“Sandra took such great care of both our very large dogs and cat for ten days. Very detailed with her notes and consistent with pictures. They had long walks, play time , food bowl refresh and cuddle time. Couldn’t be more pleased for the love care and attention she provided to my fur babies.”

“This was the 3rd time TeQuilla has looked in on our feline boys while we were out of town. Each and every time we leave knowing they are in good hands, and we are so grateful for her care. There is no one else we would ask to check in on them. The boys love her too. Thank you, TeQuilla. 🙏”

“Naomi was amazing again for our three girls and helped me out with a couple of asks around the house I had forgotten about before we left like plugging in our furbo and turning off our sprinkler. She’s phenomenal!”

“Great sitter who took good care of my kitties and always made sure their area was clean!! Communicated well and always double checked things with me!! Thanks so much!!”

“Sarah went above and beyond the call of duty. She not only fed my cats and ferals with care, but also checked on the Rumba robot, straightened the cameras, and even watered the plants. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness were exceptional. I highly recommend her.”

“Vanessa was wonderful :]. She cared for my two cats while I was away for a few days. She was very accommodating prior to officially booking. And sent a couple of photos and updates as well. Thank you for the good care.”

“Amy was absolutely amazing!!! Although I pretended to be fine I was very anxious about leaving my Luna home to go on vacation. It’s my first trip since I got her. Amy made me feel so comfortable while away and out all my fears at ease. She checked on as asked. Provided me with pics and a video during every drop in. She also kept me informed of any unexpected mishaps that occurred. Hands down I would definitely have Amy look after Luna again”

About: I’m a dog dad of 3, I’ve grown up around all animals. I love my children and I want to be able to help people take care of theirs if they need it. Sometimes I like to bring my wife along to help, if you’re not okay with this please let me know and I’ll make sure it’s only me. I’m currently going to online school which leaves me with a lot of extra time for extra work such as Rover. Outside of taking care of my own babies. I am able to do stop in visits to take care of your fur babies for either a walk, to let them out, or to give them company for some time if they need it.

I understand that every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and needs. I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and loving care while keeping pet parents updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I am especially comfortable with energetic dogs and know how to channel their energy into fun, productive activities that build confidence, reinforce good behavior, and strengthen important life skills. Whether your dog loves playing fetch, practicing basic commands, exploring new walking routes, or simply getting extra attention and companionship, I strive to make every visit enjoyable and enriching. I am free every day from Monday to Sunday from 11 AM until 1AM. I have a very flexible and free schedule . No dog is too much work for me. I can handle it all 😌. About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Friends, family, neighbors, and pet owners have trusted me to care for their pets as if they were my own. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what helps them feel safe, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic medications, reinforcing routines, or simply providing companionship, I am attentive, patient, and dependable. I know how important communication is when you’re away from your pet, so I provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins for peace of mind. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. I work remote, so I’m often home throughout the day and can accommodate pets who need companionship, regular walks, medication, feeding schedules, or frequent potty breaks. I enjoy maintaining pets’ routines and providing updates so owners can travel with peace of mind. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any household guidelines provided by pet parents. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, communication, and making sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while their owners are away.
“My cat needs to be around people daily. Luckily for me, Amber was available to check in on Momo while I was on vacation. Momo immediately warmed up to her on our first meeting. She was very friendly and gave lots of pets and treats, and played with Momo while I was out. I will definitely will rebook with Amber in the future.”

About: Hello! I'm a huge animal lover, who works from home. I have had pets since I was a child and love getting to spend my days with them. I currently have a 3 year old dog named Benny, who loves to run, play, and nap. Benny loves company as my ten year old cat, Boo, is sweet but tends to keep to herself. Im home with my 2 year old daughter who also loves animals. If your fur babies are human baby, and cat friendly, we would love to meet them! I have time to be attentive, play, and cuddle them up while you are gone. I have a large fenced in yard great for fetch and running. If you approve your pups can access the yard as they please through a doggie door. When the weather is nice I can provide a doggie pool and little jumping courses. I love my animals deeply, and I know what it is like to intrust them to someone else. I send texts and pictures and you can text as much as you need. There is no such thing as too many instructions. They are your babies and I want you to feel comfortable knowing your cherished family members are safe and happy. I'm here all day. I usually do one activity away from the home per day like a park, for just an hour, but other than that I’m home and can play as much or little as they like I do a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure your pup feels comfortable and enjoys being around my daughter, dog and cat.
“Goldie Loves Milanni! Milanni is someone I can count on for drop-ins or boarding when I’m traveling around the world. I appreciate how easy it is to communicate with her and she confidently takes care of business without any worry. Goldie appreciates Milanni being part of her caregiving community when I am away. I recommend Milanni for your pet and caregiving needs.”

About: I’m a college student and dog lover with hands on experience caring for my own dog, Sasha. Taking care of her has taught me the importance of daily exercise, patience, consistency, and paying attention to a dog’s needs. I’m reliable, active, and committed to making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for during walks and visits. I’ll treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own. I have a flexible schedule over the summer and am available most weekdays and some weekends for dog walking and pet care. I’m able to do morning, afternoon, and early evening walks depending on the day. I’m reliable and will always stick to scheduled times, and I can be flexible with advance notice for recurring walks or one time bookings. I prioritize safety, trust, and following each owner’s instructions carefully. I make sure pets are secure on walks, stay aware of surroundings, and are comfortable at all times. I treat every pet with patience and care, and I provide updates so owners know their dog is safe and doing well.
“Rita is absolutely amazing. We've had some trouble in the past with Charlie the escape artist, but Rita gently kept him inside despite his protestations. Maggie our shy baby even came out of her shell for pets. As if that wasn't already enough, Rita also took the time to care of our local ferals who hang out on our porch. I cannot express enough how valuable we are for this peace of mind, while on tour.”

“Another great job by Alexandra!!! This is our 3rd or 4th booking and we will definitely book again! She takes great care of our senior kitty. She gives her pills like a pro (because she is a pro!). Book Alexandra with confidence!”

Rita is an absolutely amazing cat sitter! She takes such wonderful care of my two kitties, Bear and Mimi, and always treats them like they’re her own. She empties their litter box daily, makes sure all of their needs are met, and gives them so much love, attention, and affection while I’m away.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
