provide an open door for your dog(s) as well! My schedule is very fluid and I get multiple breaks throughout the day, so there will be very little alone time for your dog, however, as a teacher and a coach I have some weekdays that are busier and your dog may be left in the home for 2.5 hour windows until I return from coaching. I will ask you to provide any specifics in terms of pet care for your dog prior to having me pet-sit, unless there are no special requests. If no special requests are given, I take the dogs out about 4 times per day - twice for short bathroom trips, one short walk, and one extended walk. If the dog is older or lower energy I will adjust the extended walk to another short walk.
