About: I’ve always been the neighbor that pet sits all the animals on the block and been referred to places branching out. I work with animals for a living (farm animals). I’m just a huge animal lover no matter the type. I have my own dog that I take care of and she is my best friend. Hopefully I’ll become your pets! My weekends are for the most part free. During the week: Monday: I volunteer from 7am-12 and then I work in the afternoon around 2pm-6pm Tuesday: I work from 6am-1pm and for the most part my afternoon is free Wednesday: I work around 9am-12 and then 2pm-6pm Thursday: I work from 6am-1pm and work a couple hours in the afternoon Friday: I work from 6am-1pm and then around 3pm-6pm I have a fenced in yard. I live in a very pet friendly neighborhood that is great for walks with lots of sweet pups around.
About: My name is Emma and I have owned dogs for all of my life. My dogs have always been more like family to me rather than pets. I have never met a dog that I didn't like. I have a 7 year old jack Russell poodle mix named Daisy Mae and she loves other dogs! We love to go on walks around the neighborhood, gets lots of pats, treats and snuggling in bed. We also like to take car rides to pet smart and get toys. I have a 3 bedroom house and live alone, so there is tons of room for playing and laying. If you're looking for a sitter who will provide lots of love, care and belly rubs... I am your girl!
“Very professional, kind, and caring towards my sweet girl! I would absolutely use her services again and recommend her to anyone looking for a loving card giver for their fur baby!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Family, Friends, and neighbors have allowed me to take care of their pets and home while they have been away on vacation or while they are working for long periods of time. I am currently working part time at night so I will have plenty of time to care of your sweet babies while I am not at the hospital. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of space to run and play. I also have multiple large crates if needed or preferred. I have two very friendly dogs to keep your baby company.
“This was the first time we used a service and could not be happier with Jessica. She took her time to get to know our dogs and did a great job to make them feel loved while we were away. Will definitely use her again. Can recommend Jessica to anyone.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since the sixth grade. Neighbors, friends and family have trusted and relied on me to care for their pets. I’m currently in school until 12 every weekday. About: As a high school teacher, I’m dependable, patient, and calm under pressure. I’ve personally owned three dogs over the past 25 years, so I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I do not currently have pets in my home, which allows me to give focused attention and care to the dogs I work with. I also love being outdoors and enjoy walks, routines, updates, and helping pets feel comfortable and cared for. As a teacher, I’m very organized and consistent with routines. During the summer, I have a flexible schedule with plenty of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with pets. During the school year, I’m available in the afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I enjoy being active, outdoors, and dependable for both pets and their owners. I care for pets with patience, consistency, and lots of attention. With my own dogs over the years, I loved taking them on walks, riverwalks, lake outings, and other safe outdoor adventures. I enjoy keeping dogs active, comfortable, and cared for while also respecting each owner’s routines and instructions.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Gilbert stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gilbert choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Gilbert with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
