“Reagan is amazing! She was so attentive to instructions for our elderly labradoodle who takes several medications throughout the day. Reagan was prompt to every drop-in time and super communicative. We came home to a reenergized dog who was clearly so very well taken care of!”

“Hannah was wonderful with our two kitties! She sent pictures and detailed Rover Cards that we truly appreciated! This made us much more relaxed while being away! She was not previously familiar with cat inhalers, but was willing to learn during the meet and greet. We will definitely book Hannah for future drop in visits! Thank you Hannah!”

“Caitlin is absolutely wonderful with my giant Schnauzer, Rallo! 🐾❤️ She treats him like her own, giving him so much love, attention, and care. Rallo absolutely adores her, and I have complete peace of mind knowing he’s with her. Caitlin is trustworthy, dependable, and truly goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend her more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Kelly was AMAZING!!! Her timing was prompt & she went above and beyond my expectations. Working long shifts in healthcare leaves me so stressed knowing my furbabies are at home alone & knowing they got such good care from Kelly was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Seriously, I can’t thank her enough. For taking the extra time to walk her, making sure she got multiple potty opportunities, and the photo updates. Highly recommend 🤩”

About: Animals are special creatures who deserve special care and love. I've cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits since I was old enough to talk. Specifically, I've been hired by many friends, family, and friends of friends to pet sit as well as house sit! I am a kind and strong person who has most experience caring for dogs in all walks of life, including administering medication and special care to a large and elderly dog with blindness and cervical spondylomyelopathy (Wobbler Syndrome). I myself have 3 cat children (an inseparable brother-sister combo named Biscuits and Gravy, and an elderly cat named Feeny). I most enjoy caring for animals in their own homes/spaces where they can feel comfortable and keep their known routines. I have an intuitive approach to pets and a deep sense of integrity and honesty. I consider myself lucky to interact with as many beautiful pet children as I can! I have a very flexible and open schedule at the moment, so I am available for daytime, nighttime, weekends, as well as longer-term sitting, if required. I offer care in your own home to ensure your pet feels safe and has as little of break in routine as possible without their owners. I have the utmost integrity and honesty. I am a strong, astute, sensitive, and confident person who will care for your pet as my own.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets, including feeding, exercising, grooming, cleaning living areas, and providing attentive daily care. I am comfortable working with animals of different sizes, breeds, and personalities and understand the importance of patience, safety, and recognizing changes in an animal’s behavior or needs. I am passionate about animal care and always strive to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I’m working part time I have the mornings off I can come and take care of your pets! I’m off all day on Thursdays and Tuesdays. I also have the weekend off. I’m a very active person who loves to go on walks especially with my dog! I have a fence in yard we have four acres of land that we can take walks on. We also have a very safe neighborhood.

“I was left in a lurch a week before a trip by my previous sitter. Hannah stepped in and did an amazing job! My dogs behaved like they do when I am here!! This was her first time with my three kids! I am in the process of booking her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had pets my whole life. I currently have two cats. In college I worked on a farm and cared for cattle, chickens, goats, pigs, and alpaca. I am currently a zoo keeper and have been in the field for three years. I have cared for reptiles, small mammals, some birds, and larger hoof stock. I have experience giving medications, preparing special diets, training, and observing animal health/behavior. I have worked with young and senior animals. I currently have Sunday and Monday off so anytime of days work then. Then I work 8-5 Tuesday through Saturday. I can stop by before or after work. I am great at following instructions. When going into your home or staying the night I will provide the best care I can. I will make sure to respect your home and your pets!
“Aleksandra went above and beyond taking care of my two cats for a week at the last minute after my prior coverage fell through. I highly recommend her and she will be the first I ask should I need someone to watch them again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for years and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. As a biology student who hopes to become a veterinarian, I’m passionate about giving every pet the love, patience, and attention they deserve. I’m currently available most days and have a flexible schedule, so I can make time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and feeding. I’ll always communicate with you and make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, keep them in a safe environment, and make sure they feel loved while you’re away. I’ll also send updates and pictures so you can have peace of mind.
“Sydney was wonderful with Bella! She was very patient when Bella was shy hiding under the bed. She played with her, gave her treats and sent me daily pictures of her. I will definitely use Sydney again. I highly recommend her.”

About: I'm a self-employed pet lover and dog sitter with lots of experience under my belt. I also work part time to make sure my family future is secure. While I don't have any dogs of my own, I will welcome yours with open arms and care for them as if they're mine! I live in a spacious, two story house and have ample room for your pet to play. My yard is fenced in and very secure. Since there are stairs in my house, dogs with hip or back problems may sleep downstairs. I keep a clean home. If it is a faint smell of dog pee, it’s because dogs do use the restroom on my carpet (I am a dog sitter and most dogs do so in my home, especially the “not so potty trained” ones). I make sure to clean up after every service rendered. Stays on day of pick up after 2 pm can occur additional fees. References are available upon request. About this sitter: I have been pet sitting for several years. I love all animals, especially dogs. I am self employed who work from home, which leaves me plenty of time to spend with your dog. I also have a part time job to make sure my family future is secure. Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up around them and have been pet sitting for several years. About my yard I have a spacious, fenced-in backyard.
“Janea is truly an angel ! She went above and beyond to help me and my family feel supported as we left out of town. She's very great with communication and thorough. We left our trip feeling confident and knew that our household and Queen Lala was an amazing hands.”

About: Love living in the area, I have always enjoyed spending time outside in all seasons. On any kind of day, I would love to give your family member a walk/run in the neighborhood or at a nearby park/path or whichever they prefer to get some fresh year and exploration through the smells/sights. For the playful pup, I love to run around and play with them until the sun goes down. I have experienced many years with easy and difficult dogs as being a pet owner myself, finding love and care for all creatures all life from dogs all the way to my 3-year-old goldfish. I can not wait to meet your furry family member and give them all the pets and love they fully deserve!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Crane Forest
I’m so happy that I decided on Nontombe! :) I have booked with them 3x over the past few months, and am always happy with the turnout! They’re always thorough, communicative and friendly to my kitties! I’m sad to be moving out of state, because I’m sure most sitters won’t be able to compete with Nontombe!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crane Forest. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 89% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
