Anh was wonderful with our dog Wilbur- she sent us updates and was really sweet to him. She stayed over at our place which we appreciated because our pup can get a little anxious. Anh left us a very nice note and left the house very clean. We will definitely be reaching out to Anh again until the future for dog care!!

About: I have always grown up with pets since I was able to walk. Dogs are my favorite thing in life!! I recently had to send my dog to heaven and haven’t been quite ever to get over it. I still have his toy and often pet sit for family and friends to try and fill the void. This will give me just that!! I currently do brand ambassador work so I creat my own schedule, which is great. My availability is very flexible. I’m here if you need me!! I have a fenced in yard for small potty breaks but I enjoy going on walks!! Being out in the fresh air getting exercise is always best.

About: Hi! I'm Erin, and I'd love the opportunity to care for your furry family member. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I make it a priority to provide personalized care that helps them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'm happy to accommodate what makes them happiest. I'll treat your pet with the same patience, attention, and affection that I give my own. I'm reliable, communicative, and committed to giving you peace of mind. You can expect regular photo and video updates, prompt communication, and plenty of love and attention for your pet every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged best friend! Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As a dog owner, I'm used to planning my day around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention and exercise. I work with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable care, stay consistent with your pet's routine, and give them the time and attention they deserve. Whether it's an early morning walk, a midday drop-in, or evening companionship, I'm happy to accommodate your pet's needs while keeping you updated with photos and messages along the way. I always prioritize keeping pets comfortable by following the routine they're used to. Before each booking, I like to learn about their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, medications (if applicable), and any special instructions or behaviors to be aware of. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the home itself. I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and lots of affection while keeping your home clean and secure. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment where they can relax, play, and feel like part of the family. I ensure they have regular potty breaks, walks, meals, and plenty of love and supervision throughout their stay. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and cared for, while giving pet parents confidence that their furry family member is in good hands.

About: I have been an animal lover as long as I’ve been alive. For 15 years I have been responsible for caring for a variety of animals but mainly Dogs and Cats. I have experience taking care of animals with a variety of medical issues. I understand the importance of consistency when it comes to caring for a pet in general but especially when they have health concerns. Comfortable around all breeds and sizes. Knowledgeable in leash training, potty training, and crate training. Just like people all animals have their own unique personality. Excited to care for your best friend like they were my own! I do occasionally work on the weekends so there could be 7-8 hour periods between me being with your pet. Would let you know my work schedule if that overlap with care. If no fenced in yard at residence will keep dog on a leash at all times outside the home. I am respectful of peoples homes since that is your safe space. My yard is fenced at my residence so if you wanted your pet to stay with me they would need to be comfortable around 2 fosters cats and children.

Ashley was fantastic! One of the best rover experiences we’ve had. She did everything we requested and more. It’s evident that she loves dogs and our dogs loved her too, even our fragile shelter pup who takes awhile to warm up. Both our pups were calm, energetic and happy when we got home, couldn’t have asked for more.

Ada was amazing!! This was my first time using the App and she made me feel so comfortable. She agreed to a meet and greet prior to my house sitting dates and my dogs loved her instantly. She was very communicative and kept me informed on everything. As this was my first time leaving my babies with anyone outside of family, we were all a bit nervous and hoping this was a good match. My mom even checked in with Ada and she was totally cool with. My mom and dog both have dogs and we are pretty certain Ada has 3 new clients. Ada maintained my home wonderfully. She really was patient with and understanding and I would recommend her 10/10, especially for new clients.

About: I have been a lover of all animals for as far back as I can remember and have taken care of them both personally and professionally. I have been employed by zoos and aquariums, worked with tigers, made diets for birds of prey, and assisted Marine Biologists with shark tanks and coral reefs. My training has not just been in educating the public, but in positive reinforcements. Everything from dogs, cats, snakes, hedgehogs, frogs, and so many more have been in my care over the course of my life for one reason or another. I am my friends' go-to for anything they've ever been curious about when it comes to our natural world. And being a dog mom of two myself has been one of the most rewarding privileges I've been able to experience. Pet care for me is 24/7 for my own babies, but I am available Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and some Wednesdays for any and all services. My pupperonies have been crate trained by me, but for the most part free roam. They have designated areas for when the hoomans are out of the house where they are allowed to nap and play with their toys or each other. Both have been socialized and are respectful of the other dog in the home. Both dogs get 3 walks per day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening to ensure they are exercised as well as some off leash play in the yard. For clients, I am attentive to each animals’ needs and respectful of owner requests. It is important for me to get to know your fluffybutt as much as possible in order to provide optimal care.

I can’t say enough good things about Sabrina! From the moment we met, it was clear our dogs were in loving and capable hands. She went over and beyond in every possible way—sending regular updates, photos, and even taking extra time to make sure the house was spotless when we returned. Our pups were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for (they might have been a little disappointed to see us come home!). It’s such a relief to find someone so trustworthy and genuinely caring. We came back to a tidy home, extra tlc to our home and wagging tails. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pets and your home as if they were their own, I can’t recommend Sabrina highly enough. We’ll definitely be booking again!

I can’t say enough good things about Corraly! She’s been an absolute lifesaver for me and Cloud. From day one, they showed so much care, patience, and a genuine love for dogs that I felt completely at ease leaving my pup in her hands. Cloud always comes back happy, well-exercised, and honestly a little extra spoiled. She goes above and beyond to make sure my dog’s routine is followed, and they send me the cutest updates and photos, which truly puts my mind at ease.

FAQs for House Sitting - Kettering

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Kettering on Rover is $31.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 10,814 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kettering. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kettering walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kettering maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kettering choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kettering. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
