For over 14 years, I have worked hands-on in rescue shelter environments, giving me deep experience with dogs of every size, age, and background—from tiny toy breeds to gentle giants. My time in rescue has taught me patience, intuition, and deep compassion. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with extremely fearful dogs, including those rescued from puppy mills who had never known human touch or seen the light of day. The accessibility that Emily had with my apartment was great with Captain being at home and feeling like he was home and loved. About: Lifelong (35 years) dog lover and owner of a golden retriever. I begged my parents growing up to get our family a dog...luckily after all of my persistence, my mom and dad finally gave in. My family got two dogs within a few weeks of one another, a Chocolate Lab and a Brittany. Both had a lot of energy and were very loving. Of course, the dogs came with the responsibilities which I happily took on. I loved taking them for walks, meal time, playing fetch in the yard, and even the poop scoopin' duties. Currently, I work from home and get to spend all day with my golden retriever Stark. I want to help the other working dog moms and dads in my community who don't have the luxury of being home with their dog every day. If you want help to take your dog out to go potty, go for a walk, snuggle, just visit, or play, then I'm the one for you!! I work from home and can be available as needed as long as it's not during a scheduled conference call - gotta keep my day job. I'm pretty flexible but also don't mind a routine schedule if that would benefit you. If any dog steps it's paws in to my home or yard, I'll treat them like a part of my own family. Just seeing a dog puts a smile on my face. I have a large home with wood floors. There's also a large nearby fenced-in dog park a few miles from my house where I take my golden retriever to really run off the zoomies. I love my dog and I'm obsessed with him. Every photo on my phone is of my dog, my kids, or food, the three loves of my life...oh and my husband, he's got a few photos in there too.

“Shatoria was absolutely awesome! She stopped in to check on my cat Olivine while my roommate and I were away for the weekend. During our initial visit, Shatoria asked a ton of questions about Olivine and her routine, some that I hadn’t even thought to bring up, which was great. During the actual visit, she passed along lots of photos of Olivine with her update. She also took a photo of her automatic feeder so I could see how Olivine had been eating, which I appreciated. I had never hired a pet sitter before, so that came with some anxiety, but Shatoria made me confident that I was leaving Olivine in great hands! About: I have experience fostering cats and dogs of all ages the last 6 years. I have experience with special needs dogs and cats, reactive dogs, and puppy training. I work from 7:30-4 Monday-Friday I am available to stay at the house to be there in the morning for the pets. I will be there right after work. I unfortunately cannot watch pets at my place, but I can stay at your place or can just stop by to feed and let out.

About: Dogs are my favorite people - I attract dogs wherever I go. I have owned two dogs in my adult life-English Bulldog and Goldendoodle. Currently, I have a 10 year old goldendoodle. She loves everyone. I am a teacher and have off during the summer. I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, running, reading, gardening, and cooking. I’m currently on summer break, so my days are very flexible. During the school year, I am available before 7am or after 4pm. I have a very friendly goldendoodle. I have a big yard. I am willing to provide lots of love, playtime, and walks for your dog. I can be active with your pet or sit with them and love them up. Whatever you need, I can provide.

About: I've had dogs every year of my life. Moved around the country with them, and taken care of them like family since before I could walk. I've taken care of all ages. I'm currently working part time to help put me through college, so I have plenty of time most days to come in and take care of your dogs. I know how to make sure your dogs is safe and taken care of, and will follow any instructions about how you specifically want things done. Everyone does things differently, and I want to try and keep their habits as similar to normal as possible.

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was a kid. Occasionally, for friends or neighbors, but most of my experience is from having a pups and cats of my own. I will be unable to adopt a dog for the foreseeable future, so this will be my way of staying connected to animals and making some new furry friends. I love spending time outside and I'm willing to head to the dog parks, trails or even the beach if you would like. Monay-Wednesday evenings are usually open. Most Fridays and Sundays I have more flexibility. Saturdays are also flexible if your pup/kitty is okay with kids. I have a daughter who loves animals as much as I do and she would be very gentle and playful. Every family and furry friend are different. That's one of the things I love about this job. I will be open to any specific routines, diets, training or requirements that you have in place.

About: I am currently a full-time Team Coordinator that works remotely out of my home, or any place with wifi! Working remotely has provided me with a lot of spare time, not having to commute to and from work, so I am looking to fill some of that time caring for animals. I currently have two dogs and two cats at home. I have experience with all types of dogs including small dogs, like my dad's Peekapoo, and large dogs, like my brother's Great Dane. I've taken care of puppies as well as senior dogs with extra care needed included insulin injections and eye drops. I am available for entire weekends, individual weekend days, full weeks and individual week days. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) and please don't hesitate to ask me any questions! If weekdays are needed, I have the flexibility to work from your home which gives me the opportunity to be there all day long if needed. Only working from 7:30am to 4:00pm with no commute gives me plenty of extra hours for pet/house care. I will treat your pets and home with the utmost respect as if they were my own. I would ask for any special requirements that pertain to housesitting and pet sitting ahead of time so I can follow them when I am there. I always make sure to lock doors and stay vigilant, especially at other peoples’ homes. I can be available to you by phone any time of the day or night when I am watching your pet/house and am always willing to help out with anything that may come up!

About: Although I have not been a trainer, I have raised my own puppy, as well as been around dogs my whole life! I love nothing more than dogs and the joy they bring to peoples lives, I know times can get busy, but that’s what i’m here for! I have my own puppy at home, and i love spending time with him, but i also love spending time with other dogs:) i love going on walks, and to parks around the neighborhood! About: Hi! My name is Marcela, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a special place in my heart for both dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own, Chester and Athena. Chester is my small rescue dog, and I’ve had him since I was 9 years old. I truly grew up with him, and he has been by my side for most of my life. Chester is deaf, and as he’s gotten older, he has also developed anxiety and takes medication to help manage it. Over the years, I’ve learned how important patience, consistency, and understanding an animal’s individual needs can be. I communicate with Chester using hand signals and gentle body language, and caring for him has taught me so much about connecting with animals at every stage of life. Athena is my pit bull, and we love spending time outdoors with our animals. Whether we’re going for walks, playing, or simply enjoying the fresh air, I genuinely love giving animals attention, exercise, and plenty of affection. Athena has also had difficulty getting along with other dogs, so we worked with her through training to help her become more comfortable and learn how to interact appropriately. This has given me firsthand experience with the patience, structure, and careful management that some dogs need when around other animals. I also have hands on experience caring for a cat with significant medical needs. My cat, Fergi, was diagnosed with HCM and eventually developed end stage heart failure. During his illness, I became very familiar with the day to day care that comes with heart failure, including administering medications, monitoring his breathing, appetite, energy, and behavior, and paying close attention to small changes in his condition. Going through that experience also taught me how difficult it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care when they’re sick or have special needs. I know how much worry can come with wondering if they’re okay while you’re away. Because of that, I want to be the kind of person who gives another pet parent that same sense of comfort and reassurance, knowing their pet is being watched over with patience, love, and genuine care. I absolutely love cats, and after recently losing Fergi, I’m not quite ready to bring another cat into my home yet. I would, however, love the opportunity to care for and spend time with other people’s cats. It would be really special to have that connection again while giving your cat the love and attention they deserve. I also take pride in the everyday care I give my own pets, including brushing my dogs’ teeth daily. I’m happy to provide routine care like this when requested, along with walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and plenty of companionship. Whether your pet is young, a senior, anxious, shy, energetic, or needs medication or extra patience, I’ll treat them with the same kindness and attentiveness I give my own.
