“Alyssa was a great fit for us! I contacted Alyssa at the last minute (right before Christmas) to do drop-ins on our cats while we were traveling. I was nervous because one of our cats was throwing up a bit, and we were worried about whether or not he was going to be okay while we were gone. When I mentioned it to Alyssa, she seemed totally unfazed by the prospect of dealing with a sick cat. She sent us updates that let us know when she was here and how long she spent and was kind enough to do things I didn’t ask her to like bring in a package from the porch. About: I've had and cared for pets my entire life. I've cared for dogs, cats, chickens, fish, ducks, snakes, a crab, hamsters, and rabbits, no partridge in a pear tree yet! I’m a graphic designer so I work from home. This mean I have very flexible availability to work from my clients home and give their pets a lot of extra love and care throughout the day. I also occasionally work on a farm but wouldn’t be away from my client’s pets for more than 4 hours. I am very thorough with my assessment and questions I ask when house/pet sitting at houses to make sure anything needed is available, or that I may be ready for any issue that may come up. I also LOVE to leave the house I'm sitting at better than I found it. My mother taught me at a young age how incredibly nice it is to return to a very clean house after a trip. It's a lovely gift I truly enjoy to give when I'm finished housesitting.

About: New to Rover, but I've been raising dogs all my life! My family had Labradors and Boxers, I adopted a Basset, and I married someone who loves her Maltese. My wife and I have a spacious house, a large yard, a covered deck, lots of napping couches, and several dog gates so we can give your pup as much supervision as you'd like. We can do meet and greet, a house tour, and an introduction to our own dogs, George (our Basset) and Milo (our Maltese). I work from home, which means your dog's schedule gets followed no matter what. I can easily accommodate frequent potty breaks, play sessions, cuddle times, feeding schedules, and walks. Our dogs (George and Milo) get time outside in the yard at each meal, at least one walk a day in the evening, and play time whenever they want it. Depending on your pup, they're welcome to join those routines, or do more or less. We have our home very intentionally set up for dogs. My work-from-home station consists of just a laptop, which means I can work from whatever room in our home makes your furry friend feel most at home. Our dog gates let pups roam while ensuring we can keep an eye on them. Our own dogs (George and Milo) are social but also independent, so if your pup prefers one on one time with humans, we'll make sure he or she gets it.

About: I have owned and trained dogs in the past. I am quite alert to body language and willl meet your pet with respect and patience. I currently work full-time at a “day job “, but I am willing mornings, afternoons and evenings to make house visits as your schedule may require. I have great attention to detail and will follow all instructions given. If there is a special diet or any other special instructions, you can feel confident that I will diligently care for your pet while you’re away.

About: I have taken care and owned dogs for over 10 years. I’m currently a dog owner of two, who we have adopted from the shelter. One of our dogs has serve anxiety so I also have experience in that. I am a stay at home mom, my daughter is in school full time so I have a lot of flexibility during the day and also on weekends. I have a fenced in yard at home, lots of leashes, toys and treats as well. Dogs are treated like humans here, so the couch is all theirs too :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. It never mattered if the dog was mine, some one else’s or a stray, I loved them all - and still do! I’m currently working full time as a teacher. Luckily my school is a 5 min drive from my home, so getting home quickly is a perk ☺️ I do not do any after school activities, therefore when it’s 3:10 pm I’m headed home! My weekends are usually free and any holiday I am free! Your dogs home away from home 🥰 I have a fenced in yard and 2 dogs of my own to play with yours! My home is set up to accommodate any dog needs whether it be food allergies, anxiety, training, medications etc.. I’m able to do it all for your pup(s)! If needed I can continue any training done at home. Due to having 2 herding dogs I have 5 years of experience training. Some of the skills worked on have been: basic commands, potty training - ring bell, crate training, redirection training and recall. One of my dogs has extreme anxiety which has allowed me to learn different ways to train him depending on circumstances. I have rooms and spaces set up in the home to allow the dogs to escape to when they are overwhelmed. While your pet stays with me their comfortability is my priority! When it comes to any type of animal I have endless love, patience, empathy and kindness 🖤

About: Pets are part of the family so I treat them as such. When visiting, I spend time playing, walking and just chilling with the animals. I also send pictures to the owner(s) during my visit unless they are not desired. I have cared for pets with dietary restrictions and those requiring medication. Since I currently work from home, I am able to set my own schedule which will allow me to visit and spend time with your family members as desired. Your home is your castle so I treat it accordingly. Clients have told me if I hadn't sent photos, they wouldn't have known I was there because I leave a client's house as I found it. Animals are my true passion in life. It is my goal to make sure your pets are well cared for in your absence. Whether it be walking your dogs, popping in to check on your cats or staying overnight, I want your pets to be happy.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. My family rescued dogs and I walked neighborhood dogs when I was younger. My dad worked in dog kennels & taught me a lot about animal behavior. I am comfortable around reactive dogs and safety for everyone is always my top priority. Given my experiences, I am able to anticipate dogs' behaviors and situate ourselves to have the best experience possible and avoid potential hazards. My ability to be remain calm, confident and consistent provides a sense of security for animals. I enjoy being around all animals, especially dogs. I am a good listener and responsible. It's an honor to watch another person's pet, and I will always respect the pet and pet owner's wishes. I work a full-time job with a lot of flexibility. I am able to walk my dogs in the morning and during my lunch break. In my own home, my dog is crate trained. He goes in daily walks and if the weather is not appropriate we play games like "find it" or snack puzzles to burn energy. Now that he's older he has free range of the house, but chooses to lay in his kennel. This is what works for me and my family. My dog and cat have constant access to fresh water and scheduled feeds. Neither of my pets are food aggressive so I do not separate them. I will consult the pet owner to learn what works best for their pet.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs & cats my whole life. Big, small, and medium + a range of different breeds. I have a lot of patience and drive to make sure your pet is getting everything they need! I work a part time job and have a lot of free time. This allows me to have my mornings and nights available as needed. In tandem with pet sitting I also have significant house sitting experience. From vacuuming to dusting to dishes; you name it and I will do it. Not only will I take great care of your pet but I will take great care of your home as well— always leaving it better than I found it.

About: I’ve lived in a pet friendly home my entire life and helped with the daily care of pets. I have also helped to train our new puppy. I am a student so during the summer I have a very flexible schedule. I am able to work on weekdays and most weekends, giving me plenty of time to take great care of your pets! The safety and health of your pets is my first priority. When caring for your pets I will make sure they are either leashed or in a fenced yard and always monitored when needed. Of course making sure they have lots of fun as well!
