Hello, I'm Alexa! I’m really excited to be back on Rover after having taken great care to focus on my professional work in full-time non-profit rescue. I’m happy to say that I’m still in non-profit, but working remotely now. This allows me to care for your pets much more flexibly. It is safe to say I have experience (and comfortability) with a vast array of dogs and cats—particularly those with some behavioral considerations and challenges. I served as the adoption program manager at a major no-kill rescue in the Columbia area for a number of years, and feel very confident in my knowledge of and tending to pets’ needs. I placed harder-to-adopt dogs and cats into homes and worked with their families on challenges they may have faced during the adjustment/transition-from-shelter period*.
