“Olivia watched our little frenchie this past weekend and she took such good care of her! She sent us pictures every day and we could tell she was in good hands and having a great time with her. I highly recommend booking with Olivia and will definitely be reaching out to her again for future needs!”

“Sue is so wonderful. I was at ease on my family vacation, over a major holiday, knowing that she was there with our fur babies. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. You can tell Sue really cares about what she is doing.”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and understand just how much energy, attention, and love they need to thrive. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure every dog feels happy and cared for. I’m also experienced in administering medications and injections, so I’m comfortable supporting dogs with specific health needs. My goal is to keep your dog safe, active, and loved—just like you would. I am currently in college right now. I am a commuter so I stay at home. I am always in between free in between classes as well as the weekends being completely open. I provide care that keeps pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine, whether they’re in my home or their own. In a client’s home, I make sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment by maintaining their feeding schedule, exercise, and any specific instructions the owner provides. I spend quality time with them through play, walks, and attention, while also keeping their space clean and stress-free. In my home, I create a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment where animals can relax and feel at ease. I supervise them closely, provide plenty of attention, and make sure they have a clean space, fresh water, and regular meals. I also have a 2 year old cat named Cairo that is an absolute pleasure to be around. He would love to provide your animals the company they might want.
“Jarett was Excellent! I got pictures everyday and my dog was sooo happy! Jarett did a wonderful job! Highly recommend! Will be using your services again - Thank you!”

“Kristie is a True Professional ! I'm always a little apprehensive when I have to leave my pups for a Business trip, knowing that Kristie is taking care of them alleviates all my worries....you can tell she loves dogs and my pups have really seemed to taken to her!”

“Rosie did such an amazing job watching our Forrest & Teddy! Both dogs loved her right off the bat during our meet and greet. She sent us plenty of pictures while we were on our trip, which made us feel good knowing our dogs were in such good hands. She spoiled our pups with the treats I had ready, which surely solidified my dogs’ love for her. I really appreciate that Rosie didn’t just stop by to let our dogs out; she went above and beyond spending quality time with them outside, giving them love and exercise while we were gone. I will definitely book Rosie again, and plan on having her become part of our travel routine when we can’t bring our dogs with us!”
“We had the absolute best experience with Kaylee as our dog and cat sitter! She took such amazing care of our pets and made being away from home completely stress-free. She sent us tons of pictures and regular updates, which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. It was clear from every update that our pets were happy, comfortable, and getting lots of love and attention. On top of being wonderful with our pets, Kaylee was incredibly respectful of our home. We came back to the house cleaner and neater than we left it, which was such a pleasant surprise! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would 100% book Kaylee again in a heartbeat! We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, communicative, and responsible to watch their pets and home”

“As always Mariah was a pleasure to have watching the girls and she is amazing with my 2 overly energetic dogs. She's very patient and knowledgeable and I would recommend her to anyone with dogs. She even goes above and beyond and straightens up around the house and does the dishes and is a real sweetheart.”

“Angel was the best sitter we could have asked for. They were great with Addie from the moment they met. We were able to really enjoy our weekend away knowing Addie was in great hands. 100% would book Angel again! Thanks again, Angel.”

“Corinne was fantastic with our dog and two cats. We got lots of pictures and updates and she was very easy to work with throughout the process. We’ve already booked Corinne for our next trip and know the pets and house will be in great hands.”

“Dee was fantastic. We needed a sitter last minute and they were able to accomodate. We received a ton of updates of our pups.I felt super comfortable with them in our home and knowing our three dogs were being taken care of.”

“Megan is everything that you look for in a Sitter, but never find. Megan and my Bichon bonded immediately. Lexi doesn't roll over for a belly rub until she is really comfortable with someone, and that usually takes being around that person a number of times, but she rolled over and wanted a belly rub the first time Megan was here to watch her. Megan remembered everything that we had gone over at the Meet & Greet. She was on time for the Sitting. It's normally hard to leave your dog with someone new, but I was 100% comfortable leaving Lexi with Megan, as I saw how they adored each other. Megan sent some really cute pictures of Lexi, which I really enjoyed seeing. I had complete trust in Megan, which is a great feeling, as it usually takes a little bit of time to build this level of trust. I couldn't be happier, and feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing Sitter for Lexi. I already have Megan scheduled to watch Lexi 2 more times in the very near future. If you want to have peace of mind and know that your pet is being taken care of by an incredible Sitter, I highly recommend Megan.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Washington walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Washington maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Washington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
