Anh was wonderful with our dog Wilbur- she sent us updates and was really sweet to him. She stayed over at our place which we appreciated because our pup can get a little anxious. Anh left us a very nice note and left the house very clean. We will definitely be reaching out to Anh again until the future for dog care!!

About: Hi pet parents. My name is Helen, I'm 42 and single with a 2 year old miniature pinscher. Chase attends Dogwood Acres daycare once a week and loves other dogs. He has a great time playing with his "cousin" who is a 50lb Ozzy Doodle. Chase loves to play, we go on 2-3 walks per day in our neighborhood. I also have a huge fully fenced backyard and a she shed to warm up in. I work from home a few days a week I walk my dog 2x per day. My dog is neutered and loves playing with other dogs. I have a fully wood fenced yard and an air conditioned “she shed” for dogs to hang out in. My home is dog friendly and full of dog toys.

About: I’ve been a huge animal lover my entire life! I grew up with a family dog for 14 years, and for the last 2 years, I've been a cat parent to my own kitty, so I understand both dog and cat personalities. I’ve been the sitter for my friends and family whenever they go out of town. Plus, giving back to animals is super important to me; I've been volunteering at animal shelters since high school and still do today. Whether your fur baby needs lots of playtime, long walks, or just some cozy cuddles, I'll treat your baby like my own! My work gives me flexibility throughout the week. From Monday-Friday, I normally work in the office from 12-6pm. So, I am available for early morning and late morning walks before I leave, and I am back in time for dinner and evening care. My weekends are pretty open, so I have plenty of time for extended visits and walks. I follow all the rules and instructions you give me for both your house and your pet's care. Whether your pet has a specific feeding schedule, strict house boundaries, or a precise medication routine, I will make sure everything is done exactly the way you want it. Your home and your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities while you are away

About: Hi! I'm a college student home for the summer with a flexible schedule and a genuine love for dogs. I provide a safe, comfortable, and attentive environment where your pet can feel at home while you're away! I have dog sat for family, friends, and even neighbors for a little over 4 years now! I’ve always wanted a pet myself but never had a chance to so I disperse my love and affection for all pets! I understand that every pet has different needs between playtime, walks, needing a specific schedule. I will make sure that whatever the need may be, I will follow it as closely as possible so that they can feel as comfortable as possible. I believe that communication is very important so I will always provide updates, pictures, and etc so that you can have peace of mind at all times! My goal is to make sure both you and your pet have a positive, stress-free experience. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I currently work with the government on a schedule where I choose the days and times that I work! Shifts are not available everyday so in the free time that I have, I love to pet sit! Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a calm, supervised environment and make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I will follow your instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special needs. There are no other pets in my home and no children present! Pets can be crated if needed and they are not often left alone (if cannot be left alone at all then your pet will not be left alone!).

Great. Alyia stayed for 8 nights and was very responsible in taking care of my dog as well the few house items (watering plants, trash, etc). I received daily pictures .My dog 'bonded' with her because he would curl up against her on the couch and Alyia took him on frequent walks, which he loves. The house was very clean when I returned.

About: I currently work at a veterinary hospital, where caring for animals is part of my daily routine. I have hands-on experience with feeding, administering basic care, monitoring behavior, and handling pets of all temperaments. I also have cats of my own, so I understand the importance of patience, comfort, and routine. I’m confident caring for both dogs and cats, including those that may need extra attention, and I always treat every pet like my own. I work Monday through Friday at a veterinary hospital, so I’m already actively caring for animals throughout the day. I’m available for pet care services in the evenings after work and fully available on weekends. My schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable care while still giving your pet plenty of attention and time. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With my experience in a veterinary setting, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress, illness, or unusual behavior. I take time to learn each pet’s routine and needs to make them feel as comfortable as possible. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment and follow all instructions closely.

About: Hi! My first gift as a baby was a white german shepherd named Pepper that I grew up with and I've been a dog owner ever since. Friends even brought me a stray found on campus at GWU, Wiggles. He was our house mascot. And I've owned and cared for dogs ever since. I started rescuing dogs in 2010 in Oakland. I found forever homes for 13 dogs. Your dog will be safe, made comfortable and well cared for by me. I'm happy to care for senior dogs or puppies and anyone in between. I am attentive. Responsive to them and focused to obey your instructions concerning your fur baby. I want them to be happy while you're away and I want you to be comfortable while they're in my care. Most of all, if anything happens, I know how to respond quickly. My 12yo Weimaraner Gideon passed away during the pandemic. I've been fostering. This just seems like another way for me to play with and care for a new dog until I get another one. I look forward to meeting you and your pet. I'm a professional writer and program developer so my schedule is flexible which makes caring for your dog and its needs really easy. I am able to maintain whatever schedule you've established at home. Your pet will have full run of the house and will be encouraged to make themselves at home. Their crate and food/water will be set up in places where they can be seen and made comfortable.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and understand that every pet has their own personality, needs, and routine. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am dependable, attentive, and committed to providing updates and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. My schedule offers flexibility throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I will always communicate my availability clearly and make sure your pet receives consistent care, attention, and companionship during each visit. I enjoy incorporating walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and plenty of affection into every pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special instructions provided by their owner. I am attentive during walks, mindful of environmental hazards, and committed to maintaining a calm and positive experience for every pet. I will also provide updates and photos so you can feel connected while you’re away. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any specific care requests. I understand that being away from home can be stressful for pets, so I focus on creating a calm environment filled with attention, supervision, and affection.

Jill took such wonderful care of our dog and bird while we were away for the weekend. Our dog has allergies and needs a watchful eye, and our bird has a big personality and can be quite the handful at times. But Jill handled all with ease and care. It was such peace of mind to know she was there with them. Will absolutely rebook when we are out of town and need coverage for the animals.

FAQs for House Sitting - Queen Anne Estates

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Queen Anne Estates on Rover is $27.82 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 10,413 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Queen Anne Estates. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Queen Anne Estates walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Queen Anne Estates maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Queen Anne Estates choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Queen Anne Estates. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
