We left our cat, Moses, in Aaron’s care for 31 days. When we returned, Moses was well fed and well hydrated. Now that we are back home, I think Moses misses Aaron more than missed us! 😊 Aaron not only cared for our cat, he provided kindness and love. I could tell from the photos Aaron sent after every visit that Moses was comfortable being around him. Thank you Aaron, we will 100% contact when we leave for our next extended vacation.

About: I grew up in a household full of animals, three dogs and three cats. I’ve experienced my fair share of pets needs for as long as I can remember. I also love to foster puppies when I get the chance, even though they can be really tricky. I raised my puppy malibu during quarantine and took care of her constantly making sure she was potty trained and getting all her puppy energy out. I also know how to treat older pups because of one of mine that recently passed away due to health issues. she was diabetic and needed insulin shots daily and constant care. I’m currently a junior at the university of south carolina and love to care for animals during my free time. I’m constantly fostering from the local shelter to help out in any way I can. I normally take long walks with them in between class and play outside to give them the attention they deserve. I live in an animal friendly apartment that has a dog park and plenty of outside area to walk around and play. I always make sure the animals needs come first so they always have water, food, and plenty of toys.

Sam was wonderful! She arrived on time and texted us to let us know her ETA. Our two babies are slow to warm up to new people, but Sam was great with them. She was very engaged and asked questions that clearly indicated how focused she was on learning about our babies. We were surprised at how quickly our two little ones acclimated to Sam. I highly recommend her!

About: I love pets because they all have different personalities like us. We get to know them and who they are while they get to know us. I am a Junior at UOfSC and I work part time as a cashier. They are my main 2 priorities but I am always willing to discuss how I can fit into you and your pets schedule! I have my own toy poodle named Cody at home and we go for walks everyday. We love to take runs after I get off of school and come back for a nice lunch with some rest. While I take care of others dogs, I ensure they have clean water and food bowls, that they get fresh air, and enough time to use the bathroom. I think it’s important for dogs to be outside and active (especially if they’re as hyper as my dog), so walking, running, or even sitting outside is my favorite thing to do.

Molly was fantastic! She seemed to really enjoy spending time with my cats, even if only one of them is a social creature. She provided great daily updates and even went the extra mile when some ants popped up around the food bowls. I’ve already booked with her again!

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was little. I’m currently a registered nurse. I love when the therapy animals come by, probably more than the patients do! I am mostly available on weekends and some days during the week! I am an RN so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m off on weekends and holidays! On days that I do work, I’m off usually around 5pm. I am able to spend as much time needed on drop-in days as your pet needs. I will not rush them to eat or go outside.

About: My pups were extremely picky, extremely loved doggies with daily scheduled enrichment activities and very peculiar routines and I loved every moment of it. People called them “high maintenance,” but they just knew what they want and how they wanted it and that was okay with me. It fits really well! I am in a hobby filled part of my life and I miss my dogs, so I’m excited to get a lot of time around animals. I have a fenced yard, but I would only keep animals at my house in an emergency. I would prefer going to a client’s home so the pet can be comfortable and in their element.

About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs my whole life! I have experience with young, senior, active, and working dogs. My family dog growing up was born deaf and with a thyroid condition so I am very familiar with medication admission or other disabilities. My husband and I often work different shifts so someone is often home with the dog(s). I have no problem moving work around to care for your furbaby! I have a fenced in yard and large home. There is only one dog and plenty of room for the dogs to stretch their legs or spread out. I am active and will run or walk your pet!

About: Hey there! I'm an avid dog lover and experienced dog caregiver ready to provide exceptional care for your furry friends through Rover. I've got you covered whether it's dog sitting, taking care of young pups, or providing attention to older dogs. I spend most my days at home so don’t worry about them getting left behind! While not on rover, I open my home to foster dogs to help them find their fur-ever homes! When it comes to bath time, I'll make sure your dog receives a spa-like experience, keeping their coats clean and healthy. And let's not forget about exercise! I know how important it is for dogs to stay active, so I'll be sure to provide engaging playtime and regular walks to keep them happy and energized. I’m right next to the riverwalk so walks and runs with a view are literally right around the corner! But let's get real, what's dog care without some quality cuddle sessions? I'll make sure your pooch feels loved and comforted, as cuddling is an essential part of the dog-human bond. So, if you're looking for a responsible and passionate dog caregiver who knows the importance of exercise, and plenty of cuddles, I'm here for you and your four-legged friend. Let's make sure your pup has a tail-wagging time with me on Rover! I work part time and do lot on my computer. I’m a photographer so I spend time on my computer editing but if you ever want a puppy portrait session I’ve got you covered! Taking care of pets is like second nature after a life of taking care of pets. Making sure they get fed, exercise, and treats for good behavior! I’ll be sure to give them time outside and lots of affection, and whatever else you’d like!

About: I'm a self-employed pet lover and dog sitter with lots of experience under my belt. I also work part time to make sure my family future is secure. While I don't have any dogs of my own, I will welcome yours with open arms and care for them as if they're mine! I live in a spacious, two story house and have ample room for your pet to play. My yard is fenced in and very secure. Since there are stairs in my house, dogs with hip or back problems may sleep downstairs. I keep a clean home. If it is a faint smell of dog pee, it’s because dogs do use the restroom on my carpet (I am a dog sitter and most dogs do so in my home, especially the “not so potty trained” ones). I make sure to clean up after every service rendered. Stays on day of pick up after 2 pm can occur additional fees. References are available upon request. About this sitter: I have been pet sitting for several years. I love all animals, especially dogs. I am self employed who work from home, which leaves me plenty of time to spend with your dog. I also have a part time job to make sure my family future is secure. Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up around them and have been pet sitting for several years. About my yard I have a spacious, fenced-in backyard.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 10 years old! I helped train and take care of my family dog since she was a puppy, and I still do when I visit home. I have also recently fostered a puppy, so I am familiar with the concept of constant and longer term pet care. I am a full time student, though my schedule is fairly open. I am available Mondays and Wednesdays after 3:30 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays after 2:30 pm, and all day Friday-Sunday (with occasional exceptions). I have a house with space and a fenced in yard, ideal for pets. I can let your pets out, walk them, feed them, and crate them if needed, as I have done all of the above for pets in my care.

About: I have a Pekingese who is almost 20 years old and a Great Dane that is almost 9! Let me love your animals like they are my own ❤️ I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I will send all the pictures/videos you want of your furbaby(s). Work entirely remote and am home with my babies all day. I am entirely flexible to meet the needs of any client circumstance. How can I help? I have a fully fenced in backyard but am always outside with the pups playing. If it’s a rainy day, we have plenty of room inside for shenanigans.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
