About: I’m an avid animal lover and enjoy spending time with animals. I’ve house sat and managed the care of others pets for over 20 years. I care for animals and your home they way I want my animals and home cared for. I work remote and have flexibility in my day-to-day schedule. This makes it easy for me to stay at home with your animals or pop in for a quick walk. I follow medical and feeding instructions to the letter. I work to ensure a safe environment for the pets at all times and leave your home as I found it.
“SweetPea is getting not only more exercise (and is healthier as a result!) but also so many new and different places to check out and sniff! Hannah is kind & patient and it’s clear that SweetPea enjoys her Rover-time!!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life, giving me 33 years of hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I recently worked in the pet care industry, which gave me even more insight into providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I personally own a German Shepherd that I trained myself, so I’m confident in handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I also have experience with puppies who need structure and patience, as well as senior pets who need extra love and gentle attention. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—just like they’re my own. Caring for pets is part of my everyday routine! I recently moved to Columbia and have the flexibility to give your pets the love, attention, and consistency they need—whether that’s daily walks, playtime, or longer stays. In My Home: I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex, so dogs enjoy plenty of daily walks and outdoor time. I have a crate of my own if needed for your pet. My own pets are very friendly and social, so visiting animals will always feel welcomed and comfortable. I keep routines consistent, making sure every pet feels at home with lots of love, attention, and playtime. In Your Home: I care for pets just as you would—keeping their routine, environment, and comfort a top priority. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.

“Sasha is a great Rover walker and I highly recommend her services to anyone! My dog Hazel is very shy with everyone she meets, but she immediately took a liking to Sasha and now every time she comes by to take Hazel on a walk, Hazel looks ecstatic in every picture that Sasha sends me from the walks. It makes me happy to know that my dog is in good hands while I'm away during the day, so I highly recommend booking her for any of your pet needs.”

“The best dog sitter I have ever had! My dog immediately loved her. She even got my dog to walk when she was scared by loud fireworks. I highly recommend Lakotah and hope to book her again in the future.”

My Pets and I have been so lucky to have met Valarie. Valarie is the epitome of professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and responsible. My pets are my babies, and it’s hard to leave them with anyone, but when I leave them with Valarie, I feel very secure that they will be well taken care of and enjoy every minute of their time with her. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
