About: Experienced caring for dogs of all sizes, along with house cats, rodents and reptiles. Particular experience with medium and large size dogs who are anxious/reactive. Rates lowered while I establish myself on Rover. I work from home, so your dog will get a lot of attention when I care for them (and they'll probably get a nickname or two). Walks, bathroom breaks, visits to the dog park, and lots of pets and ear scratches all fit into my daily and weekly schedule with ease. I am willing to book outside of my typical radius for an increased fee to offset mileage, gas costs, and time. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs in particular, so am used to reading what a dog needs and wants with a close eye. I take care to make sure that a dog is comfortable with me, that I respect their boundaries, that I respond to their needs, and that we remove ourselves from any situation that might upset or overwhelm them. I often ask a pet owner for details about their dog's usual routine, any particular habits they have, their behavior on leash, and what gives them comfort. This helps me better respond to what the dog is sharing about their needs.

About: I have been helping care for dogs both personally and as a friend since middle school. I began walking my own dog for an allowance in elementary school and loved it so I began to walk dogs for neighbors and family friends in middle school. Since then I have continued to work with dogs helping friends and family complete basic training (Sit, Stay, Lay, Leave it) and continued to learn more about dog behavior, activity needs by breed and body language. When walking your dog you can expect a minimum of a 1 mile walk/at least 20 minutes of actual walking time (or less if requested due to animal's health and abilities). I will ensure your dog is able to take in the sights and smells along the way and is engaged mentally to get some energy out. I work from home and am pretty flexible around my workday meetings. I have regularly scheduled reoccurring meetings from 9-930 on Mondays and Wednesdays but am flexible otherwise. When caring for your pet in your home you are the boss. I will follow any rules, routines or boundaries expressed by you and agreed to by me. Additionally, I will be respectful of your pet and your space. This means monitoring and respecting their behaviors and body language, keeping a clean space in your home, cleaning any mess made by feeding your animal, and cleaning accidents they may have had if provided the needed tools and supplies. When walking your dog you can expect a minimum of a 1 mile walk/at least 20 minutes of actual walking time (or less if requested due to animal's health and abilities). “Donna took such good care of my 4-month old puppy and even sent photos to show me he was happy and having fun! This was my first time using Rover and I’m so grateful to Donna for making this a great experience. I highly recommend her.”

About: I have experience caring for pets, having grown up with them, and I am available with a flexible schedule throughout the summer months. I would be happy to assist if needed. I am currently a teacher on summer break and have availability to assist with dog walking, provide daytime or evening companionship for pets, and house sit if needed! I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—whether it's going for walks, playing fetch, or simply offering affection and companionship. My priority is always to ensure pets feel happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: Hi, I'm Meghan! I grew up on a farm, so knowing the responsibility of caring for animals is of great importance to me. I grew up with dachshunds and German Shepherds, so I have experience in caring for both big and small dog breeds. I really love animals, so much so that I almost became a vet. By caring for others' animals, it allows me to get in touch with my passion for furry friends! I have also had a nearly blind dog, who I'd have to prescribe eye drops to, and a dachshund whose back legs no longer worked, so I do have experience in working with animals with disabilities as well. I look forward to assisting you with your furry friends! I work full-time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but I work remotely on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays and am usually able to step away to take your furry friend for a walk or just to check in. I'm usually very flexible to others needs. Growing up with dogs definitely instilled a lot of responsibility for me. I always ensure that the animals were fed in the mornings and evenings, and got their mid-day treat. I would help bathe them if they got dirty, and brush them when their coats get a little out of control. I would also take them for daily walks, or just throw the ball around to them. I will also always supply snuggles!

About: I'm currently in a pet-free home with my kiddos and have lived with dogs for much of my adult life. I'm a massage therapist and love giving pups a little TLC with energy therapy and light massage. They love it! The dog you see in my photo is KC. She was a rescue dog who was with us for six years and needed lots of training, support and care. Please note I take 3 walking clients per day but only 1 boarder at a time. I'm a grad student at UW and have a flexible summer schedule! I have a few other income streams but I set my own working hours. I offer long walks, treats, water, lots of play and unlimited petting! I offer care in my home and dog walking. Looking forward to meeting your pup!

Meghan O.
“There are few people I have met who care about and love animals as much as Meghan. She is experienced in many different pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and even some farm animals! Meghan helped us when we got our new puppy by spending time with the puppy while I worked. Our dog still loves when Meghan comes over and we joke that our dog must have imprinted on Meghan in those early weeks. Meghan is very punctual and very responsive. There are few people I’ve met who care for animals with the same love and dedication as Meghan. She has experience with a wide range of pets—including dogs, cats, rabbits, and even some farm animals. When Meghan is with animals, they seem to naturally gravitate toward her. When we brought home our new puppy, Meghan was a lifesaver. She spent time with her while I was at work, giving her the love, attention, and care she needed during those early weeks. To this day, our dog lights up when she walks through the door. We always joke that she must have imprinted on Meghan! Meghan is punctual, reliable, and responsive, which will give you so much peace of mind while you are away from your pet. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and experienced to care for their pets.”

Anna T.Star Sitter
“Anna is a fun loving person who is a natural with pets! She is amazing at training and caring for animals (all kinds!). My high energy Border/Healer is sometimes too smart for his own good :) Anna is excellent at meeting his needs and keeping him happy and entertained while making sure he minds his manners. I can also attest to Anna's abilities with slower, calmer pets since she took very good care of our old dog: lots of attention and TLC. She's cat crazy too and loves talking about her fur baby, Bongo :) I would highly recommend her services!”

Wei W.
“Wei is a very kind, lovely person. He is a dog and cat lover. He has a Shiba Inu named Meta. He is a very responsible person and he always takes a good care of Meta. You can see how Meta loves him. While he plays with Meta a lot, he always wants Meta to meet and play with other dog friends. That’s why he signed up as a host on Rover so that he can not only help others with their pet caring but also find Meta some good friends!”

Jaren U.

“We would schedule with Jaren again. Flexible and helpful.”

Joshara A.
“I’m extremely pleased with the care my dog received from Joshara. She is incredibly patient, communicative, and attentive to every detail. Her dedication and genuine love for animals make her someone I can fully trust. Knowing my dog was in such capable and compassionate hands gave me great peace of mind. I truly appreciate her commitment to providing excellent care.”

“Matt is reliable, kind, easy going and great with pets! I highly recommend he and his wife for your dog walking and occasional overnight care.”
