Jessica has been wonderful! I needed help on short notice for my energetic Staffy/Lab mix while I worked overnight shifts, and she exceeded my expectations. She was great with my dog from the very first meet and greet, and clearly has experience handling larger, high-energy dogs. She provided a full 30 minute walk, updates with photos, notes about the visit, and even tracked potty breaks and checked her water. Knowing my dog was getting exercise and attention in the middle of my 12 hour shift made a huge difference and greatly reduced my stress. Jessica has been reliable, professional, communicative, and caring. My dog absolutely loves her, and I feel completely comfortable having her care for my pet. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog walker!

Kathryn is def up for the challenge with our dog. Lexus does not like a lot of people but Kathryn has made the cut. Good feedback on the walk. And she can work the house alarm system. 👍👍👍

Rachel was excellent with our senior dog (Bentley). She took on the assignment at the very last minute due to our original Walker coming down with an illness. Ulthough a last minute request, Rachel came over the night before to make sure she met Bentley and to introduce herself to us. We explained our walking and feeding processes to her, and she was very accepting to the routine. While we were on our trip, Rachel sent us numerous pictures of Bentley either at home or on his walk. She kept us well updated on his activities. Unfortunately, while we were gone, he did have some accidents in the house, and Rachel cleaned them up and took care of making sure that everything was disposed to properly and that the rags used to clean up the mess were washed. Wonderful customer service. We would not hesitate to use Rachel again, as well as recommend her to any of our friends.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and my experience as a former dog owner. I’m patient, attentive, and enjoy learning each pet’s individual personality and needs. I’m also interested in animal behavior and care, so I see pet sitting as an opportunity to continue learning while giving pets the same love and attention I would give my own. As a full-time college student, pet care fits into my routine by allowing me to care for pets around my class schedule. I plan ahead to make sure I can dedicate enough time and attention to each pet I care for. When you leave your pet in my care, I want you to feel confident knowing they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own, while respecting their routine, personality, and individual needs. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect, keeping things clean and making sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. My goal is to give both you and your pet peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I had a golden growing up for 15 years and now have a dog of my own! I love going on long walks with dogs who need it, playing fetch, and giving lots of scritches and love! No dog is too small or too big for me. Happy to accommodate anything your pet needs! I’m currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I work in VA and living MD so I’m really all over the map. I would prefer any time after 3 but can also come in the mornings with enough heads up. I do not have a fenced in back yard but do have a nice trail to walk on and get some energy out. I also have a lead in the backyard to keep the dogs safe and not escape if they would like to roam freely. My coonhound has been just fine with the set up! I also have a crate if preferred. My dog is friendly with others and loves other dogs!

About: I have more than 20 years of experience caring for dogs. I previously had two show dogs who were my babies, and now Storm is just as spoiled and loved. To me, our four-legged babies are no different from our children. Bryce and I are both dog lovers, and we understand how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. We will make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while they are with us. We can help with walks, feeding, bathroom breaks, playtime, and keeping them on their regular schedule. Every dog has their own personality, so we will take the time to learn what makes your dog comfortable. We will follow your instructions, send pictures and updates, and treat your baby like one of our own. We also offer dog waste cleanup for your yard because sometimes dooty calls! Whether you need a one-time cleanup or regular help keeping your yard clean, we are happy to take care of the dirty work so you do not have to. I work from home and have plenty of time to care for your baby. I live a healthy, active lifestyle and enjoy taking regular walks, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and love. My schedule is flexible for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding. Your dog’s safety and comfort will always come first. I will follow your feeding schedule, walking routine, medications, and any special instructions you provide. Dogs will stay on a leash outside and will not be left unattended. I will introduce them to my furbaby slowly, supervise their time together, and give them their own space when needed. You will also receive regular pictures and updates so you know how your baby is doing.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Queen Anne Estates. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
