“Our Great Dane loves Ben. He has had great communication with us during all of his walks and has made sure that Bruno has “done his business” in the mornings. He is our favorite walker”
“Heather is so good at communicating with me, she always watches for anything unusual in Josie’s routine and makes sure to notify me. She’s been very flexible and extremely reliable. As an anxious dog mom, I am so at ease knowing she is taking care of Josie. And Josie is always happy after her walk days with Heather!”

“Lensy is so wonderful! She’s consistently communicative and sends such fun photos. Absolutely incredible to have her care for Petey & shows above and beyond consideration for both my pets :) Look forward to having her walk again!”

About: I have had pet care experience with a neighbor for four years now. And I have also helped own a dog for 8 years. With my neighbor I do pet sitting/drop in visits, dog walking, and cat care. With my own dog, I have had him since he was a puppy, and he is my best friend. I have had experience living with him, walking him, feeding him, and bathing and grooming him as well. I would do anything for my dog, and I will transfer that love to all animals I meet. I am a college student and my plan is to do this during my winter break between semesters. Since I will not have school during this time, my schedule is very free and flexible. I am doing this to have something to look forward to every day during break. So I am very open on a daily basis to accommodate to your schedule. My plan is to do services that are in my clients home because my dog right now doesn't always work well with others. So when I am in my clients home I will treat all people, items, and pets with the utmost respect and kindness. I will care for your pets on drop-in visits and on walks like they are my own.
“We were worried about anyone walking our 3 Siberian huskies while on vacation. They can be a handful when pulling, but she did great! Our dogs absolutely loved her. Will definitely hire again:)”

About: As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your fur babies. I currently have my sweet girl Nova at home and am comfortable with pets of different temperaments and needs. I strive to create a safe, stress free experience while keeping owners updated with lots of photos and messages. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, medication, or just a consistent routine, I’ll make sure they receive attentive care. I’m currently a SAHM with a very flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable care and accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the day. Your pets are treated like family! I have 1 cat in my home currently that is okay with dogs that visit. I maintain a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment and carefully supervise interactions at all times.
About: With years of experience in pet care, I go beyond just watching your dog - I create a personalized, fun, and safe environment tailored to your pet’s unique needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or cuddles, I offer a loving, attentive approach that ensures your dog feels right at home. Pet care is a natural part of my daily lifestyle. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m responsible for, making sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and affection. For dogs, I build in time each morning, afternoon, and evening for walks, play, potty breaks, feeding, and enrichment. I’m active, reliable, and intentional about keeping them on their normal routine so they feel secure and cared for. For cats, I schedule dedicated visits for feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and calm companionship. I’m patient with shy or independent cats and love giving extra enrichment to the social ones. I also create time for medication or special-care needs if required. I’m very routine-oriented, so adding pet care into my week fits naturally. Whether it’s multiple check-ins a day or longer stays, I make sure each visit is consistent, on time, and focused fully on your pet’s well-being. I create a safe space whether it be at my course or my client’s house by making sure they feel secure while also establishing a routine and sticking with what is familiar to them.

About: Dogs are my favorite people - I attract dogs wherever I go. I have owned two dogs in my adult life-English Bulldog and Goldendoodle. Currently, I have a 10 year old goldendoodle. She loves everyone. I am a teacher and have off during the summer. I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, running, reading, gardening, and cooking. I’m currently on summer break, so my days are very flexible. During the school year, I am available before 7am or after 4pm. I have a very friendly goldendoodle. I have a big yard. I am willing to provide lots of love, playtime, and walks for your dog. I can be active with your pet or sit with them and love them up. Whatever you need, I can provide.
About: Hi my name is Yee Lam but everyone calls me Suki. I grew up with dogs and am a dog lover. I had a beloved toy poodle named Seven for 15 years, who was truly the best dog and a cherished member of our family. I’m a full-time mom, and when my son (9) and daughter (7) are in school, I have plenty of free time to care for pets—playing with them, feeding them, and giving them all the attention they need. My kids love dogs too, and I think this is a wonderful way for them to learn the joys and responsibilities of having a puppy. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays after 9 a.m. We have a spacious yard for safe outdoor play, and our neighborhood is calm, family-friendly, and right next to a school, with no major roads nearby, so you can feel at ease knowing your dog will be safe on our walks.
“Overall a great person. Very easy to work with, easy to reach, fast reaponses, punctual... Took care of our dogs by giving them walks while we were on vacation. The pups loved Allison. Thank you for everything!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
