“SweetPea is getting not only more exercise (and is healthier as a result!) but also so many new and different places to check out and sniff! Hannah is kind & patient and it’s clear that SweetPea enjoys her Rover-time!!”

“Can't explain how grateful I am. Just words can't explain. My dog loved her and she treated her amazingly. Absolutely no complaints or worries about my dog being not taken care of. She takes care of the pup and is involed with the pup”

“Samantha has been amazing so far. She has been very communicative and sends plenty of pictures of our dog during their outings. Always on time and doesn’t leave a trace after she drops him off other than adding water to his bowl which we appreciate. She does a great job of checking for accidents and other things that may be out of place during the visit and reports back if anything is found. We definitely plan to continue using her services for as long as she allows us.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have experience caring for family pets on a daily basis. Through feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and companionship, I’ve learned how to understand dogs’ needs and make them feel comfortable and safe. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends dogs on multiple occasions. I’m responsible, attentive, and committed to treating every pet with the same care and patience I give my own dogs. I’m currently a college student with a part-time job, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. When I’m not in class or at work, I’m usually home and available for walks, drop-in visits, or house sitting. I’ll always communicate my availability and make sure your pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve I’ll make sure to follow your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you leave, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, medications, or just giving them plenty of attention. I grew up with dogs, so I’m comfortable caring for them and know that every pet is different. I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own and do everything I can to make them feel comfortable while you’re away.
“Sasha is a great Rover walker and I highly recommend her services to anyone! My dog Hazel is very shy with everyone she meets, but she immediately took a liking to Sasha and now every time she comes by to take Hazel on a walk, Hazel looks ecstatic in every picture that Sasha sends me from the walks. It makes me happy to know that my dog is in good hands while I'm away during the day, so I highly recommend booking her for any of your pet needs.”

“The best dog sitter I have ever had! My dog immediately loved her. She even got my dog to walk when she was scared by loud fireworks. I highly recommend Lakotah and hope to book her again in the future.”

“Samira has been a jewel! She is reliable and just an awesome person. Bentley loves her and we will miss her dearly! Thank you Samira for being consistently there for Bentley! You rock!!!”

“This was my first experience using Rover, as our normal dog walker was unavailable this week. I was very pleased! Grace’s communication was excellent. She always responded very quickly. She gave a detailed summary of her visit and many photos! I could tell my pup was well cared for on her walks. My 17 year old cat also got some love too! I highly recommend Grace! I hope to use her again!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for about 4 years and have experience caring for pets with special medical needs. My own dog has separation anxiety, depression, and receives injections at home, so I’m comfortable with extra care and medication. I’ve also cared for my cousin’s dog with epilepsy, including administering medication and staying calm during seizures. I love getting to know every pet’s unique personality and treat each one like they’re my own. I’m a student at the University of South Carolina with a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time to care for your pets. I’d love to start by offering dog walks and drop-in visits, and I’m also happy to provide pet sitting as needed. I always do my best to work around each family’s schedule and make sure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have reliable transportation throughout Columbia, pay close attention to routines and instructions, and always provide a calm, caring environment. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Shanavia made me feel so safe and comfortable. My dog is a little crazy but she was so patient and took the time to understand my dog and train her. She has become my go to walker!”

About: I have been a pet owner all of my life and there is a special joy and comfort that only a dog or cat can give us! I think it is important for our pets to get daily exercise to keep them happy and healthy. I'm an avid fitness enthusiast and I love all animals so getting your dog out of the house for daily walks is the perfect fit for both me and your furry friend! It's a great way for your dog to release that playful energy while strengthening their health as well. Playtime is also important in keeping our pets happy and friendly! Getting out and throwing balls, frisbees, sticks, etc is one of my favorite things to do with my own dogs and it's another great form of exercise for your pup! All animals are precious and deserve all the love and care that they can get and I consider it a privilege for me to help you provide that for your furry family member!! I'm currently volunteering part-time which allows me a more flexible schedule which in turn makes it easier to accommodate to the scheduling needs of my Rover clients!! About: Hello I’m Jasmyn, I grew up with dogs all of my life and as I got older I would watch my friends and peers dogs. I’m familiar with older dogs and giving medications, nap times water breaks and outside time. I’m available any time of the week and a typical day would look like, walks, cuddles, play time and medication administration if needed. I am at the hospital 3 times out the week but my schedule is pretty flexible for whenever you need a dog walked. Morning and evenings and especially weekends work. I usually follow any rules you enforce but I usually do the usual, keep them on a leash and monitoring them to make sure they’re being safe.
About: Animal care is very important, I’ve provided pet sitting services for a while now almost 3 years to be exact. Animals should be taken as serious as children, and I will prove it!! Currently I work full time in the morning usually 6am to 12-2 in the afternoon so my services would usually entailed over night or afternoon care. In my own home I provide a fenced in back yard with plenty of room to go potty or just to play outside. Plenty of fresh water, and food.
About: I grew up with all sorts of animals, but don’t have the schedule flexibility to have my own full time. By providing services for folks who also don’t I get to care for animals and help people. It’s the best of both worlds I work from home two days a week where I am flexible to help out with daily needs and most weekends I stay around the area and am opening to offering my home and help to those that travel and need someone to look after their four legged family members I do not have a crate. If one is required please provide it for overnight stays. Otherwise I’m happy to get up and stroll so your pets can get the exercise they need throughout the days
“This was my first time using the recurring service feature and Dominic is so great. I feel good knowing Sam is safe and taken care of. She was even kind enough to bring some packages inside that had been left by the door. Great communication as well and very reliable.”

“Bella-Rose is my 18 week old, lovable Cavapoo fur baby. Christina is her first other human exposure besides me and Bella's dad, being that she just got all her vaccines. I unexpectedly had to cover my 24 hour business this month and knew I would need help with Bella. I signed on with Rover and Christina responded within 5 minutes. I was nervous at first but upon meeting Christina, I knew that Bella was in good hands. Chrisrina is on time, professional, and very loving and patient with Bella-Rose. I had no idea that these type services existed, being a new puppy mom, but I am glad I found Rover and Christina. I will definitely be using her in the future and I highly recommend her. She is great!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
