About: As a user experience designer, I view pets not just as animals, but as cherished friends and allies. My mission is to provide personalized care that ensures they feel comfortable and secure in their new environment, easing any anxiety they may have. With years of experience caring for pets from my teenage years, I have a wealth of knowledge to support animals of all ages. I take pride in meeting their dietary needs while also fostering emotional connections, creating a nurturing atmosphere where your pet can thrive. I'm skilled in administering medications, grooming, and performing essential tasks like deep-cleaning litter boxes, ensuring a clean and safe haven for your beloved companion. With my unwavering dedication, your cat will receive the highest level of care and attention, with their happiness being my ultimate priority. As I am a free, I have ample free time in my daily and weekly routine. My husband works remotely, so there's always someone at home. This allows us to provide consistent companionship and care for pets throughout the day. Our flexible schedule enables us to engage with your furry friends frequently, ensuring they receive the attention and love they deserve. In my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize safety and trust through a well-structured environment tailored for pets. I ensure that all pet areas are pet-proofed, removing any hazardous items and securing potentially dangerous substances out of reach. When caring for pets, I create a calming atmosphere to help them adjust quickly to their surroundings. I maintain a clean and organized space, ensuring that their living area, food, and litter boxes are always tidy and sanitized. To build trust, I spend quality time getting to know each pet, understanding their unique personalities, preferences, and routines. This personalized approach helps pets feel secure and comfortable while in my care. Additionally, I keep pet owners updated with regular check-ins, sharing photos and videos of their furry friends to ease any worries. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities, ensuring they feel loved and at home, whether in my space or yours.

About: I had a family dog for 14 years and gave it all the love during its time with our family. The last five years my dog developed glaucoma and had a strict medicine routine that I had to follow to help with this issue. After that, I was a baby sitter for 3 years and also walked the family dog in the evenings. Since then, I have helped look over my friend’s/roomates dogs while they have been away. I have also been a cat sitter for my friend’s cats. I believe all furry friends deserve love and care, especially when they are away from their owners! At the moment, I am available evenings throughout the week, and I am very flexible on weekends. My schedule may change in mid August as I will return to school. I am great at following instructions and if needed, I will follow up for any clarification on questions. I aim to follow the furry friend’s routine, give them play time, and/or any desired care needed.

About: I love animals, have had a few small pets, and have watched a few friends' pets over the years. I'm unable to have any of my own at this time so will look forward to hanging out with yours! This also means I won't be bringing other animals' scents into your home. I'm often described by others as having a calm, chill vibe, and understand that pets have a wide range of personalities, quirks, and needs. I will try to send you as many updates as you need about your pets to make you feel comfortable about the care they are receiving. Please let me know about their general temperaments and any special needs so I know how to best interact and care for them. I'm in between jobs right now and can drop in twice a day to check on and play with your pets. I'm looking forward to it! 🙂 I'll treat your place like my own and respect your space and pets. I'll keep to any routines as closely as I can and communicate any unusual signs.

“Andrew was great! He was attentive of Timon and updated me on how he was doing throughout the day. Timon chomped down on a Christmas light and Andrew was quick to respond to get it out of his mouth and put the pieces where he couldn't get them. Will definitely reach out to Andrew again!”

About: IMPORTANT NOTES: - We DO NOT have any pets and only board one client at a time, so your furbaby gets our full attention! Multiple pets from the same household may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please message us to discuss. - If your pet has never stayed with a sitter or is shy, anxious, or fearful, a free meet & greet is required. A short daycare or overnight trial may also be required before longer stays so your pet can get acquainted to us and our place. - Pets needing constant supervision (unable to be left alone without destruction or distress, which hinders our ability to run small errands, get food, or sleep uninterrupted) will incur an additional $50/day constant care fee on top of the regular rate. - Damage fees apply: $20 per potty/vomit accident (on carpets), plus varying repair/replacement costs for damaged furniture or items. - Our calendar fills quickly! Most bookings happen 4–6 weeks in advance, and holidays get booked months ahead. We recommend securing dates early. Free cancellation is available up to 72 hours before your booking in the case you need to book and then change dates later (please read the cancellation policy and understand fees). Thank you! - Rover auto-blocks the last day of a stay, so if you need to drop off on a day and it looks blocked off, message us to see if we may be able to coordinate your drop off on the same day as the pickup of a previous client. Hello from Michelle, Josephine (Michelle's sister), and Mom! We are lifelong animal lovers and have been petsitting on Rover since 2023 (off of Rover for even longer!). We all live together with our tortoise Mr. T in a quiet, smoke-free home with a big backyard, in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of walk routes and nearby parks. Mom is retired and Michelle works from home full time, and Josephine works from home twice a week, so between the three of us, your pet will always get plenty of undivided attention and at least 1 person to keep them company at all times! We’re experienced with both dogs and cats (also fish, rabbits, birds, reptiles), and we especially love helping shy or anxious pets grow into trusting, affectionate companions. We’ve cared for pets of family, friends, and now many repeat Rover clients, and we've had pets and fosters of our own in the past. Our experience includes: - Administering medications (pills, creams, eye drops) for cats & dogs - Giving subcutaneous fluids to cats - Caring for puppies (4+ months), seniors, and large dogs (80–100+ lbs) - Long stays (3+ weeks) At the heart of it all, we believe in respecting every animal and giving them as much love as possible — their lives are so much shorter than ours. 💕 We pride ourselves in being responsive, patient, and accommodating with most if not all requests. If there's anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask! You and your pet's comfort is our greatest priority. I permanently work remotely from home and have a very flexible schedule to be able to take walks and spend time away from the screen. I have a fenced yard and plenty of space indoors. I live down the street from the park and can walk your dog/cat/whatever! or let it have play time outside as much as it wants! I always try to listen to the pet's cues, read their body language, and cater to all of their physical and mental needs.

