“Lynn was very good at communicating with us while we were gone. Our cat has a chronic condition and requires medication. She contacted me every day and we discussed what medication and how often. Pippin was in good shape when we got back and I credit Lynn for that.”

“Gabie was great with our new puppy. She was always on time and took time to play with him outside. She kept us updated with pictures and texts. We will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Robyn was so great with our elderly boy Poundcake! We needed her last minute and had never used a dog sitter before so we were nervous but Robyn was so easy to schedule and sent us lots of photos and an overview of her visit with PC! Will definitely be using her again!”

About: Growing up, my grandma always had a dog, and my family has had a number of dogs throughout the years. The dogs that my family has had ranges from small dogs (<20 lbs) to now two bigger dogs (~80 lbs). I am used to dogs of all kinds of temperaments, and senior dogs hold a special place in my heart! I currently am working part-time, so I can fit in pet care around the days that I do not work. In addition, my schedule is very flexible, especially with drop-in visits. I make sure to update my availability regularly, as well! I’m more than happy to go along with your guidelines on house/ pet sitting. I make sure that I read the guidelines very carefully and will contact you if I have any further questions. I live at home with my mom, so pet care in my home is off the table unfortunately.

“Annur is great! My dog is very timid with new people and can be a handful for anyone who isn't familiar with her quirks. Annur was a natural in gaining her trust quickly, which is not common. She is punctual, communicative, reliable, and patient. We will certainly seek her services again!”

About: For the past year, I have volunteered at my college towns local humane society. I have experience in cleaning kennels, bowls, enrichment treat preparations, and more! As well as keeping the environment safe, I ensure the animals feel safe too. Giving attention to all the sweet dogs and cats help make sure they are comfortable and enjoy human company. I am experienced in shy pets as well as high energy! I am home throughout the entire summer and have all the time for ensuring every pet need is taken care of. I have no other on-site work related conflicts. I have a fenced yard and no personal pets so there will be no worries about your animal getting along with another. At your home, I am willing to crate if needed or provide elaborate fun treats, etc.
“Rebecca does a fantastic job. I have her check on my hyper 8 month old pup and she loves her like she was her own! Very reliable, communicative and trustworthy. I highly recommend her.”

All from different families and all in-home stays. I consider myself an observant and knowledgeable animal lover. When it comes to special skills, I have experience training and administering medicine. My work schedule is M-F, 8:30 to 5pm in-office. Outside of those hours, I spend with your pets. Despite working full-time in-office, the happiness and safety of your pets is still my number one concern. About: Lifelong animal lover offering reliable dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs and cats. I’ve cared for pets my entire life and previously boarded dogs through Rover, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. In 2017 I was an active Rover sitter and boarded dogs in my home for about a year, working with several families and building repeat clients. During that time I had multiple dogs and cats of my own, as well as young children, so I’m very comfortable managing busy households and different pet personalities. Today I have one dog and one cat of my own and am excited to return to Rover focusing on dog walking and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. I’m happy to help with: • Dog walking (short or long walks) • Drop-in visits for dogs or cats • Feeding, fresh water, and routine care • Litter box cleaning for cats • Playtime, attention, and companionship • Basic medications when pets are comfortable receiving them I’ve also worked in boarding facilities, grooming salons, and doggy daycares, which gave me experience handling many different types of dogs and temperaments. I’m known for being calm, patient, and routine-focused, and I treat every pet with the same care and attention I give my own. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a wide-open schedule and can be flexible to meet your pet’s needs, whether it’s daily walks or regular drop-in visits. I primarily drive to visits, so I can reach most locations efficiently. To ensure the best care for your pets, I ask for at least a day’s notice when scheduling or canceling visits. Since this is my main source of income, I can be consistent and dependable, giving your pets the attention and routine they deserve. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. Dogs are always leashed during walks, and I adjust routes or pause if other dogs are nearby to ensure a calm, controlled experience. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at once, as long as they get along well. I handle pets with anxiety, aggression, or medical needs carefully, following all instructions from their parents. During drop-in visits, I take my lead from pet parents and follow any guidance provided, ensuring I leave the home exactly as I found it — doors locked, secure, and everything in order. My goal is to provide a safe, consistent, and worry-free experience for both pets and their families.
“Haeli took excellent care of our yellow lab while we were out of town. She was very respectful of our home and was prompt for each visit. She was easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Sophie is the best! She does drop in visits with my dog for me a couple of times a week and is so good with her! She is very reliable and is so nice and such a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend her for any of your needs! We love Sophie!!!”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter/house sitter (3+ yrs) who is passionate about making pets feel safe and comfortable when I’m watching them! 🤗🐶 I am also an active person, so long walks (5+ miles), farm animal needs, or pet medical needs are totally okay with me. I take pride in being able to make my furry friends feel special and enriched during my time with them, so I frequently have clients tell me that their fur babies miss me when I leave! I am also a neat person who is up for completing any household tasks/chores while I’m watching your space. Outside of pet sitting, I have a full time job at a mental health clinic, which means I am in the office: Mon-Thur, 10am-7pm (~8hrs) Fri, 8am-12pm (~4hrs) Federal Holidays I am off of work. I have a flexible schedule which would allow me to come home for a quick potty break in the middle of the day if absolutely necessary! I am a very responsible, clean, and honest person who prioritizes communication and safety when I am watching your fur babies or your home. I understand the trust that my clients give me to watch over their homes and pets is very very sacred, and I am honored to give my clients the best possible experience. I frequently send updates (i.e. pictures/videos of my activities with the pets, weather reports if there are storms, etc.). I am also available by phone 24/7 for clients to reach out. I am flexible and open to completing household tasks (i.e. watering plants, cleaning, etc.) if need be.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
