I’m a Yale graduate and current Columbia Law student looking to get my pet snuggle fix while making use of my flexible schedule. - Dogs: I’ve had family dogs my whole life, and I frequently watch my friends’ pups. - Cats: I grew up having, petsit for, and really adore cats. You can often find me sitting on NYC streets petting neighborhood dogs and trying to resist adopting all the cats I see. I will treat your fur baby like my own! After working for several years, I’m currently back in school as a law student. This means I’ll have time to play with, check in on, walk, feed, give belly rubs to etc. your pet on a somewhat flexible schedule. I live in an elevator building with grass, parks, and green space nearby. In your home, I’ll keep your pet comfortable while respecting your space.

About: I have lived with and loved dogs for most of my life. I genuinely treat dogs as part of the family and always ensure that they have enough exercise, food, and affection to live happy & fulfilling doggie lives. I have experience walking and sitting dogs of all sizes. Your dog is guaranteed to get loads of love and attention from me. I have a hybrid work schedule, so I would have plenty of time to care for your dog. I am also physically active in my daily life, and would love for your dog to join me in getting my steps in! I care for pets by making sure their needs have all been met before I start my day. Before leaving the house on a walk I ensure that the collar and leash are secure and there are no possibilities of the dog escaping. Inside the home I ensure that the floor is cleaned up so that the dog is unable to get into anything potentially poisonous or ruin its owners belongings.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. I trained my family dog (a german shepard/collie mix), and regularly fed, walked and bathed our house pet. I trained our dog how to sit, laydown, fetch and go on walks. I spent extra time training on walking, to ensure our dog would not pull and bark, but have focused exercise walks, stopping and sitting on command to enure a safety. I frequently exercised, played games, and went on hikes with our dog. I set up mini obstacles in the yard to encourage our dog to jump over and go under tunnels as we played fetch to enrich the experience. As our family dog aged, I made sure to alter our walks to shorts distances, take things slow, and allow our dog breaks to ensure she made it home exercised but not overworked. As our dog lost her eyesight, I included breaks in our walks to allow her to investigate new scents and parks that she might not be able to see. I now have a cat, that I feed and care for in my home. I currently work part-time jobs with high flexibility and can be available most hours to care for your pet. As long as communication is clear, we can always find a time for a walk! I currently only offer walking services. When I am in a home with a dog, I am sure to approach the dog slowly, allow them to come to me, and offer a low hand to sniff. I be sure the dog is comfortable before advancing with a leash for walking.

About: I have always been the main caretaker to the dogs my parents would bring home. The “family dogs” always ended up being my dogs. This happened because I was the one who played with them, walked them, trained them, etc. My siblings would be upset that I was favored, but they didn’t understand that loving a dog is not enough. Outside of my home life, I take care of past roommates' dogs or my extended family's dogs while they’re away, always treating them as if they were my own. I have had to manage a full-time job with two dogs, one of which was a puppy. I am currently going to Grad School at Columbia and have one class daily, but with breaks and time to go check on and spend some time with your fur baby. As long as there is wifi for me to do homework, I can house-sit with no issues. I am in New York for at least a year, and I really miss my dogs back home and would love to spend time with yours.

About: I have walked all kinds of dogs since I was 15. I started with Pitbulls in my neighborhood and walked all sizes since then. I went on to adopt a dog 10 years ago and now live with my fiancé who brought her own dog into our home. I will always be a dog father for the rest of my life and truly value what they mean to someone as a pet/partner and in some cases -child. I already walk my dog 3 times a day so pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. Currently dog walking is my only profession as I look for work so I am completely open to accommodate any scheduling requests. Having walked many different types of dogs throughout my life, I know that each dog has different personalities and needs that must be accommodated for. Each pet has its own routine that helps make sure they are happy and healthy. One of my dogs is very good at communicating when he needs to go outside, and I can read his cues and take him out for multiple walks in quick succession. Another one of my dogs is much more of a habit former and appreciates a longer walk that tires him out and gets all his energy out of his system. I constantly check on them both emotionally and physically to make sure there are no problems with their habits or their physical bodies. I always like to make sure the dogs I take care of get to spend quality time with me either at my home or at the client's home to help relax them after or before a long walk. I never leave the house without checking they have food and water readily available, and a treat to make sure they're feeling loved and cared for.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been caring for them for over 24 years.