About: I’m glad to be able to help you and your dog meet your dog’s needs! Ive learned so much about taking care of dogs in different areas just through my own dog and many care & training resources. I currently own a 2 year old mutt who sensitive and has some reactivity issues and is actually my first dog. Hence I understand the struggle of getting your dog’s energy out safely and of course in fun and efficient ways! She was given to me as a puppy out of impulse and I had no experience nor knowledge about dogs. Let’s just say she needed a lot of training after her few months with us. I’ve worked very closely with her trainer who specializes in nervous, fearful and sensitive dogs and even worked under her by walking one of her clients for a short while. Just thought that experience, I can say I have learned a lot of behavioral training & canine body language information from my dog’s trainer, and from other reliable resources that has become useful with helping my dog and even other dogs with fixing small behavioral problems especially on walks like pulling, fixating, and reacting such as barking and lunging. On the other hand I’ve learned how to allow dogs be dogs, providing food that actually nourishes their bodies and overall keeping them safe. I like to use a lot of treats for positive reinforcement but also use the owners provided leash as guidance. I may become quite aware of certain behaviors and I have some tools to aid it in the moment, but desired results rests in the owner’s consistency. Other than that, I’ll do my best to meet your dogs’ mental and physical needs, and especially give them breaks on walks when needed! Hopefully I could also keep it fun for them as well:) A couple rules I do stick with are that I don’t allow dogs who don’t know each other to meet on leash and I try to walk a good distance away from a dog walking nearby to avoid any over excitement or aggression. I will also have beef liver treats on me on all my walks, so feel free to leave any kibble or treats that will suit their preferences. Im currently working part-time but im still figuring out if morning or evening will work out best for me. For now I’ll mostly be available Mondays to Fridays 7am-11am I live in a apartment with my 20lb mutt. They do not allow visiting animals therefore I don’t not offer boarding services. I crate my pup so if you need your pup to be crated and such after a walk I’ll be happy to help. After walks I also like to wipe my dog’s paws as our apartment is carpeted, therefore i wouldn’t mind wiping your dogs paws if you have provided materials and IF of course your dog is comfortable with their paws being touched.

“I highly recommend Alex. My Boston Terrier, Mojo, is very stubborn and does not trust strangers. He seemed to really like Alex and opened up to her easily over the weekend when I'm gone. Alex is great at following instructions and easy to communicate with. Mojo had a fun time I'm sure. Thanks, Alex!”

Yan Z.
“Dear Rover Team, I am writing to highly recommend my friend Yan for a position as a pet sitter with Rover. I have known Yan for three years and can confidently attest to their exceptional skills and dedication when it comes to caring for pets. Yan has consistently demonstrated a remarkable level of attentiveness and care in their interactions with animals. What sets Yan apart is their genuine passion for ensuring the well-being and happiness of the pets under their care. One of the most impressive aspects of Yan's pet-sitting approach is their commitment to keeping pet owners informed and involved. They regularly send photos and videos of the pets, providing peace of mind and allowing owners to feel connected to their furry friends even when away. In my experience, Yan has shown: Exceptional attentiveness to pets' needs Strong communication skills with both animals and their owners Reliability and punctuality A genuine love and understanding of different pet personalities The ability to handle various pet care situations with calm and competence I believe Yan would be an outstanding addition to the Rover team. Their dedication, reliability, and genuine love for animals make them an ideal candidate for a pet-sitting position. Elisa A.
“Elisa is definitely someone I can trust with my dog! She is reliable and can communicate very well. She is great at following instructions when it comes to the care of my pet. She has a lot of love for animals and treats them with care. Elisa is someone I know I can count on when I am away from my pet. Knowing that my dog is under her care, I can feel more at ease when I'm not around because she genuinely cares about others, both human and pets, and she has a very vibrant and loving energy to her. She is someone that can spend time with a low-energy pet but can also handle a walking/playing adventure with a higher energy pet. 10/10!!!”

Irene C.
“Irene stayed over at our house and took care of our two cats for 10 days while my husband and I traveled to Central Europe. She did an amazing job! Our cats eat twice a day and need separate diets (one is on Rx food), and also have to be separated while they eat. The older one can also be temperamental with strangers or when her routine is thrown off. Both kitties seemed relaxed when we got back, which is high praise, and the house was super well kept (which wasn't something we'd asked for). Would highly recommend!”

Andrew K.

“Andrew was great! He was attentive of Timon and updated me on how he was doing throughout the day. Timon chomped down on a Christmas light and Andrew was quick to respond to get it out of his mouth and put the pieces where he couldn't get them. Will definitely reach out to Andrew again!”

Michelle H.
“Michelle is amazing with animals. She has provided amazing care for multiple pets (including her own pets, friend/family pets, and fosters) over the years. She truly loves and understands animals and would make an amazing pet sitter for any dog or cat.”

Charlize Alexa S.
“Charlize S. provided exceptional care for my pet when I had one, and I know firsthand that she is a very trustworthy person. Her honesty is unparalleled, making her one of the most dependable and genuine individuals I have ever met. Charlize’s compassion, attention to detail, and unwavering integrity ensure that she consistently delivers safe, loving care and outstanding pet caregiver.”
