“I just can’t say enough about how wonderful Marc is. He is reliable, punctual, always pleasant, and best of all, fantastic with my dogs. They have accepted him and bonded with him which is a bit unusual for both of them. I think it speaks to Marc’s way with animals. He’s great!”

“Alyssa was a great fit for us! I contacted Alyssa at the last minute (right before Christmas) to do drop-ins on our cats while we were traveling. I was nervous because one of our cats was throwing up a bit, and we were worried about whether or not he was going to be okay while we were gone. When I mentioned it to Alyssa, she seemed totally unfazed by the prospect of dealing with a sick cat. She sent us updates that let us know when she was here and how long she spent and was kind enough to do things I didn’t ask her to like bring in a package from the porch. Our cats were clearly well-cared for, the litter box was spotless, and the house was secure. I would absolutely hire Alyssa again.”

About: I've had and cared for pets my entire life. I've cared for dogs, cats, chickens, fish, ducks, snakes, a crab, hamsters, and rabbits, no partridge in a pear tree yet! I’m a graphic designer so I work from home. This mean I have very flexible availability to work from my clients home and give their pets a lot of extra love and care throughout the day. I also occasionally work on a farm but wouldn’t be away from my client’s pets for more than 4 hours. I am very thorough with my assessment and questions I ask when house/pet sitting at houses to make sure anything needed is available, or that I may be ready for any issue that may come up. I also LOVE to leave the house I'm sitting at better than I found it. My mother taught me at a young age how incredibly nice it is to return to a very clean house after a trip. It's a lovely gift I truly enjoy to give when I'm finished housesitting.

About: New to Rover, but I've been raising dogs all my life! My family had Labradors and Boxers, I adopted a Basset, and I married someone who loves her Maltese. My wife and I have a spacious house, a large yard, a covered deck, lots of napping couches, and several dog gates so we can give your pup as much supervision as you'd like. We can do meet and greet, a house tour, and an introduction to our own dogs, George (our Basset) and Milo (our Maltese). I work from home, which means your dog's schedule gets followed no matter what. I can easily accommodate frequent potty breaks, play sessions, cuddle times, feeding schedules, and walks. Our dogs (George and Milo) get time outside in the yard at each meal, at least one walk a day in the evening, and play time whenever they want it. Depending on your pup, they're welcome to join those routines, or do more or less. We have our home very intentionally set up for dogs. My work-from-home station consists of just a laptop, which means I can work from whatever room in our home makes your furry friend feel most at home. Our dog gates let pups roam while ensuring we can keep an eye on them. Our own dogs (George and Milo) are social but also independent, so if your pup prefers one on one time with humans, we'll make sure he or she gets it.

“Amazing experience and I was so impressed with the pics and the updated. Hannah did everything that I asked and more. Her kids were a bonus for Harlie girl and she loved it!!! So happy to have this connection so close!”

“Craig took great care of my three cats while I was away, he spent time with them and gave each of them all the attention they wanted. Craig brought in my mail, emptied my dehumidifier every day and kept my house looking lived in. I will definitely use Craig in the future and can highly recommend his services.”

About: Pets are part of the family so I treat them as such. When visiting, I spend time playing, walking and just chilling with the animals. I also send pictures to the owner(s) during my visit unless they are not desired. I have cared for pets with dietary restrictions and those requiring medication. Since I currently work from home, I am able to set my own schedule which will allow me to visit and spend time with your family members as desired. Your home is your castle so I treat it accordingly. Clients have told me if I hadn't sent photos, they wouldn't have known I was there because I leave a client's house as I found it. Animals are my true passion in life. It is my goal to make sure your pets are well cared for in your absence. Whether it be walking your dogs, popping in to check on your cats or staying overnight, I want your pets to be happy.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. My family rescued dogs and I walked neighborhood dogs when I was younger. My dad worked in dog kennels & taught me a lot about animal behavior. I am comfortable around reactive dogs and safety for everyone is always my top priority. Given my experiences, I am able to anticipate dogs' behaviors and situate ourselves to have the best experience possible and avoid potential hazards. My ability to be remain calm, confident and consistent provides a sense of security for animals. I enjoy being around all animals, especially dogs. I am a good listener and responsible. It's an honor to watch another person's pet, and I will always respect the pet and pet owner's wishes. I work a full-time job with a lot of flexibility. I am able to walk my dogs in the morning and during my lunch break. In my own home, my dog is crate trained. He goes in daily walks and if the weather is not appropriate we play games like "find it" or snack puzzles to burn energy. Now that he's older he has free range of the house, but chooses to lay in his kennel. This is what works for me and my family. My dog and cat have constant access to fresh water and scheduled feeds. Neither of my pets are food aggressive so I do not separate them. I will consult the pet owner to learn what works best for their pet.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs & cats my whole life. Big, small, and medium + a range of different breeds. I have a lot of patience and drive to make sure your pet is getting everything they need! I work a part time job and have a lot of free time. This allows me to have my mornings and nights available as needed. In tandem with pet sitting I also have significant house sitting experience. From vacuuming to dusting to dishes; you name it and I will do it. Not only will I take great care of your pet but I will take great care of your home as well— always leaving it better than I found it.

Alex & Sarah S.
“Sarah and Alex were amazing with our dog. She's pretty shy and really just loves hanging out indoors, so we’re always a bit nervous leaving her with new people. But they made her feel right at home from the start. They sent us updates without us even having to ask, notes about how she was settling in and a bunch of pics of her napping by their window and getting all cozy on her blanket. They even asked us about her evening routine to make sure she stayed comfortable. We’ve already talked with them about our next trip. Couldn’t recommend them more!”
