“Heather is hands down the best cat sitter we have ever had! She helped solve an unexpected ant problem while we were gone and has taken such good care of our cats each time!”

“Cynthia was absolutely fantastic! I have three senior cats, one on medication who is a very finicky eater. She was so thoughtful and followed all instructions perfectly. My cats are very social and she made sure to spend time playing with them so they didn’t price my absence too much. But it wasn’t just that. She also made sure my home was kept in order with keeping the litter boxes extra clean, washing the cat dishes after feedings and sweeping up the litter dust from my floors. She also left detailed notes on each visit. Traveling is stressful, coming home to well cared for pets and everything as you left it was a Godsend! I cannot recommend Cynthia enough and will definitely be booking her again!”

“This was the first time we used Rover for our cat Yoni! We had a wonderful experience boarding him for 9 days with Dana Marie. She sent daily picture updates and kept us informed how he adjusted. Dana Marie and her daughter treated him like their own, so Yoni was definitely a happy camper. No issues at all! We will use Dana Marie’s reliable and loving boarding service again for sure! Thank you so much, Dana Marie, for taking such wonderful care of our fur baby!”

“Vivian was great, great comms, flexible timings and everything was great when we were back. She even managed to make friends with one of our very shy cats. Thanks Vivian!”

“Sahara was an absolute delight and the kitties loved her. My cats are usually quite shy but after meeting Sahara for a few minutes they were attached! I got text and photo updates while I was away which made it so much easier. I have a few more trips planned and will be reaching out to Sahara again. I finally found someone I trust. If you are looking for a caring heart to take care of your fur babies I highly recommend Sahara.”

“Paula is amazing! She knew exactly how to approach our picky German shepherd and adjusted to his needs. She was very calm and comfortable with him. She became his best friend when she walked in with a pup cup in hand. So happy to have found someone reliable we can count on to take care of our fur baby when we go out of town. Thank you!!”

“Another great visit with Kassandra! The cats love her, she spends time to pet and play with them, in addition she goes above and beyond, vacuuming, cleaning up, taking out the trash, and any special requests. She is responsible and 100% trustworthy. So glad I found her on Rover! As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

“One year later, Barbara is united with her furry friends and a mysterious member of the family, whom was shy to see her when she visited. All went well and both boys are very happy to see her. Please consider Barbara's meticulous care and her superb reporting following every visit before choosing your next Pet Care Professional. Thank you Barbara.”

“Mary has been awesome with my high maintenance kitties. Both get daily medication and sometimes they can be difficult, but she is able to give it to them. Will definitely use again.”

“Samantha watched our 3 kitties while we were away. She was extremely professional in dealing with us, and super fun with the cats. She spent time playing with them, even trying to coax the shy one out to play/pet. We got tons of great pics every day with great communication. We would definitely recommend her and will hire her again the next time we leave town!”

About: I bring a teacher’s touch to caring for your pup! As a former elementary school teacher, I’ve got loads of experience in behavior management, patience, and creative problem-solving. Whether it’s helping a shy pet feel safe or channeling a high-energy pup’s zoomies into a fun game, I know how to keep things running smoothly (and joyfully!). I’m also a bit of a pet-training enthusiast. I’ve even taught my cats to use pet doors and hang out with me unleashed while I garden—basically, I’ve turned them into honorary dogs! They’re super social and cuddly because I believe every animal deserves love, enrichment, and positive interactions. I absolutely LOVE dogs, but we're currently at our max pet capacity. So, I pour my animal affection into my kitties and helping others by volunteering at the DuPage animal shelter, where I get to meet all kinds of amazing furry friends. I've also recently taken on raising and releasing monarchs in an effort to restore the dwindling population. Our garden is a designated Monarch Way Station. I've tagged and released hundreds of monarch butterflies over the last 3 summers. In short, I combine my teaching skills, training know-how, and pure love for animals to give pets—and their people—a fun, safe, and worry-free experience! I am an adjunct instructor. My classes don't reume until September 22nd, so right now, I am available every day. After that, I only will only teach two classes, so I'll have quite a flexible schedule to sit for animals with availability every afternoon and 3 full days a week. I am highly skilled at reading animal body language. The most important thing in keeping animals safe and calm is to determine how they're feeling in order to provide what they need--whether it's space, food, play or something more serious like medical attention. I make sure every animal has a corner of his/her own to take time needed privacy or R&R. I make sure animals in my care have plenty of opportunities to play, are stimulated, cuddled (if that's what they like), fed a healthy diet and feel like a part of the family.

