Anh was amazing with Pico. She jumped in last minute and handled everything so thoughtfully - including some unexpected tummy issues and his occasional puppy chaos. She kept me fully updated the whole time and sent lots of great photos, which I really appreciated. It made such a difference being able to see how he was doing. Pico is used to being with me all the time, so social interaction is really important for him. Anh adjusted to Pico’s needs and routine and also made him part of hers - giving him so much extra love and attention. You can’t always guarantee that level of care when you’re away, and I’m so grateful I never had to worry. I would absolutely recommend Anh to anyone without hesitation!

About: I've owned senior dogs through end-of-life care, including daily medication and mobility support, and understand the patience senior dogs need to feel safe. I also enjoy active playtime with younger, playful dogs. I'm comfortable with house-trained routines across a variety of breeds and sizes. I work remotely Monday through Friday running my own business, which gives me the flexibility to accommodate your schedule and your pet’s needs. As long as I have Wi-Fi, I can work from your home, allowing me to be present throughout the day. I provide potty breaks every 2–4 hours and can adjust the timing to fit your pet’s feeding, medication, or daily routine. I take safety seriously in your home - checking fencing, gates, and potential escape routes, and staying alert to pets who are talented at getting into things or slipping out unnoticed. I've cared for a mischievous, escape-prone dog myself, so I don't underestimate what a determined pet can get into. I follow your instructions on whether a pet can be left alone and for how long, along with feeding, medication, and any other safety concerns. Your home stays secure while you're away, and your pet stays in a familiar, low-stress environment with consistent care.

Nicole stayed at our place to watch our cat for almost two weeks and did a fantastic job! She was responsive and checked in regularly, and we came home to a happy cat. Our cat is very social and needs a lot of interaction and playtime, and it gave us peace of mind knowing Nicole was looking after him. Plus she took great care of our house and kept our plants alive. We’ll happily call on her again to take care of our cat when we’re out of town!

Chandler is truly one of a kind, and I cannot recommend her enough. Leaving your puppy with someone else can be nerve-wracking, but from the moment I connected with her, I knew my pup was in the best hands possible. She went above and beyond in every way, constant updates, adorable pictures, and clear communication that gave me complete peace of mind. It wasn’t just “watching” my puppy… she genuinely cared for and loved him like he was her own. You can tell she has a natural connection with animals, and my puppy absolutely adored her. When I came back, my pup was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of, which says everything. Chandler is reliable, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. If you’re looking for someone you can trust completely, she’s it. I would give her 10 stars if I could!

Absolutely Amazing! Highly recommend. Very patient with our stressed German Shepard mix, she really took the time to work with him and was able to to balance his personality and needy behaviors along with our cat and her personality. Can’t say enough how I appreciate her help. Lucky to have found her.

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their pets. During the summer it was all I did. I’m currently unemployed so I want to have as much fun as I can with pets before I go back to school and work. Well I don’t care for pets in my home but eventually when I have my own space I would absolutely adore sharing my space with everyone’s pets.

About: We live in Colombia, South America for the school year and return home to the US during the summer and other school holidays to attend summer camp and visit friends and family. We are able to housesit small and medium dogs for one family at at time. We do not offer boarding services at this time but invite our boarding families to book us for housesitting. _____________________ With over 175 bookings in just two years and many repeat families, we’re proud to have earned Rover Star Sitter status—a reflection of our consistent care, reliability, and the trust our clients place in us. We specialize in small to medium-sized dogs, especially those with special needs due to age or temperament. Our experience spans the full spectrum of dog care—from energetic puppies to beloved senior companions. My journey as a dedicated dog caregiver began with my own Pomeranian, Chewy, who was part of our family for over 12 years. Through every stage of his life—puppy training, routine vet visits, managing health issues like dental care and kennel cough, and eventually learning the nuances of senior care—I gained invaluable hands-on experience. I understand how to provide attentive, compassionate care while maintaining structure and safety. Beyond my personal experience, I’m deeply attuned to dogs’ moods and behaviors, always alert to changes that might signal discomfort or illness. I also understand what pet parents look for, having used doggy daycare, boarding, and dog parks extensively myself. My daughter Layla, who grew up alongside Chewy, shares this same love and intuition for dogs. She’s a gentle, responsible helper with a natural ability to make dogs feel safe and loved. Together, we’ve cared for many neighborhood pets, and thanks to Rover, we’ve extended that care to families across our community. Layla likes to say our “superpower is love”—and that really sums it up. We offer your pups a safe, affectionate home away from home, where they’ll be treated like family every single day. We’re available for housesitting at and time but we do prefer earlier/daytime arrivals as it allows your pup/s to get acclimated while they are awake and alert. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give our doggie guests plenty of attention and regular outdoor breaks, around Layla's activities. My daughter goes to school or camp during the day, but she enjoys walking and playing with our dog clients before and after school/camp, always under my supervision. Together, we make sure your pup feels loved, engaged, and part of our family routine. I also provide daily photo and message updates, so you always know how your pet is doing. We walk your pup/s on a leash at all times unless we have access to an enclosed yard. Generally, we prefer to crate overnight especially if this is your first time using Rover for dog sitting, but we can adapt as needed. Your pup will spend most of their day outside of their crate but perhaps, contained in a part of the house (e,g, watching tv in the sitting room or hanging in the kitchen while we prepare meals). We will try our best to incorporate their usual routine and preferences whenever possible. For puppies, we prefer to crate/contain in confined area.

