“Chelsea was a pleasure to have as a sitter. I had a mixup with booking and she was so flexible and adjusted her schedule to accommodate me. She is very responsive and followed instructions. My cat loved her. Will book again!”

“Naomi was amazing again for our three girls and helped me out with a couple of asks around the house I had forgotten about before we left like plugging in our furbo and turning off our sprinkler. She’s phenomenal!”

“Nicole was able to take care of these two on a last minute whim and we are so happy she was available! They got all the love and cuddles 🥰 Will be using her in the future!”

“Great sitter who took good care of my kitties and always made sure their area was clean!! Communicated well and always double checked things with me!! Thanks so much!!”

“Our meet and greet with Amber went perfectly. They knew just what to do to put our nervous dog at ease And clearly have great judgement and experience. We're looking forward to working with Amber in the future.”

“Rita is my go-to cat person— this is the second time I have had a health emergency and she has taken care of my three cats in my absence. She cares about them and goes the extra mile to reassure me about the cats. She provides pictures and communication that lets me know my cats are in good hands. And she’s just agreed to another week— I’ve unexpectedly been delayed. Thanks Rita— I’m lucky to have found Rita and Rover.com.”

“Linda was great. She followed the laundry list of instructions I left, and let me know if she had any questions. She made an effort to win over my 3cats…and two accepted her quickly. Unfortunately, my anxious cat didn’t buy it, LOL. Hoping that next time, he will remember hard and come out of hiding.”

“Bessie was absolutely amazing with our fur babies! She communicated so well and made us feel super comfortable leaving our animals in her care. Would 100% book again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their pets. During the summer it was all I did. I’m currently unemployed so I want to have as much fun as I can with pets before I go back to school and work. Well I don’t care for pets in my home but eventually when I have my own space I would absolutely adore sharing my space with everyone’s pets.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for years, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who just want a little extra love and patience. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just quiet companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and understood. I’m reliable, flexible, and always treat your pet like family because that’s exactly how I’d want mine treated. What makes me different is my calm, caring energy and attention to detail. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, routines, and comfort zones whether they need active play, gentle handling, or medication reminders. I have experience with crate training, leash walking, and helping anxious or shy pets feel at ease. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your pet feels at home. As an educator, structure and consistency are a big part of my daily life and that carries over into how I care for pets. My schedule allows me to dedicate time before and after work, as well as weekends, to make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I approach pet care the same way I approach teaching: with patience, understanding, and a genuine love for helping others (whether they walk on two legs or four!). Caring for animals brings balance to my week and gives me joy it’s my way to unwind while doing something meaningful. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my main goal is to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I take time to learn each pet’s routine from feeding times and walks to their favorite toys or chill spots , so I can keep things as normal and stress-free as possible. In my home, pets have a calm, clean space with plenty of attention, outdoor breaks, and playtime. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same respect I give my own. I keep things tidy, follow your instructions closely, and make sure your pet feels at home while you’re away. It’s all about trust you trusting me with your pet, and your pet trusting me to care for them like family.
About: Experience raising both a dog and a cat, along with volunteering at shot clinics, I have worked at a pet store, and I currently work with dogs daily at a doggy daycare. I’m skilled in handling pets of all ages, from ensuring they get the care and attention they deserve. I am available for pet care for dogs & cats on Monday through Friday 9am-9pm. Experienced, reliable, loving care including walks, playtime, feeding, updates, and photos! I provide care by visiting your home, ensuring your pets are comfortable in their own environment. I follow your routines, feeding schedules, and any special instructions to keep your pets happy and stress free.
“Sandra took such great care of both our very large dogs and cat for ten days. Very detailed with her notes and consistent with pictures. They had long walks, play time , food bowl refresh and cuddle time. Couldn’t be more pleased for the love care and attention she provided to my fur babies.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 3 years, with hands on experience in daily care and routines. What sets me apart is my focus on each dog’s well being and happiness I’m attentive, patient, and treat every dog like my own to ensure they feel safe and comfortable. Pet care fits well into my routine. I work part-time and am a student, but I’m available after 3:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, all day Wednesday and Friday, and also on Sundays. I provide a safe, comfortable, and attentive environment for every pet. I live in a three story home with plenty of space to roam, along with a fenced backyard for secure outdoor time. I’m also near a dog park for additional exercise and enrichment. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize supervision, routine, and making sure each pet feels safe and cared for.
“Gacenta did an excellent job. She worked with us when the power went out and our dogs were alone in the house while we were away. She changed her schedule to come back after the locksmith opened the door.”

“Goldie Loves Milanni! Milanni is someone I can count on for drop-ins or boarding when I’m traveling around the world. I appreciate how easy it is to communicate with her and she confidently takes care of business without any worry. Goldie appreciates Milanni being part of her caregiving community when I am away. I recommend Milanni for your pet and caregiving needs.”

“Pepper has enjoyed her stays with Nasheia and Nina so much that we have made it a weekly thing. With other sitters I would drop pepper off and she would run back to me to pick her up and not want to leave. As soon as Pepper saw Nina she forgot all about me. She comes home happy and tired from all her playing.”

“Gina is amazing! She goes above and beyond. She made being away on travel worry free. She thought of things I hadn't and took care of them. She is caring, thoughtful, and loving to my cat. . I'm so greatful I connected with her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kettering. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