About: I grew up in a family of animal lovers—cats, dogs, birds, even pet cows, turtles, chickens, hermit crabs, and more! Pets have always been family to us, and they were deeply loved and cared for. I’ve been caring for animals my whole life and still do occasional pet sitting. Now, I’m excited to offer my care through Rover! I’ll go any length to keep your pets happy—whether that means giving baths, going on long walks, or showering them with love and plenty of pets. I’d love to treat your pets like the family they are—because they deserve the very best. I’m a part-time college student who also works and babysits, so pet sitting is the perfect flexible gig for me! My schedule changes week to week, but I’m available for morning, afternoon, or evening visits most days, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. I can do drop-ins, walks, feedings, baths, playtime, and give your pets all the love and attention they deserve. Weekends and some overnights are also available with notice—just reach out, and I’ll do my best to fit your needs! When caring for your pet, I’ll treat them like one of my own—with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs. I’ll stick to their routine as closely as possible, whether that means feeding at specific times, going for walks, cleaning up after them, or just giving them extra cuddles and playtime. I make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. My goal is to give your pet not just care, but genuine companionship and kindness every visit.

“We had Lauren do a drop in visit for our two dogs. She came over the day before for a meet and greet and was asking a lot of great questions about their routines and behavior. She has a lot of experience with both dogs and cats so we felt very comfortable having her take care of our dogs. During the drop in visit she sent plenty of pictures and a detailed summary. We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Courtney was amazing. I was nervous to leave my kitties while we’re out of town for a few days, but she made us completely at ease with regular updates and photos. One of my cats is terrified of new people and recently underwent surgery that left her with almost no teeth. Courtney left some soft food under where she was hiding, which was so nice and appreciated! Will definitely book her again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of many dogs through dog sitting care as well as 3 1/2 years experience being a dog bathing professional at PetSmart inc. I am currently a college student with lots of extra time to care for your pets! I love being around pets and miss them in my pet free college housing. I am a quiet, calm person who can make your pets not feel stressed when I am in your home, offering them a calm and safe environment.

About: I am a high-energy individual who loves all types of dogs! Rover is my first "official" platform, but I have been pet-sitting and caring for dogs since I was young. As I got older, I gained more responsibility and more training with the family dog. I have had a lot of experience with adopted dogs, young and old, and promise to provide the best care while you are away. My parent's current dog that I care for often also has given me experience with regular medication/monitoring health concerns while also providing superior care. If your dog loves to play outside, go for a run, soak in the sun and play tug of war (but also sneak a nap in too), I am your pet-sitter! I am currently a fitness coach that works non-normal hours, so I can spend significant time with your furry baby! I can also stay long hours overnight if needed to keep your pet relaxed while you are away. Depending on the day, your pet could be alone for 3-6 hours a day with me. I will care for the pet's health concerns (including medication), make sure they have ample time outside (weather dependent) for potty time and exercise, and will care for their physical health if requested (ie brush coat or give bath). I will ask about how they interact with other dogs, people, animals so I can protect your pet and keep them safe.

About: I have been a Veterinary Technician for 5+ years, before becoming a Vet Tech I volunteered at shelters and did home care for 4 years. I am a certificate Dog trainer. I can administer medications, oral and injectable, give fluids, trim nails and clean wounds. I can bath your dog and brush them. These are only a few of my many skills. I'm very athletic , there for I can go for long walks and run with them. My passion has always been working with animals and giving the best care I can. I am willing to work with owners to accommodate any requests. I hope you find my information satisfying and I'm open to any questions you may have. At the moment this is my only line of work, what this means is that all my attention will be to your pets, having fun and playing outside. When is time for me to leave, I will check the area that you keep your pet to make sure is save, and give them some treats to keep them busy.
