About: New to Rover, but not new to pet care! I grew up with a golden retriever named Daisy and a lovable mutt named Roxie, and more recently became a cat mom to Tortellini. I am a reliable, communicative caregiver who treats every pet like my own. Whether it is a walk around Lake Murray, a game of laser tag with your cat, playtime in the backyard or sticking to your pet's routine, I will keep you updated with photos and messages while you are apart. My goal is to help your pet feel comfortable and cared for while they miss you and give you peace of mind while you miss them. I am a full-time alumni manager and instructor with flexible work hours from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Depending on your pet’s needs, I can provide visits early in the morning, during my lunch break, and in the evening after work. Each client is unique in their needs, and I am happy to tailor my care to what works best for you, including your preferred method and frequency of updates.
About: I got my dog when I was 8 and raised and cared for her for the next 12 years. In college I fostered dogs for about 2 years. I fell in love with each puppy but never adopted. I also used to watch my aunts two goldens in Kansas City. I now watch my sisters black lab frequently, Miss Lucy. I love dogs and until I can get one on my own, I’d love to help others with their dogs in my free time! I spend my time between here and Columbia. I work only 3 days a week as a server in Hollywood and so I have a lot of free time to help!!! It will just be me with your dog. My house is very spacious, with a huge yard and track in the backyard to walk along! I love caring for dogs. I can help with medications as well.

About: For about two years I took care of my cousin's amazing dog Cyrus. My cousin had to travel extensively, so my routine with Cyrus was fairly involved. I took him on almost daily 45 minute walks, during which Cyrus would do his best to sneak tasty poop nuggets from under my laser gaze. I fed him twice per day, adding extra carrots as necessary to fuel some afternoon rounds of golf (his favorite game). And we'd bark at a few cars if they seemed extra suspicious. I also took him on routine vet visits and nail trimmings. I've also pet sit my friend's two cats, Iris and June, when my friend was away for several days. This included keeping the food and water bowls clean and filled, as well as playing with strings (Iris's favorite), and playing hide and seek (June's favorite). Currently, I'm switching from my former profession of teaching Physics, to my future profession of Data Sciece/AI. Right now this entails a lot of sitting and studying, which gives me plenty of time and opportunity to help care for your pet. My particular modus operandi will obviously be at the discretion of the pet owner. But generally, I am comfortable feeding your fur-friend, taking them on walks/playing with them, and taking them for routine visits to the vet if necessary.

About: I have experience working in animal rescue, fostering, basic training, and complex medical maintenance for both dogs and cats. I have fostered over 100 dogs in ten years and owned two heart dogs and three beloved cats, all who had complicated medical conditions that required daily management. Pets are family to me and deserve the best care and consideration. I am currently on sabbatical and looking to fill my days with happy time with pets though walks, play, and just quality time. I’m available every day 11 am to 6 pm. Two days notice is required for both dog walking or dog check-in requests. I have a fenced in back yard and crates, along with dog safe toys, doggy gates, and non slip mats throughout the house for better traction for older dogs.

I was incredibly anxious about using Rover for the first time. I had to be away all day on June 9th to work as a precinct clerk, and because my dad—who usually helped me with the dogs—passed away in March, I was extra stressed about leaving them. Whitney absolutely exceeded my expectations and put all my worries to rest! She went above and beyond from the very start, coming by a couple of days before her visit to meet Emma, Junior, and Target, and to get the lay of the land. Her communication was amazing, and I loved getting the photos she sent of each of my dogs throughout the day. They clearly liked her a lot! She is also incredibly adaptable. At one point, I forgot to check my phone to open the garage door for her, but Whitney just rolled with it. Using the backup tools she was given, she figured it out and still got in to let the dogs out for their final visit of the day without a hitch. I was extremely pleased with her services. I only wish I could hire her every single day for a mid-day playtime outside! I will most definitely use her again if she is available, and I recommend her 100%. Thank you, Whitney, for doing such a wonderful job!
Emily took great care of my two cats and was always friendly and communicative throughout the booking. She was able to pill and give an inhaler to my one cat that needs it. We can not recommend Kelli enough! She took such great care of our two cats during an 8-day trip, with AM and PM check-ins to feed them, scoop the litter boxes, and make sure they had their TV on. Every visit came with a bunch of photo updates, which was so reassuring while we were away. It was clear the cats were comfortable and getting plenty of attention. What really stood out was how thoughtful she was beyond just the cats. She noticed our houseplants were within reach and getting too much direct sun, and took it upon herself to move them somewhere safer. Coming home to happy cats and a clean, tidy house was the best feeling. We'd book her again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much, Kelli!
Sara was absolutely amazing. Caring, attentive, and wonderful with my cats. She even brought her own toys, which they loved! One of my cats usually takes time to warm up to new people, but Sara managed to get him comfortable on day one. She went above and beyond, without being asked she took the litter with her instead of leaving it in the trash, washing the cat bowls, and following all of my instructions perfectly.
