“Alexandria is so kind, gentle, and thorough! You can truly tell she takes care of the animals like they are her own. She wants to make sure they are comfortable and stick to their routines as much as possible. Rocky definitely enjoyed his time with her!”

“Chad and family were great! Chad was extremely welcoming, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Chad sent daily updates and took Remi on his favorite walks. Sandy is a great host dog and Remi came home tired from playing! We will book again when needed and would highly recommend!”

“Merrell was a fantastic and very attentive dog sitter. We got regular updates and photos of our boy playing with her dog and running around! He came home and went straight to sleep. I know he got plenty of activity and I never worried once while he was gone. I highly recommend Merrell for your dog sitting needs.”

About: I have had a dog (childhood puppy at home) my whole life and she is my best friend! I have fostered multiple puppies, some who aren’t potty trained, and have experience overnight sitting. My roommates also love to have furry friends around! I am a full time graduate student with a part time job, but will be home a lot and love to get exercise walking. I also have 5 other roommates who would be happy to help out if I am busy with class. I have a front patio for quality outside time, but it is not fenced. I will be outside with your pet whenever we hang out on the patio, otherwise we will be inside.

I have also fostered 20+ dogs while volunteering for two no-kill rescues in Minneapolis. I worked for several years a holistic pet food and supply shop in Minneapolis, to boot. My home in Earlewood is the permanent residence of me and my two domestic shorthair tabbies, Derrick and Daryl. They’re great with other pets, especially dogs. Your dogs will enjoy a wooded double lot in a super pet friendly neighborhood. I love dog walks and ours is a super pet friendly neighborhood! “Lashika was great. I had reached out months before I needed her, we kept in touch and had our meet and greet shortly before our cruise. She took great care of our boys for almost 2 weeks. She sent pictures and kept us up to date on them. Needless to say we were excited to see them when we got home but we were able to relax on our cruise knowing Lashika was taking excellent care of them. Thanks so much for everything ? Bear and Murphy's mama”

“Adia was great with Milo. I could tell when I picked him up that enjoyed his time with her. He normally runs to the car without a look back but this time he actually came back to say bye. I was shocked. Lol. But I will definitely be back. Thanks Adia!”

“Daniel and his wife took excellent care of my dog. My boy is a senior dog currently taking some medication; they made sure he was well feed and got his medicine on time. I received several text messages, videos, and pictures during my dog's stay with them. Also, they have an awesome dog named Maxwell. Maxwell was a excellent companion for my old boy. I look forward to working with them again in the future whenever I have to travel. Thanks again! ❤️??”

Charlotte is knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, has a great fenced in backyard and a beautiful Boxer named Woody. As a nervous first-time dog parent, I feel completely comfortable leaving KoKo in Charlotte’s care. I have already booked her for another service! Thank you Charlotte!”

“I will be using Qais for all my boarding needs from now on! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kasey! From the moment I left my fur baby in her care, I knew he was in great hands. She followed all of his feeding instructions perfectly, made sure he received his medication as directed, and went above and beyond to provide the love and attention he needed. What impressed me most was how Kasey treated him as if he were part of her own family. It was clear that she genuinely cared about his well-being and happiness, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. Kasey was also incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay. She kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, making me feel connected and completely stress-free knowing my pup was being so well cared for. The level of professionalism, compassion, and dedication she showed exceeded all of my expectations. I came home to a happy, healthy, and well-loved dog, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend Kasey to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable to care for their pets. She is truly exceptional!

Kathy is absolutely AMAZING. First, she took my dog with only hours notice. Second, my dog has historically been aggressive with other dogs. Kathy had her running outside and playing with a bunch of other dogs. Finally, I am going through an incredibly tough time personally which led to me needing a sitter and she was so kind and supportive to me. And while my dog was with her, I never had to worry about her once. She sent pictures and videos and kept me updated frequently. I can’t begin to thank Kathy enough for her compassionate and loving care of my sweet pup ❤️
This was my first time using rover.com and the experience was exceptionally good.. Michelle, Daniel and their family were very friendly and warm and made me at ease about leaving My Puppy in their care.. also going above and beyond to try to get my pup to eat being that he was out of his norm.. I will definitely use the service again and hope that Michelle is available.
Nikki did an amazing job with our girl Esmae! Not only did she take amazing care of her, she kept us in the loop with pictures and videos of how she was doing while we were away. She was very fast to respond when I first reached out. She even taught Esmae how to play fetch. She didn't JUST watch her she loved on her and made her feel welcomed and comfortable. She took her on walks and had play time in the backyard, and cuddled time before bed. Thank you again Nikki!

Charlotte was absolutely wonderful with our 1 1/2 year old bernedoodle, Wren. She treated her like one of her own and even took her to our local dog park (that we are also members of) for extra outside play with other dogs. She sent lots of pictures and videos, was super responsive and communicated throughout our time away. Wren was super happy and playful when we picked her up which is a testament to how comfortable and well taken care of while we were away! We hope to have Charlotte care for her again the next time we’re away.

Katelyn and her family were WONDERFUL! Her toddler was so gentle with Scout & Sadie and they loved her. Katelyn spoiled my babies with lots of play time outside and petting. I loved getting photo and video updates from her. She has a big, safe backyard for playing and she was so kind and gentle with them. We will DEFINITELY use Katelyn in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
