About: Hi pet parents. My name is Helen, I'm 42 and single with a 2 year old miniature pinscher. Chase attends Dogwood Acres daycare once a week and loves other dogs. He has a great time playing with his "cousin" who is a 50lb Ozzy Doodle. Chase loves to play, we go on 2-3 walks per day in our neighborhood. I also have a huge fully fenced backyard and a she shed to warm up in. I work from home a few days a week I walk my dog 2x per day. My dog is neutered and loves playing with other dogs. I have a fully wood fenced yard and an air conditioned “she shed” for dogs to hang out in. My home is dog friendly and full of dog toys.
About: I currently work at a veterinary hospital, where caring for animals is part of my daily routine. I have hands-on experience with feeding, administering basic care, monitoring behavior, and handling pets of all temperaments. I also have cats of my own, so I understand the importance of patience, comfort, and routine. I’m confident caring for both dogs and cats, including those that may need extra attention, and I always treat every pet like my own. I work Monday through Friday at a veterinary hospital, so I’m already actively caring for animals throughout the day. I’m available for pet care services in the evenings after work and fully available on weekends. My schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable care while still giving your pet plenty of attention and time. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With my experience in a veterinary setting, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress, illness, or unusual behavior. I take time to learn each pet’s routine and needs to make them feel as comfortable as possible. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment and follow all instructions closely.

“Ashley was fantastic! One of the best rover experiences we’ve had. She did everything we requested and more. It’s evident that she loves dogs and our dogs loved her too, even our fragile shelter pup who takes awhile to warm up. Both our pups were calm, energetic and happy when we got home, couldn’t have asked for more.”

“Anh was wonderful with our dog Wilbur- she sent us updates and was really sweet to him. She stayed over at our place which we appreciated because our pup can get a little anxious. Anh left us a very nice note and left the house very clean. We will definitely be reaching out to Anh again until the future for dog care!!”

“As always Haley did an amazing job communicating with us and taking great care of our pups. She sends pictures - is flexible with out travel schedules - manages their dietary & medication changes, Thanks Haley!”

“Dahlya was an incredible find for our wedding and honeymoon! She gave us great updates and pictures, and the house was spotless when we returned home. Our pets are so happy and cared for and we'll definitely look to book her in the future!”

“Bri is wonderful as always! She makes us feel so at ease when we travel. She takes amazing care of our pets and is very communicative. We will continue to always use her for a sitter when we travel.”

About: I’m 100% work-from-home, so your dog is never left alone or unattended. I have a flexible, non-taxing job that allows me to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day—from walks and playtime to cuddles and potty breaks. I’ve raised my own dog from 3 months old to now 2 years old, so I’m experienced with puppy care, routines, socialization, and positive reinforcement. I’m also patient and attentive, which makes me great with senior dogs or dogs that need a calm, loving environment. I truly love dogs and treat every one like my own. I pay close attention to their energy levels, comfort, and routines, and I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I already structure my day around my own dog’s routine, including morning walks, daytime play and enrichment, and evening wind-down time. Adding another dog is seamless, and I make sure each pet gets individual attention based on their needs, energy level, and schedule. Because I’m home all day, I can easily accommodate puppies, senior dogs, and pets that need extra supervision or frequent breaks. When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I live in a townhouse with a fully fenced backyard, which is perfect for safe outdoor play and frequent potty breaks and multiple walking trails throughout the neighborhood. Regardless of the location pets are always supervised and never left alone for long periods. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and rest. I also provide plenty of affection, enrichment, and one-on-one attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to respect their space and stick to their established routines. I provide reliable walks, feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions needed. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well-cared for, whether they’re in my home or theirs.

About: I've been around dogs since I was six years old, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up, I helped walk, feed, bathe, and care for dogs of all ages and personalities. I also have experience looking after pets when they're not feeling well, including cleaning up after digestive issues and providing extra patience and attention. I've cared for cats as well, including those with medical conditions, making sure they're comfortable, following care instructions, and giving them the love and attention they need. To me, pets have always been more than animals—they've been like family, almost like my own brothers and sisters. I enjoy spending time playing with them, keeping them active, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own It gives me the freedom to continue to focus and work in school. I can be around animals which I love and adore. I’m happy. In my home I try to make sure they can go outside as much as possible. The times when I’ve had pets it’s been very important to me to emulate an environment that is similar to what they would find in the wildlife. It’s important to me the pets feel free and happy. Have enough space to stretch out. That they can enjoy their lives as much as I am enjoying them.
“Alexis contacted me for a last minute booking and she was flexible in working out a schedule to care my Princess. She was there like we agreed on and she send messages and pictures for every visit She also contacted us when Princess didn’t want to take her medication. She will definitely be my sitter from now on”

“Chandler took wonderful care of our two dogs! She sent lots of pictures every day, made sure they were fed with the instructions we provided for our fussy dog, and didnt make any messes around the house. She is amazing! Would definitely book her again for any future trips!”

“I booked a 10 house-sitting stay with Mika and was overjoyed to see videos of my retriever mix so very happy and comfortable. I could tell my Mila loved the attention she got. My dog is 12yr old this coming July and I wanted someone with experience. Mika's vet assistant background was perfect as well as her history with rescues and special needs pets. My anxiety for such a long stay was quickly eased after the first photos and texts. Mika's upbeat attitude is refreshing. She's totally focused on Mila"s every need. I gladly recommend her. I will certainly book again. Deb”
“Uduak did an amazing job with our kids, Buck the big baby Bouvier and old lady Winnie our senior Cocker mix. They are usually slow to warm up to strangers, but they gravitated to her and anxiously waited by the door for her next visit. We'll be asking for again.”

“Oh Myles! He is the absolute sweetest! He took care of my babies this weekend and was more than accommodating. Our girl is Leary of newer people and barked and growled at him when he entered our home. He took his time and didn’t give up and they became best buds. He was very respectful of our home and focused on the dogs to make them feel comfortable the entire time. Myles is the ONLY sitter who will watch my dogs when we travel. Welcome to the family!!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wells Corner walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wells Corner maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wells Corner choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
