“Dexter always has a great time with Mandy and her family! He gets lots of love and hangs right with them. Mandy has always been helpful when we needed anything!!”

“This was our first time using a pet sitter, and Caroline was wonderful. She is very kind and clearly loves dogs. We really appreciated the updates and felt comfortable throughout the stay. If we need a sitter again, we know we can trust her!”

“Susan made me feel very comfortable leaving Cora with her. You can tell she is a true animal lover! She sent updates and pictures and Cora was well looked after. We’ll use her again!”

“Kimberly was very informative from the moment she met Rylee. I appreciate how she sent updates throughout my week long trips. The photos she sent often put me at ease. Kimberly was very patient with Rylee as well. Thank you again for taking care of her!”

“Jackie is very sweet and kind. She took wonderful care of Luna for 10 days while we were away. She was very responsive to messages and sent pictures to show us how Luna was doing. I'll definitely call on Jackie again in the future.”

“Tracey gave great directions to her home and what to bring with Lukie for his first stay with her. She seemed competent and confident and I liked that she was laid back when we arrived, so therefore Lukie mirrored her energy and settled right in. She sent us a picture every day and responded to my comments. We recommend Tracey highly and will use her again . Thank you, Rover!”

“Excellent! Highly recommended -- This is the second time Michelle has watched Polly for us, and is incredible, excellent communication and takes amazing care of Polly. A++++”

“I found Brooke on Rover and choose her because of the reviews. This was our first time with a pet sitter and we were so very pleased! We're confident that our one year old mini golden-doodle received all the love, attention and play time she wanted for the three nights/days she stayed! Thanks Brooke for making this such an excellent experience! The next time we need pet care, you'll be first on the list.”

“Another wonderful stay for Henry! So good we were worried he wouldn’t want to come home! 😂. Karen is living, spoils him, and sends us at least a picture a day! We are so lucky to have found her! Thank you Karen!”

“Rosemary always seems to have a great time and comes back happy. Chris is friendly and easy to work with - really happy to have a place we can count on to board Rose and know she's in great hands. Thank you!”

“I highly recommend Victoria and Rishi. My dog is 15 years old and needs some extra care. A few days before our trip, he went to the vet for a routine check. The vet called us later when we were out of town and said that our dog had a urinary tract infection and needed an antibiotic. Victoria was happy to go get his medicine from our vet and start giving it to him while we were gone without missing a beat. He came home relaxed, well rested, and happy. We will definitely use them again.”
“Brooklyn is super sweet and was very communicative which I really appreciate! I’ve never used Rover or any other site to find someone to watch my baby (my elderly cat) so I was pretty anxious, but Brooklyn was great and I will definitely be booking her again if I need someone to watch my baby!”

“If you want to treat your dog for the spa / vacation while you are gone , do not look any other place ! They are so amazing and lovely . Zoe is also a sweetheart 😍My dog fell in love with both of them instantly! I can not explain how wonderful and lovely they both are . Will definitely bring my dog back”

About: Caring for pets has been an integral and rewarding part of my life, yielding a robust skillset perfectly suited for in-home animal care. My comprehensive experience, which includes fostering over 20 dogs and working directly at an animal rescue, has equipped me with exceptional proficiency in behavioral observation, managing specialized routines, and quickly establishing trust with animals in a new or private setting. My expertise spans various temperaments and breeds, from high-energy puppies requiring consistent training and socialization to elderly cats needing patient, gentle handling and comfort. I am highly comfortable providing detailed, individualized care. I pride myself on my ability to quickly understand an animal's non-verbal cues and maintain their sense of routine and security within the comfort of their own home, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being remains the absolute top priority while providing clear, professional communication to their owners. My current commitments and demands provide me an ideal schedule that will allow for me to focus on providing quality in-home care care to your furry family members. My goal is to provide a worry-free experience for you while you are away. Daily Updates: I send regular updates (usually after each key visit) via text or a preferred app. These updates include photos and/or videos so you can see your pet happy and healthy. Detailed Log: I maintain a log noting the time of feeding, walks, potty breaks (and noting any unusual stools), and medication given. This ensures consistency for multi-day bookings and provides a record for the owner. Immediate Notification: In the unlikely event of any noticeable change in behavior, appetite, or health, I contact the owner immediately, following the pre-arranged emergency protocol. In short, I treat your pets and your home with the passion, consistency, and respect I would give my own family

About: I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, and that hands-on experience is what I bring to every walk. I understand dog body language, pacing, leash manners, and how to read when a dog needs a break or a bit more activity — not from a course, but from years of actually living with dogs day to day. I treat every walk the same way I would for my own dog: attentive, on time, and focused entirely on their safety and comfort for the full duration. Whether your dog is high-energy, a little nervous around new people, or just needs a steady routine, I adjust to what they need rather than running a one-size-fits-all walk. You can expect clear communication before and after every visit, so you always know exactly how things went. My schedule is flexible throughout the day, so dog walking isn't squeezed into a narrow window — it's a real part of my daily routine. That means I can offer consistent mid-morning, afternoon, or early evening walks, and I'm also able to accommodate last-minute requests or changes in timing without it being a scramble. If your schedule shifts week to week, I can usually adjust to match it. Safety is the first thing I think about with every walk. When I arrive, I double-check that all doors and gates are secure before I bring your dog out, and I make sure the leash and collar or harness are properly fitted before we leave — no slipping out mid-walk. I stick to routes I know well, avoid off-leash areas unless specifically asked, and keep a close eye on other dogs, traffic, and anything that could startle or spook your dog. I always carry water on hot days and adjust the pace or length of the walk based on weather and how your dog is doing that day. Before I leave, I make sure your home is exactly as I found it — doors locked, lights as they were, nothing out of place. If anything ever comes up during a walk, you'll hear from me right away, not after the fact.
“Kimberly did a great job. She was prompt and kept me well informed on how my babies were doing, including photos. I would highly recommend her services and I would definitely schedule her again.”

