“Alyssa went above and beyond taking care of our pets, she even went out of her way to get more litter for our cats when we were running low. Very thankful for that! We were also very happy with the detailed notes and pictures she sent us while we were gone. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future !”

“Kirstin did a great job checking in on our extra shy kitty! Consistent communication and provided nice photo updates during each check-in. I appreciated her notes after each visit and our "meet and greet" before the first visit.”

“Prompt, reliable, and knowledgeable about the needs and potential things that could come up in a visit. Our dogs loved her and even our more shy pup warmed to Hilary quickly. We trust Hilary with our dogs.”

“Ella did an amazing job with our animals! This was our first time using Rover and we are very happy with the service! We will be booking with Ella as long as she is doing this! There’s nothing more comforting than knowing your animals are loved and cared for when you are away!”

“Alexus was great! Ella loved every minute with her! She gave her all the lovings while we were gone and went above and beyond. Would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Rachel was kind enough to watch my cat rather last minute after another cat sitter canceled on me - and I am so glad I found her! Rachel was very attentive to my cat’s needs and took the time to ask questions up front before I left for over a week. I definitely felt comfortable knowing Rachel was watching her and she provided updates throughout my absence about how things were going. I would certainly recommend Rachel for petsitting, she was absolutely fantastic! Thank you Rachel!”

About: I have had animals my entire life! Mostly dogs that have lived well into their teens, but also cats. Most recently I had my dog Bella for over 12 years and the last 3 we traveled the country try between Seattle and Miami by car. She unfortunately passed due to cancer and not ready to own an animal, but still love having them around . I am great at playing with animals to keep them engaged and teaching commands. I also can accommodate animals to their needs if they need medicine or special assistance. I work from home for an agency based in Los Angeles. This means that your animal wouldn’t need to be locked up all day if they stay at my house my flexible schedule also also allows me to add walks in the day and play time so your dog isn’t in a crate all day. I also have a yard big enough for throwing sticks for added fun! I do have a fenced in yard that would allow for your dog to run around. I also wouldn’t mind going to someone’s house if I needed to as well as I am mobile.

About: We love all animals and treat them as family. There is care for the animal in the home 24/7. Patient with all types of animals. Work flexibility. I am working full time but my partner works from home. Pets will have company 24/7 with bathroom breaks as needed. If the owner and dog are comfortable with it car rides for fun and to the dog park are always an option. We are able to take an animal in at any time. We will both be home on weekends. Plenty of play time. I have a fenced yard. I have cats in the home but gates to keep them easily separated. I have water fountains for easy access to water. I have experience with giving medication and taking care of animals with bathroom issues.
“Jamie is absolutely wonderful!! She took great care of our 2 big, attention seeking dogs during our vacation. It was nice to not have to worry about them while we spent time away. Highly recommend!”

About: I've dog sat for various families over the years. I've house sat 3 different times, and have experience with senior dogs needing extra care (medicine, cleaning, etc.) I also have experience watching up to three dogs at once. I have family and friends willing to assist me in case of emergencies, as well. I know some dog first aid, including CPR and Heimlich. Once I graduate from college and finish my summer classes in September, my schedule will be completely open! I don't have any regular weekly commitments, so I can spend as much time with your pet(s) as needed! I like to spend as much time with pets as possible, even if that just means sitting in the same room as them while we each do our own things.

About: I’ve been helping dog sit for about 2 years with a friend in Hickman, NE. I have moved into the Lincoln area again & love all sorts of animals! Dogs of course have that special place in my heart. I have an 11 year old husky lab mix that I got when she was 8 weeks old and a 5 year old Dutch rabbit that I got when she was just under a year. I work 40 hours a week for a cancer center in Lincoln and bartend some weekends. Just looking to fill extra time with extra love 💕 Currently work full time 0800-1630 Monday - Friday. I work in South Lincoln and am available for drop ins or walks early or after work. Weekends are more open for availability but I am open to many accommodations! Please reach out for any questions I can crate your animal as needed, walks by leash, outside fetch, etc. any way I can help make your animal feel more comfortable, I am happy to help! If you have a strict schedule or certain way of doing things, please just let me know.

“Alisha was wonderful with our dogs. She was very intuitive with them and gave timely updates!! We will certainly hope she is available next ti.e we need someone to look in on our fur babies!”

“Amy did such a good job with my cats. They looked well taken care of and always answered when I asked questions or needed reassurance that they were happy. Thanks again for doing such a great job!”

About: I'm always more than willing to take care of friends and families dogs. I've raised and trained my own husky and have helped roommates over the years raise there's. Dogs are special to me so I treat them as so. I work from 6am-2pm during the week and don’t work on the weekends. My schedule is flexible everyday after 2pm except Wednesday because of a weekly meeting. I follow instructions step by step by the owners request and will watch out for your loved one on walks with my life. Probably talk to them, get to know them a little bit.
“Tiffany took excellent care of my cats while I was away. She kept me updated with photos after every visit and gave my cats extra attention and pets that helped me feel confident they were in good hands. I came home to calm and happy cats. I’d absolutely book again.”

Alyssa has stopped in for the last 2 weeks on the days I work in office. She provides us with a great recap of her visit and activities with our puppies! We are so happy we have found her and our pups seem to really enjoy her!! We will keep our weekly bookings up, as it is so helpful to us all!

We used Taylor again while we were away for the weekend, and she was wonderful as always! She does such a great job with our pets, and we really appreciate all the photos and updates while we’re away. She’s definitely our go-to sitter! Thank you, Taylor, for taking such great care of them! ❤️

Kelly took wonderful care of my cat when I was out of town. She was on time for all of his visits and sent detailed updates about what they did during each visit. It was clear by the photos she sent that my cat adored her! I would definitely recommend Kelly and will certainly use her again next time I need cat care.

Aly did such a wonderful job taking care of our two senior dogs while we were away. She went above and beyond with them, even taking time to brush the loose hair off my 130 lb malamute! This was our first time using Rover and Aly gave us such a great first experience that we may never board them again! Highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
