About: I was a volunteer supervisor at the same no kill NYC rescue organization weekly from 2007- 2020. I have cared for dogs and cats of all types with all kinds of issues. I have worked as a dog walker and watched cats prior to Rover. I have fostered and owned both dogs and cats. I have watched up to 5 dogs at any one time in my own home. My current senior dog is petrified of NYC and I do everything it takes to make her walks as pleasurable as possible. I truly love them all. I work FT from home and I take care of my neigbors dogs and cats pro bono. I cannot think of anything else that I would rather do. This isn't work to me. I can do Fridays, weekends and evenings (any day of the week) and depending on your needs, I may be able to flex my schedule around your pets and do weekdays as well. I will follow the client's instructions for their pets. I know how important it is to take care of a pet per the owner's instructions. I will only alert the client if I am not clear on the instructions or detect some sort of danger.

“Emily was amazing with our cats! She sent so many updates and pictures. She made sure to befriend both of them even though one is very shy and she made them so comfortable. We will definitely make sure to book her again because the girls loved their time with her!”

About: I specialize in small to medium-sized dogs who need calm, gentle handling. My own dog, Cruiser, is a 6-year-old Bichon-Poodle mix who’s taught me how to recognize early signs of stress and use structure to help dogs feel safe. I’ve cared for reactive walkers, anxious pups, and dogs needing slow introductions or consistent routines. I always lead with presence, patience, and emotional attunement. Whether it’s a short check-in or a full overnight stay, I create a secure, grounded environment where your dog can relax and be themselves. I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent care and attention. I’m available for house sitting and drop-ins most weekends, and weekdays after 10AM. I’m happy to coordinate timing based on your dog’s routine. I provide care in your home to help your dog stay relaxed in a familiar environment. This works best for dogs who thrive on consistency and calm. I follow your routines closely — including feeding, walking, and crate preferences — and keep the space clean, quiet, and respectful. While I care deeply about all dogs, I don’t currently board pets in my home in order to protect my own dog’s peace and safety.

“We booked David again for check-in visits with our kitties during our long weekend away. We were very much pleased with his services and would continue to book him in the future. And our kitties agree! 5 stars!”

I'll diligently clean up any messes, regularly sanitize food and water bowls, and ensure that your pet's living area is kept pristine. Additionally, I'm well-versed in administering medications and following any special dietary or health-related instructions to ensure your pet stays happy and healthy under my care.

“Tosha was fantastic. I left for a longer than usual time on vacation; and Tosha came by on daily basis to watch and check-in on my cat, Buddy. Tosha was communicative, helpful, and did a wonderful job watching over him. She even went above and beyond to help clean up after Buddy when he made some messes in the apartment. I'm very grateful for her help, will book her in the future, and recommend others do as well.”
