“Rita is my go-to cat person— this is the second time I have had a health emergency and she has taken care of my three cats in my absence. She cares about them and goes the extra mile to reassure me about the cats. She provides pictures and communication that lets me know my cats are in good hands. And she’s just agreed to another week— I’ve unexpectedly been delayed. Thanks Rita— I’m lucky to have found Rita and Rover.com.”

About: I’m a dog dad of 3, I’ve grown up around all animals. I love my children and I want to be able to help people take care of theirs if they need it. Sometimes I like to bring my wife along to help, if you’re not okay with this please let me know and I’ll make sure it’s only me. I’m currently going to online school which leaves me with a lot of extra time for extra work such as Rover. Outside of taking care of my own babies. I am able to do stop in visits to take care of your fur babies for either a walk, to let them out, or to give them company for some time if they need it.

“Gacenta did an excellent job. She worked with us when the power went out and our dogs were alone in the house while we were away. She changed her schedule to come back after the locksmith opened the door.”

About: I love every animal no matter their age or size! I work incredibly well with bigger dogs such as Pit-bulls, Dobermans, and German Shepherds. “Great help, Anh really helped put my mind at ease while I was away, and helping with the dogs was a big deal. She was very attentive and reliable on time and had attention to detail. I will definitely use her services again. Highly recommend”

“I am so happy to have met Bria through Rover!!! She did an excellent job taking care of my dog Kane while I was on a five-day work trip. Bria is communicative and so pleasant! She kept me updated and never failed to send me photos/videos which made my time away so much more bearable - I knew he was in good hands! Also, I returned to a happy dog in a clean room! They seem to have gotten along really well and I will definitely be using her again in the future. Thanks Bria/Rover!!!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12. Last year I adopted my own cat named Butters. I’m currently in school at Howard U, getting my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. I’m currently working part time, but I still have plenty of time on my hands. I’m mostly available Monday-Wednesday, with some exceptions depending on timing. My cat Butters gets fed 2-3 meals a day depending how hungry he is. 2 meals his urinary tract food and 1 meal Fancy Feast with extra water. On days I work I usually play with him (he likes toys with strings) after work or before in the morning.
“Talayia! First let me again say Thank You! Now if your reading this and you a pet parent like I am who is just absolutely sick about having to leave you pet, yet alone have a stranger stay/drop in to care for them THEN U MUST BOOK TALAYIA! She was able to accommodate my day of request and even came for a meet and greet prior to our departure. Talayia was so thoughtful and caring of our dog Sadie that there is absolutely no way I will ever not want to use her as our sitter! She followed every guideline I left and went above and beyond to ensure that not only was our pet safe but that Sadie was emotionally safe (she suffers from Separation Anxiety)before leaving. Seriously- Talayia- you have exceeded my expectations and I am so so thankful you were able to watch Sadie for us.”

About: PUP CUP trips, Jeep rides (top down on nice days 🐾), and lots of one-on-one attention, your dog will have a fun, safe, and loving experience with me! All dogs are safely secured with seatbelts during any car rides for extra safety and peace of mind. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have extensive hands-on experience, especially with doodles, BUT I truly welcome and love all breeds. I’ve raised multiple litters of mini goldendoodle puppies, so I’m very comfortable with everything from young, high-energy pups to dogs that need a more structured routine. Because of that experience, I’m especially good with: - Puppies (potty training, routines, patience) - High-energy dogs that need engagement and play - Reading dog behavior and helping them feel comfortable quickly What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give. I keep my bookings limited so each dog gets plenty of interaction, playtime, and a calm, safe environment—not just supervision. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you’ll always know your pet is happy and in good hands. I treat every dog like they’re my own, so you can feel completely comfortable while you’re away. I’m a college student with a pretty flexible schedule, and I’m currently available for boarding, daycare, and walks. I’ll work around my class schedule to make things as easy and consistent as possible for you and your pet. For the summer, I’ll be fully available with an even more open schedule. The only dates I’ll be unavailable are June 23 – July 5. Feel free to message me with any questions or specific scheduling needs—I’m happy to work with you! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my TOP priorities!! I provide a calm, clean, and supervised home environment where dogs are never left unattended for long periods and always have access to fresh water, potty breaks, and a consistent routine. I keep my bookings limited so each dog gets plenty of attention and care, and I take time to understand your pet’s personality, habits, and any specific instructions you have. Whether your dog is energetic or more laid-back, I adjust to what makes them feel most comfortable. I also require meet & greets beforehand so both you and your pet can feel comfortable and confident before booking. For any outings or car rides (like walks or optional pup cup trips 🐾), dogs are always securely fastened with a seatbelt for extra safety. I’m very respectful when caring for pets in a client’s home as well—keeping everything clean, secure, and following your pet’s routine closely so they feel at ease in their own space. You’ll also receive regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for at all times.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kettering. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