“Kimberly was super flexible and great with our 7 month old pup, Maggie! She communicated well with us ahead of time and made the whole process smooth as we were navigating Rover for the first time. About: Beyond living with pets every day of my life and my family owns a boarding kennel, I've cared for others' pets in many capacities as an adult. I've boarded dogs in my home, and I've looked after many cats, dogs and birds in their own homes: on both a long-term basis and single drop-in visits as needed. I've also cared for snakes, guinea pigs, fish, rats, chickens, horses, cows, and many exotic animals! I can nearly always accommodate drop-in visits, even around the holidays! I am also Cat and Dog First Aid Certified and taken several veterinary classes. When walking dogs I take all steps to ensure safety, I make sure all collar and leash clips are secure, as well as any harness you may use. I currently work from home so I have lots of time to spend with your pet and give them the attention they need. I am available on weekdays and weekends. We live on 10 acres and the property is all fenced with additional large play ares. I also have 2 standard poodles. I am a certified groomer. “I am very pleased with the care and affection that Murphy, my pal, experienced at Amanda’s home. Murph had the best time, and I felt assured that all was well with him. This was a good experience.”

“We are the first timer as we are new to this place with no reference. We took a decision to go with Dustin and Sarah with our gut feeling and it turned out to be such an amazing experience. They are extremely welcoming and treated my pet like their own family member. I will be definitely recommending them as a great people to take care of your pet.”

About: I have a very dog and cat friendly place to call home. Most days I am outside working around the property and the dogs are out with us. I’ve raised our dogs from 8 weeks old and the Labs are obedience trained and have taken their Canine Good Citizen class to hopefully be Therapy dogs soon. Our Pug is the youngest and raised by the Labs and of course, me. In the evenings it’s relax in the chair time. The dogs love to snuggle up and just nap after playing outside. I make my own work schedule and am able to fit work around pets. Usually only leaving the dogs for an errand run here and there. I go outside with all dogs and walk them on the property. I feed 2 times a day plus a snack or whatever is necessary for any visiting pet along with fresh water at all times. All pets have free range of the house day and night unless otherwise requested. I have an outdoor kennel for nice days if they need to be outside for a little while.
“We took our two dogs to Alice for a day trip - we were headed to Lake Michigan, and wanted to be sure the dogs were well cared-for. Alice was very cordial and her instructions clear. The dogs seem happy and content, and I couldn't believe the report on the dogs I received by email! It was a wonderful thing to see that they were doing well. Nice touch! No doubt a lot of work for Alice, but it is appreciated. We'll definitely book with Alice again. Happy dogs are very important to us.”

“Beanie loves Kenzie! She is super reliable and on time even when it’s been days with crappy weather. Plus, she always gets the cutest, derpiest photo of Beanie for the walk card which makes me smile when I see it after their walk!”

I’m a fast learner and very dependable so if your pets need any special treatments you could just let me know and show me how you approach it and I will do the same! My late St. Bernard was on heart medication so I know how to trick even the stubbornest dogs to take their pills or eat if they’re old and don’t have much of an appetite as they used to. I have recently moved to the Howell area and live in an apartment, however my complex is super dog friendly and my apartment has a big (unfenced) yard behind it (would have to keep your dogs leashed if they’re boarded here) with many trails! I’m looking forward to hearing from you and taking care of your furry friends 😊🐾 My schedule is very open for the summer, since I’m on summer break before I begin student teaching in late August. I’m available Monday-Friday, as well as some weekends! I frequently dog sit for my friends and family, with most of my experience being with dogs between a year-fourteen years old, and same goes for cats. When I enter someone’s home I make sure to never approach their pets and let them approach me (because I know it can be nerve-wracking for them to meet a new person at times). I usually let dogs out every hour or more if needed and enjoy going for walks with them or playing fetch or any other games to keep them entertained. I follow the instructions given by the parents of our fluffy friends very closely, feed times, medicine times, treat times, etc. If I need to I usually set reminders so I have a backup reminder if needed. Along with caring for their pets I also clean up after them, litter boxes, toys, their outside duties, and whatever the pet parent instructs. I currently just moved to the Howell area and have not gotten a pet of my own yet, however I can pet sit your pets at my apartment if they’re potty trained, or can take care of them at your house as well!
“Madelyn is great with Dolce my Newfie. She comes a few times a week. Always sends pictures and feel assured my pup is getting great care when I work long shifts. Highly recommend.”

“She has been amazing with Charlie! There was one day Charlie was choking a bit, and she reached out to let me know right away. She shows up every scheduled day on time! I know Charlie loves his walks with her.”

About: In our home every dog is a priority to us. We schedule activities around their needs and energy levels. We love to play outside, go for walks around our neighborhood and snuggle before bed. Our puppy is very high energy and loves to make new friends. The dogs will be in a safe environment, with a fenced yard, and will be given a bed time snack! We allow animals on all furniture within our home and in our bed to sleep at night, we also have a pallet dog bed available in our room. We are available most nights and weekends and are willing to keep your pup for an extended period of time. We would love schedule a day to meet you and your dog soon!
