From the moment Chloe and I had a meet and greet with Samantha, I could just tell she is a genuinely kind person. She took great care of Chloe while my husband and I were out for the evening. She sent me pictures and I could tell Chloe really likes her. We look forward to the next time that Samantha can dog sit for us!!!

About: What sets me apart from other dog caregivers is my genuine love for dogs and the experience I’ve gained from being a dog owner for many years. I currently own a beautiful pit bull that is 11 years old ,her name is Blue. Before my dog Blue, , I owned a miniature pinscher for 14 years who passed away from old age and being ill.I understand that every dog has its own personality, needs, and routines. I enjoy spending time with dogs, making them feel safe, loved, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. Especially knowing how important it is to me, when I am away, to know that my dog is cared for fed, and feels safe. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or simply companionship, I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and affection that I would give my own. I do currently work full-time. Although I work full-time, I am done work at 2:30, and off in the summer. My husband has recently passed away. I have a lot more time on my hands to give your pet a lot of love. I am done work early enough that I can get to an owner‘s house for a dinner feeding for your pet, letting your pet out if you have a fenced yard , if not a walk. Playtime for your pet companionship whatever the case may be my weekends are free and my summer . It is then that I could provide overnight stays. Having a dog myself, I would not provide any services at my home, however, I would gladly come to your house, carefully come in, call your dog’s name and provide whatever services you would like. Those services would include a 15 minute visit or a 30 min visit In a 15 minute visit: *Let dog out/ short walk * Fresh water/ feeding *Lots of attention/ affection 20.00 30 min drop in * Walk/yard time *Feeding / water refresh * playtime/ companionship *Poop cleanup * photo text update- 30.00

Thanks to Greg we were finally able to go away without our needy pets. We were able to relax because Greg did a great job of connecting with our pets and communicating with us. He followed all of our detailed instructions and cleaned up like he was never here. We hope to hire Greg again for more housesitting. His care is much appreciated.

About: I work from home so I’m able to provide care 24/7! In addition, I have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My family and I recently lost our doggie to kidney failure, so there is currently no animals of our own in the house. My time volunteering at animal shelters has given me valuable hands-on experience, especially with dogs that require extra patience and specialized care. I genuinely love spending time with these furry friends and prioritize their happiness, comfort, and safety above all else. Your pet will be treated with the same love and attention I would give my own! I am a recent graduate passionate about caring for pets and working to pay off my student loans. I ensure your pets receive the attention they deserve and provide frequent updates with plenty of pictures to keep you connected while you’re away! I prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort at all times. Before starting, I gather detailed information about your pet’s preferences, routines, and any special needs. In my home, I ensure all areas are secure and free from hazards while maintaining a comfortable environment for your pets. For walks, I use sturdy, well-fitted leashes and remain attentive to avoid potential risks. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free experience tailored to your pet’s unique needs.

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life and have always loved being around them. Whenever there’s a dog in the room they are the first I greet! 2022 was when I first started pet sitting for others and have since cared for multiple dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. I currently care for five different dogs regularly, including two that I watch together. Whenever there’s pet sitting, I stay in the owners home to keep their pets comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I make sure each dog gets plenty of love, attention, and playtime while their family is away. I also believe communication is extremely important, so I provide regular updates with photos and videos to help the owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away from their pets. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, safe, and happy until their owners return. I am currently a part-time college student, so I have a lot of time to be able to check on owners pets when needed. My schedule is pretty open besides Wednesdays, but depending on the situation I can sometimes check in on them on Wednesdays. When caring for pets in a clients home, I make it a priority to keep them on their normal routine so they feel comfort and secure while their owners are away. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding time, walks, medications, playtime, and any other special needs. Safety is a top priority of mine. I make sure doors, gates, and even leashes are secure, and I pay very close attention to every animals behavior and comfort level. I provide plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship while respecting the pet’s individual personality and needs. I also respect the owners privacy by keeping household information private and also respecting their homes. I also try to update the owners as much as possible by providing videos, photos, and messages so they can have a peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and comfortable. My goal is to create an stress-free environment for both the owners and the pets. I want the owners to be able to enjoy their trip and not be stressed, while their pets feel safe and comfortable with me.

Julia stayed with our pup for 9 days while we were away. He was so happy with her. We received pictures and updates unsolicited but also quickly if we asked how everything was going. Our dog was so relaxed (although very excited to see us) when we got home. Previously when he had come home from a kennel he'd be off for a good 48 hours. I'd happily book again.

About: I have been taking care of dogs for almost 10 years now. During that time I have gained experience with older dogs, diabetic dogs, puppies and everything in between. I currently own a rescue dog who I have been doing high level obedience with. We participate in dogs sport like rally obedience, fetch, fastCAT, barn hunt, lure coursing and most recently scent work. When I come to take care of your dog I will treat them as if they were my own with lots of love. I want to make you feel comfortable about leaving your dog knowing someone responsible is going to take care of them. I have a high energy dog. His care involves daily walks, and lots of training including scent work, learning new tricks or building up muscle and rear end awareness. My favorite activity is walking and training dogs. I will care for your dog with love and kindness. If you give my specifics of how you like your dog handled I am more than happy to follow that. I understand each dog is different and unique which means that I adjust accordingly.

Tori was absolutely amazing. She took the time to schedule a meet and greet so she could fully understand Aspen’s routine, which immediately showed how much she genuinely cares. From the start, it was clear that she was focused on making Aspen’s stay as comfortable and meaningful as possible. She truly went above and beyond—sending plenty of pictures and updates that gave me complete peace of mind. I honestly wish I had found Tori sooner because she completely turned around my experience with Rover. To top it all off, she went the extra mile in a way I didn’t think was possible and even got Aspen an Easter present. That level of thoughtfulness is rare. Tori is a world-class sitter, and I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Brittany is awesome! She watched my 16 month old German shepherd overnight and I’m amazed how comfortable I was with her. I recently moved here from another state so trusting someone, I don’t know, into my home is new to me, but I seriously couldn’t be happier having found someone as caring and responsible as Britney! She’s a pleasure to work with, and I know my GSD, Kash, is in good hands. He loves that she likes playing fetch and she gives him lots of attention :)

FAQs for House Sitting - Wenonah

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wenonah on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 5,406 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wenonah. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wenonah walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wenonah maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wenonah choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wenonah. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
