“Andrew was wonderful with Lola. He gave detailed reports each time he visited and sent multiple pictures. She was very happy to see us when we got home, but she was in great hands with Andrew!!!”

“Hannah was an absolute dream-come-true. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring and thoughtful pet sitter. I really appreciated the report cards and photos she sent me. And, my cats adored her. Even the shy cats grew to appreciate her visits. I will always try to book with Hannah from now on.”

“We had a scare from our pups getting into stuff they shouldn't have. Kayla notified us, stayed twice as long as normal, contacted a local vet for advice, and implemented the medication we requested. We're so comfortable and relieved having her part of our support system!”

“Dominic is very reliable and took care of our pet as if it was her very own. We really appreciate you for taking care of Bella while we were away and look forward to booking with you again very soon.”

“Hannah was stellar! I had a somewhat last minute request and she was able to fit me into her schedule and still found time to do a meet and great. Her visit cards were thorough and thoughtful. I would definitely rebook.”

About: Hi, I’m Sam! I live in NE Columbia near Sandhills, and caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s truly part of who I am. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities, from tiny puppies to giant seniors. I’m also the South Carolina Manager for Daisy Bean Rescue, where I’ve helped countless dogs find their forever homes. That means your pup will always be in the hands of someone who knows how to keep them safe, happy, and loved. I work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible and your dog would almost never be unattended. I can take frequent breaks to make sure your dog is well looked after and not alone. I want to care for your pet just exactly the way you would if you were available. I strictly follow all care instructions and make them as comfy as possible until you return.
“Aleksandra went above and beyond taking care of my two cats for a week at the last minute after my prior coverage fell through. I highly recommend her and she will be the first I ask should I need someone to watch them again.”

Growing up we raised 13 German Shepherds! I graduated from a Christian high school and have graduated with a bachelors in Biology. About: I've been providing large animal care for over eight years. I have cared for many dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. I currently have a horse of my own, as well as a three year old bearded dragon. I also had my own chickens for over ten years. Pet care brings me great joy, and I love getting to know the fur babies that I am lucky enough to care for. I am a college student, but am now on summer break. I currently have extensive availability, and am flexible with dates and times. I will still be available once classes begin, but with changes depending on my schedule. I am happy to provide care and attention to pets who are highly social, but also work well with those who prefer a bit of distance or may be more uncomfortable around strangers. I take slow steps to gain the trust of new animals, and make sure they can clearly understand my intentions in order to prevent startling them. I tend to ask owners plently of questions to be sure the animal's specific needs are met to the best of my ability. I am happy to send plently of pictures and updates throughout my time caring for your critters!
About: I’ve grown up with every kind of animal; dog, cat, bird, snake…you name it I probably had it. I currently own my ESA Molly, a 3yo cat who was a pregnant foster fail (her 4 babies went to amazing homes). I have experience fostering and owning pregnant dogs and cats. I have midwifed puppies at the age of 15 alone. I then got to train those 6 puppies which was an amazing experience. I love getting to spend time with animals and I have the time to help owners who maybe can’t be with their fur babies all day. I am a full time graduate student, however weekends i have all day availability, and during the week I am available in the mornings and evenings. I don’t work so other than classes I have a lot of free time. In my own home, Molly is cared for solely by me. This would be the same for your pet. I have two female roommates (also animal lovers) who have their own space in our apartment. Molly is allowed free roam including the balcony, however only with MY supervision on the balcony. With foster dogs we’ve had, they were also allowed on the balcony, as we are on the second floor with a 4.5ft railing. Our complex has a completely fenced in large grass area for dogs in between the buildings where we take our fosters out to play. In your home, it is up to you how I care for your animals. I’m willing to do sidewalk walks as well as go to dog parks. I have no issue visiting your pet at your home to take them just to the backyard or on a 2 mile walk.
About: I have a special connection with animals, Especially dogs. I have had dogs all my life, from puppies to elder ones. After losing my dog due to old age, it makes me appreciate dogs even more! I like to think that dogs are equal to having a child, they need attention and love! I’ve even worked with dogs with disabilities. I am a true dog lover and you will have my word that I will treat your dog with the the attention and love I can possibly give. I am very strict with myself on following your rules for your dog. I will do my best and always respect what you want for your dog and what your dogs needs are. I always have a fun time with dogs and I’ll even send you pictures to keep you updated with your dog. I go for walks every morning therefore guarantee your dog will get their walks in with me in the mornings and even some in the afternoon! I will always make sure to follow any rules you have in place for your dog. I will also make sure that they are in a safe environment. Water will always be available anytime and I will feed your dog per your instructions.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arlington Estates. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