I can’t say enough good things about Corraly! She’s been an absolute lifesaver for me and Cloud. From day one, they showed so much care, patience, and a genuine love for dogs that I felt completely at ease leaving my pup in her hands. Cloud always comes back happy, well-exercised, and honestly a little extra spoiled. She goes above and beyond to make sure my dog’s routine is followed, and they send me the cutest updates and photos, which truly puts my mind at ease.

About: My next door neighbor had me take care of their dog, Brownie. He was an old man, but still a good boy! I would make drop-in visits to make sure he was fed and given his medicine which he did such a good job with taking it around me, and I would also take him outside for bathroom breaks. Milo was another dog I took care of recently, and unlike Brownie, she was young, and also loud just like any other husky, but similar to Brownie, she was good girl. This time she had to live with me at my house, but she was no problem at all. I would take her outside at least two hours a day and give her walks around my neighborhood. I would also let her sleep on my bed and she'd wake me up by licking my face every morning to start the day. Feeding her wasn't a problem either. In fact, taking so much time out of my day to take care of just any other dog is never a problem for me! My recent pet care was for a Siberian Husky named Milo. After taking care of her cats, my sister asked me to take care of Milo for a friend who was away last December. Milo was a big dog, but she wasn't anything I had trouble handling. She was a fun and good girl, and I made sure she was taken outside every two hours of every day and also made sure she was given food and water and would refill both when I see that they're almost empty. Pet care comes first for me and I would take plenty of time out of my day to give pets the love and attention they need while family is away. I have a yard but it isn't fenced. However, I will be outside with your dog if they ever need to go, and keep an eye and/or leash on them if necessary. I did the same for my own dog, Macy. Unfortunately, my home doesn't have any other dogs that yours could socialize with since Macy passed away, but with me around, your baby should never feel alone! If I were to take care of your pet at your home (and if necessary), I could also tidy up the inside of your house to the point where I was never even there once you have come back from your trip.

About: I have been a lover of all animals for as far back as I can remember and have taken care of them both personally and professionally. I have been employed by zoos and aquariums, worked with tigers, made diets for birds of prey, and assisted Marine Biologists with shark tanks and coral reefs. My training has not just been in educating the public, but in positive reinforcements. Everything from dogs, cats, snakes, hedgehogs, frogs, and so many more have been in my care over the course of my life for one reason or another. I am my friends' go-to for anything they've ever been curious about when it comes to our natural world. And being a dog mom of two myself has been one of the most rewarding privileges I've been able to experience. Pet care for me is 24/7 for my own babies, but I am available Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and some Wednesdays for any and all services. My pupperonies have been crate trained by me, but for the most part free roam. They have designated areas for when the hoomans are out of the house where they are allowed to nap and play with their toys or each other. Both have been socialized and are respectful of the other dog in the home. Both dogs get 3 walks per day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening to ensure they are exercised as well as some off leash play in the yard. For clients, I am attentive to each animals’ needs and respectful of owner requests. It is important for me to get to know your fluffybutt as much as possible in order to provide optimal care.

Corraly did a FANTASTIC job caring for our sweet boy Prince and home while away for a week long vacation celebrating our 1st year marriage anniversary, and we could not have been more pleased with her services. This was our first time working with Corraly and she made a quick bond with Prince that clearly grew during the days they spent together. She texted daily updates and included lovely photos of their time spent together in our home and during long walks and was super responsive throughout her stay. We (including Prince) 100000% highly recommend Corraly and look forward to her future dogsitting stay 🤎 🖤

FAQs for House Sitting - Largo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Largo on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 10,792 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Largo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Largo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Largo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Largo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Largo. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
