About: I have experience working in animal rescue, fostering, basic training, and complex medical maintenance for both dogs and cats. I have fostered over 100 dogs in ten years and owned two heart dogs and three beloved cats, all who had complicated medical conditions that required daily management. Pets are family to me and deserve the best care and consideration. I am currently on sabbatical and looking to fill my days with happy time with pets though walks, play, and just quality time. I’m available every day 11 am to 6 pm. Two days notice is required for both dog walking or dog check-in requests. I have a fenced in back yard and crates, along with dog safe toys, doggy gates, and non slip mats throughout the house for better traction for older dogs.
“The best dog sitter I have ever had! My dog immediately loved her. She even got my dog to walk when she was scared by loud fireworks. I highly recommend Lakotah and hope to book her again in the future.”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life, giving me 33 years of hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I recently worked in the pet care industry, which gave me even more insight into providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I personally own a German Shepherd that I trained myself, so I’m confident in handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I also have experience with puppies who need structure and patience, as well as senior pets who need extra love and gentle attention. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—just like they’re my own. Caring for pets is part of my everyday routine! I recently moved to Columbia and have the flexibility to give your pets the love, attention, and consistency they need—whether that’s daily walks, playtime, or longer stays. In My Home: I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex, so dogs enjoy plenty of daily walks and outdoor time. I have a crate of my own if needed for your pet. My own pets are very friendly and social, so visiting animals will always feel welcomed and comfortable. I keep routines consistent, making sure every pet feels at home with lots of love, attention, and playtime. In Your Home: I care for pets just as you would—keeping their routine, environment, and comfort a top priority. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.
“Somiya was very proactive and reached out to meet my dog beforehand so that she would know how to best take care of her. I also loved the follow up pictures and notes on how my doggie behaved. I definitely recommend Somiya if you are looking for someone to go above and beyond for your pets needs!”

“Kelli has been amazing with my dogs! Reliable, caring, and always on time. I love getting updates and pictures during each walk it’s clear she genuinely care. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!”

About: My friends say I can read the mind of dogs - a bit of a dog 'whisperer' and I enjoy dogs of all breeds - having most experience with mixed breeds & high-energy dogs, age ranges from young to old dogs (I have cared for many dog friends & many of my own pups - one since she was 5 months old, until she recently passed away) - so ranging from training age to 'hospice care.' As a former dog owner myself - I know how important it is to have someone you can rely on, that understands it is more about peace of mind, great care, and good communication! I currently have a flexible job, that allows for some freedom to come to the rescue, if you need help or want to have your dog checked in on. I find it best to take care of dogs, in the environment they feel most comfortable in - which is there own home & surroundings. If you have current specifications or the dog needs specific care/meds or they are working on specific points of training - I can assist with any reasonable request, and mostly for what is best for the dog(s)! The best way is to communicate what you & the dog(s) need clearly.

“Clara has been very accommodating and willing to work things out with my dog, Beckett. I love that she uses the rover card so i can get notifications in real time when becket has been picked up and where he went on his walk so i do not have to worry if i haven't heard anything. She is very responsive and listened well to the routine i explained for Beckett.”

About: I’ve had about 6 years of professional pet care experience. In high school I took introductory vet classes as well as volunteered at Pawmetto Lifeline. I’ve been pet sitting for family and friends for many years and am well experienced in a wide variety of pets. During summer I was grooming pets full time as well. I’m currently a senior at the University of South Carolina majoring in biology and am opening my own pet grooming and pet sitting business once I finish. I am available for drop ins and walking in the morning and afternoon. I base my work on your fur babies wants and needs. About: My 1st Drop-In visit is free for multiple visits, just ask! While taking care of multiple pets in my household growing up and dogsitting for friends and family, I know the amount of care and love a dog needs to sustain a healthy and happy life. I like to stay physically active so walking, playing in the yard, or going to the park isn't a problem. I'm currently working part-time, so I do have time to spare for your pets! I am available mainly on the weekends, but during the week I am usually free for pet care/drop off/pick up. I have a fenced yard and a walking trail in my neighborhood for anytime the pups need to go out. I can keep your dog crated or let them roam free around the majority of the house if I am not home. I am available to feed and water your pets in the morning, afternoon, and evening if need be.
