About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats since before I completed my undergraduate degree in Animal Science, taking part in rescue organizations and volunteering as a foster. I also have 2 dogs (7 and 4 y/o) that I raised since they were puppies. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats. If your pets have any special needs, let me know and we can discuss! I'm currently finishing up a PhD in animal science at MSU, so I have a somewhat flexible schedule that can be adjusted based on your needs. About: My name is Alexis I am a 21 year old animal lover. I worked at the humane society of Huron valley and have for about 1 year previously and previously worked at a boarding facility for cats and dogs.My current job is a vet receptionist/ vet assistant at VCA of Hamburg. I have experience with just about every kind of animal that you could keep as a pet. I have experience feeding them, cleaning their kennels/cages, medicating the dogs (we do not medicate the cats where I work), walking them and some small bits of clicker/leash training as well. I would love to care for your fur baby! My availability is I am free the full day on Tuesdays and Sundays otherwise it would be around my work schedule . Every other day of the week it would have to be after I get off of work, typically I am off between the 6pm-7pm range. It is my full time job to take care of animals, it is something I have always had a passion for and I was lucky enough to make a career out of it. I would not be able to provide boarding as I live in a small apartment with 2 cats who are not fond of dogs. In your home though I am willing to pretty much do whatever you would like, I’m comfortable crating animals, walking them, cleaning up after them….etc

I lost my senior yorkie at the start of this year. However, she was very pampered and cared for. Our daily routine is consistent and I monitor her health closely as well as give her plenty of attention and play time. She’s very attached to her home and her family, and very protective, so it’s important that she has lots of love. She’s a cuddler and goes for the mouth with kisses. Her stomach is very sensitive and she has a strict diet. She’s a great companion, however, and a great bugler alarm system as she barks at everything that moves. I understand greatly, the importance of a dog’s preferences and quirks. Nothing your dog could need is ridiculous to me at all. Your home will be greatly respected, and your pets will be my priority. I will keep your pet on their proper schedule and ensure that they don’t get lonely while you’re away! You would set the feeding schedule and I would take them on walks or let them outside accordingly. Of course we will have plenty of playtimes and I will do my best to limit any messes.

He is 8 years old and has lived the best life by going on puppy play dates, doggy day care, and many trips camping with us.
