About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have experience caring for family pets on a daily basis. Through feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and companionship, I’ve learned how to understand dogs’ needs and make them feel comfortable and safe. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends dogs on multiple occasions. I’m responsible, attentive, and committed to treating every pet with the same care and patience I give my own dogs. I’m currently a college student with a part-time job, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. When I’m not in class or at work, I’m usually home and available for walks, drop-in visits, or house sitting. I’ll always communicate my availability and make sure your pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve I’ll make sure to follow your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you leave, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, medications, or just giving them plenty of attention. I grew up with dogs, so I’m comfortable caring for them and know that every pet is different. I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own and do everything I can to make them feel comfortable while you’re away.

About: I grew up in a household full of animals, three dogs and three cats. I’ve experienced my fair share of pets needs for as long as I can remember. I also love to foster puppies when I get the chance, even though they can be really tricky. I raised my puppy malibu during quarantine and took care of her constantly making sure she was potty trained and getting all her puppy energy out. I also know how to treat older pups because of one of mine that recently passed away due to health issues. she was diabetic and needed insulin shots daily and constant care. I’m currently a junior at the university of south carolina and love to care for animals during my free time. I’m constantly fostering from the local shelter to help out in any way I can. I normally take long walks with them in between class and play outside to give them the attention they deserve. I live in an animal friendly apartment that has a dog park and plenty of outside area to walk around and play. I always make sure the animals needs come first so they always have water, food, and plenty of toys.

“This was our second time using Teresa and we couldn’t recommend her more. She goes above and beyond for our pets. Our dog is always so excited to see her for his walks while we are away. She even gives some extra attention to our outside kitties. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats ever since I was 13 at my own home, and I’ve helped friends and family members walk, play with, and care for their dogs (and cats) for many years. I’ve been pet sitting professionally for two years, so I am well equipped to provide whatever your fur baby needs! I currently work part time in retail, so my schedule is generally pretty flexible. Whatever it is, we can usually always get something worked out!! I have been caring for my cat, Salem, for the last 7 years in my own home. I currently do not have any dogs of my own, but am fully capable of being a loving figure in your pups life if they need a walking buddy or just a play mate for a little while!

About: Hi! My name is Lauren and I’m looking to cat sit anytime and dog sit Friday-Sunday. I’m a dependable and compassionate pet sitter with over five years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I strive to provide personalized care that keeps them happy, comfortable, and safe while you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, administering medications, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry family members are in caring, responsible hands. As a PhD student, my schedule can vary from week to week depending on classes, research, and clinical responsibilities. I’ll do my best to provide reliable, flexible care that fits both your schedule and your pet’s needs. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and gentle care while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll treat your home with respect and your pet as if they were my own. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can see how they are doing and enjoy peace of mind throughout your trip.

“This was my first experience using Rover, as our normal dog walker was unavailable this week. I was very pleased! Grace’s communication was excellent. She always responded very quickly. She gave a detailed summary of her visit and many photos! I could tell my pup was well cared for on her walks. My 17 year old cat also got some love too! I highly recommend Grace! I hope to use her again!”

“Gracie was a phenomenal sitter! Gracie was a pleasure to work with. She was great with communicating and reliable. She did such an excellent job taking care of my Dasher that I am hoping to get her again for the future.”

About: I have had a dog (childhood puppy at home) my whole life and she is my best friend! I have fostered multiple puppies, some who aren’t potty trained, and have experience overnight sitting. My roommates also love to have furry friends around! I am a full time graduate student with a part time job, but will be home a lot and love to get exercise walking. I also have 5 other roommates who would be happy to help out if I am busy with class. I have a front patio for quality outside time, but it is not fenced. I will be outside with your pet whenever we hang out on the patio, otherwise we will be inside.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
