“Allison has been walking our dog Mila for almost a year now and we could not be happier with the services she provides. She does an amazing job with our very energetic pup, who absolutely loves it when she comes over to take her for a walk. Allison is incredibly professional and very easy to get in touch with. Each walk she gives me a detailed update on how things are going and anything that may have happened on the walk. If I had the option of giving her 10 stars I absolutely would!”

“Lexi is very punctual and easy to work with. She takes great care of our pup and went above and beyond with extra requests today to get him some water and put him in his crate when they got back from their walk. Thank you, Lexi!”

“Heather is so good at communicating with me, she always watches for anything unusual in Josie’s routine and makes sure to notify me. She’s been very flexible and extremely reliable. As an anxious dog mom, I am so at ease knowing she is taking care of Josie. And Josie is always happy after her walk days with Heather!”

About: I have had experience watching dogs since I was 12. My neighbors often have me walk their dogs when they are unable, and about a year ago I started watching my family and friend’s dogs when they are out of town. I currently work part-time and I don’t have school during the summer so I am free most week days. I am also available on various weekends depending on my other job’s schedule. I create a safe environment in client’s homes by ensuring the dog has nothing dangerous within reach. Keeping a clean and safe space helps the both the dog and owner feel more at ease.

I have a large, in fenced backyard and I am close to the park and walking trails. I also love to go hiking and would like to able to take dogs with too.

About: I am a huge dog lover. I love all kinds of dogs and have grown up with all different kinds of dogs of varying size and temperment. My family has had 2 havanese dogs and 2 newfoundlands so I have experience with a variety of sizes. Recently, I lost my soul dog, Max. Max was a shepherd mix and was my whole world. My husband and I had Max since he was a puppy and are looking to get our dog fix by helping out others. We understand the stress finding care for your dog can create, and we would love to help provide a safe and fun environment for your dog when you need it. We have a large yard (unfenced) and safe neighborhood for walks. We also have 2 children, aged 5 and 3. I am a stay at home mom, so I am available most of the time from home any given week. I have 2 children, aged 5 and 3, and they would love to help care for and love on a doggy. I have a large, unfenced yard in a quiet, safe, and dog friendly neighborhood. Our dog Max was always free to run around the yard without any issues. Dogs are allowed inside, on our furniture and I still have Max’s dog bed for use as well. I am also happy to pop in by your house to walk your dog if that’s needed.
About: I'm currently in a pet-free home with my kiddos and have lived with dogs for much of my adult life. I'm a massage therapist and love giving pups a little TLC with energy therapy and light massage. They love it! The dog you see in my thumbnail photo is KC. She was a rescue dog who was with us for six years and needed lots of training, support and care. Please note I take 3 walking clients per day but only 1 boarder at a time. I teach at a technical college and am a personal trainer, working part-time from home and part-time out of the home. I'm often home for long hours during the day. My three kids are in public school, so dogs may have 1 to 4 dog-lovers in the home after 4pm. I offer long walks on sidewalks or trails if preferred, treats, water, lots of play and unlimited petting! I offer care in my home and dog walking. Pets are allowed on my furniture if that's what they're used to. Looking forward to meeting your pup!
About: Hi my name is Yee Lam but everyone calls me Suki. I grew up with dogs and am a dog lover. I had a beloved toy poodle named Seven for 15 years, who was truly the best dog and a cherished member of our family. I’m a full-time mom, and when my son (9) and daughter (7) are in school, I have plenty of free time to care for pets—playing with them, feeding them, and giving them all the attention they need. My kids love dogs too, and I think this is a wonderful way for them to learn the joys and responsibilities of having a puppy. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays after 9 a.m. We have a spacious yard for safe outdoor play, and our neighborhood is calm, family-friendly, and right next to a school, with no major roads nearby, so you can feel at ease knowing your dog will be safe on our walks.

Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or cuddles, I offer a loving, attentive approach that ensures your dog feels right at home. Pet care is a natural part of my daily lifestyle. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m responsible for, making sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and affection. For dogs, I build in time each morning, afternoon, and evening for walks, play, potty breaks, feeding, and enrichment. I’m active, reliable, and intentional about keeping them on their normal routine so they feel secure and cared for. I’m patient with shy or independent cats and love giving extra enrichment to the social ones. I also create time for medication or special-care needs if required. I create a safe space whether it be at my course or my client’s house by making sure they feel secure while also establishing a routine and sticking with what is familiar to them.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
