“Chad and family were great! Chad was extremely welcoming, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Chad sent daily updates and took Remi on his favorite walks. Sandy is a great host dog and Remi came home tired from playing! We will book again when needed and would highly recommend!”

“Once again, Assatta took amazing care of Joonie. She was very attentive to whatever his needs were and ensured she sent pictures or videos with updates daily. She was very flexible with times and worked around my schedule for drop off and pick up. She’s extremely reliable and I appreciate her treating my big boy like her own. He clearly had an amazing and eventful week bonding and playing with Assatta’s dog because he’s been knocked out resting and snoring all weekend long lol. I guess he has to catch up on his sleep now lol Thank you Assatta!! 🙂”

“Fantastic environment for King as he enjoys himself and feels like home. They really take care of your pets and I will continue to use them in the future.”

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and began pet sitting for neighbors and family friends around the age of 10. I’ve had a dog of my own for about 6 years now who gets along very well with other dogs and cats. Happy to care for pets of any age and willing to administer medications or provide other special needs to pets if needed. I have a lot of free time in the next couple of months as I am waiting to start a job a few months from now. I will have plenty of time to drop in to check on pets, regular walks, and boarding! I have a very friendly dog that gets along well with cats and dogs alike. I am happy to welcome your pet into my home or come to your home to care for your fur babies too.
“So happy! My dog was able to experience comfort and excitement while on my trip .. Ms. Nikki constantly sent photos and videos and informed me about the changes in my dog. Thank you once again from myself and Marley !”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a teenager and have experience with a wide variety of breeds and personalities. Currently, I have a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix and a 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier. Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for German Shepherds, Beagles, Pit Bulls, Jack Russells, Labradors, and Schnauzers, and at one point had as many as six dogs. I’ve also owned a cat and have experience caring for cats as well. Friends frequently trust me to pet sit for them, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or needs a little extra patience, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I also am a Volunteer Dog walker and caregiver at Columbia Animal Shelter. I have a very flexible schedule and am committed to providing reliable, attentive care while you’re away. I’m currently in the army and work 2-3 days a week.my husband stays at home full time. I have a very flexible schedule. I care for every pet as if they were my own. In my client’s home, I follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of attention and affection. I know how important consistency is for pets, especially when their owners are away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment with regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and lots of love. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, personality, and comfort level to help them feel secure and happy.
“Sebastian was amazing with my Marley. He was very attentive and very personable. He sent us updates everyday and was a pleasure to work with. We will only trust him from now on with our Marley.”

“Monica and Christopher were awesome. I was able to book extremely short notice and I got tons of updates and pictures! I had a nervous baby, and they took her in without questions and within the first night I had pictures of my "nervous" kid playing, cuddling, and smiling like she was home!”

“Very friendly, lots of pics and updates, and most important... They were patient with my spoiled mutt. They were just as friendly as they were professional. Definitely recommend them in high esteem.”

“The pups are so tired from all the socializing and walks! Michael is quick to respond and provides updates and pictures. He was very helpful with keeping the pups a few extra hours when my flight was delayed coming back.”

“Although I booked at the very last minute with Niagara, that did not change the quality of care my Lola received from her. I really appreciated the texts and picture mail throughout her stay. Book with her, you will not be disappointed. I know I was thoroughly impressed.”

“Sally was extremely communicative and professional. Our dog Huck loved being at her house and came home calm and clearly very loved on. Would highly recommend using Sally.”

“Monica was amazing! She was so warm and welcoming and immediate our girl seemed so comfortable around her. Monica kept us updated on our Cassie who does not travel well and will go off food for a couple days. Monica made suggestions for how to help her and finally got her to eat! Cassie had a great stay and we will definitely use Monica again!”

“I will be using Qais for all my boarding needs from now on! Kept me updated on their day to day, send multiple photos and videos, and made sure the dogs were stimulated by taking them on long walks through trails. He truly cared about my dogs and made sure that their experience was stress free and comfortable for them, which I appreciate greatly.”

“Kristen was able to take on boarding our pup last minute and was very communicative and sent multiple updates throughout his stay with her! We picked up a happy, tired dog. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Milo was well taken care of during his stay over the holidays; Mr.keith was professional from the start, asking in-depth questions about Milo's routine, potty breaks, feeding schedule, I could tell Milo bonded with Mr.keith and the family and thoroughly enjoyed himself playing with the other dogs from the updates I received, I highly recommend this sitter!”

“Margie was really good with him even though he had separation issues. The house were really clean and the yard were perfect for any dog. She kept me updated on how he was doing. I would definitely give her a 5 star.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
