“Susan was GREAT! She was kind and patient with my pup. My doggo can be a bit skittish, but Susan and my pup became instant besties. Susan sent a great update on their walk and shared pictures from their adventures.”

“Jarett was excellent with golden retriever. We had another Rover walker cancel on us at the last minute due to a health issue. We were so thankful Jarett was available to walk our dog and take on our last minute request. His communication was excellent, he was on time, flexible, shared pictures and willing to walk our dog on the requested route in our neighborhood. We would definitely recommend Jarett and hope to book with him again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 3 years of hands-on pet care experience. I’ve walked dogs of all sizes and temperaments, volunteered as a dog walker at the humane animal shelter ,fostered several cats (and proudly “foster failed” my first two—because I just couldn’t let them go!), and truly believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and spoiled. Whether your pup needs energetic walks or your kitty just wants some quiet companionship, I’ll treat them like family. I understand how hard it is to leave your pets behind, so I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos, cuddles, and peace of mind while you’re away! I work from home, giving me the flexibility to drop by whenever your pet needs. I’m committed to maintaining your pet’s routine to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable environment where your pet feels relaxed and happy. I follow your pet’s usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest to minimize stress. I provide plenty of attention and affection, monitor their behavior and well-being, and keep the space clean. I also ensure your home stays secure and follow any special instructions you provide to meet your pet’s unique needs.
About: Hi, I’m Marisa—a lifelong animal lover with over a decade of professional experience in pet care. I began working on Rover in July 2024 and have truly enjoyed every moment. Before that, I spent six years managing a well-known dog kennel in Peters Township, where I gained extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with dogs who had a wide range of needs, including those with anxiety, aggression, age-related challenges, and medical issues. Many of these pets weren't well-suited for a kennel environment, and I realized how beneficial in-home care can be for their well-being. That’s why I now bring my services directly to you—so your pet can feel safe, secure, and loved in the comfort of their own home. I’ve built a reputation for handling strong, high-energy dogs and those who are a bit tougher to walk or need extra patience. I'm especially proud of my ability to build trust with shy or reactive pets. Earning their comfort and affection is one of the most rewarding aspects of what I do. Working with animals has always been my greatest passion. I’ve also worked at the Washington Area Humane Society and take every opportunity to expand my knowledge in animal care and behavior. I genuinely believe I communicate better with animals than humans—and I say that with a smile! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I’m happy to accommodate special requests and tailor each visit to your pet’s unique routine and personality. I also provide plenty of photos and updates to keep you in the loop. I'm happy to say since becoming so busy caring for animals I was able to quit my other job and am now available every day of the week. However I do have regular dogs clients that I walk daily so if I am doing an overnight stay I will have other daily drop in visits through out the day/evening. If you need someone to stay with your dog 24/7 I am not the best match. I AM AVAILABLE ON HOLIDAYS! THIS IS MY FULLTIME JOB!! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs before our visits begin. Whether I’m in your home or caring for your pet during a walk, I maintain a calm and controlled environment, always keeping their emotional and physical safety in mind. I closely monitor interactions, use secure leashes and harnesses, and follow any instructions you provide regarding feeding, medication, or preferred walking routes. I never leave pets unattended and always keep a close eye on their body language to make sure they’re comfortable and happy. I also send frequent photo and video updates, so you’ll always feel confident and informed while you're away.
