Clara has been very accommodating and willing to work things out with my dog, Beckett. I love that she uses the rover card so i can get notifications in real time when becket has been picked up and where he went on his walk so i do not have to worry if i haven't heard anything. She is very responsive and listened well to the routine i explained for Beckett.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong commitment to animals through caring for strays, fostering, and rescuing those in need. I have hands-on experience with pets of all kinds and treat each one with the same love and attention as my own. My passion for animals guides everything I do, creating a safe and caring environment they can feel comfortable in. Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily routine, starting with feeding and checking on local strays each morning and evening to ensure they’re safe and healthy. I make time every day to provide food, water, and any needed care, like basic grooming or medical attention. I also stay connected with my pets back home through regular check-ins with family and help coordinate their care, making sure they’re well-fed, loved, and looked after even when I’m away. Dogs: Ensure dogs have regular access to food, clean water, and daily exercise suited to their breed and energy level. Provide consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and mental stimulation through play and training. Monitor their health and behavior, and keep their living area safe and clean. Cats: Maintain a clean litter box, fresh water, and appropriate food tailored to their dietary needs. Offer enrichment with toys, scratching posts, and quiet spaces for rest. Pay attention to their behavior and grooming habits to detect any health concerns early.

About: Hi, my name is Tiffany and I would love to be your pet's walker or sitter. I have previous experience with dogs when I helped my friend take care of her yorkie before she had to give her up. I also have experience working at a dog spa where I help watch the dogs (little and big) during daycare hours and sometimes overnight when they are boarding. I also help prepare the dogs meals and any medications they may need and just focus and pay attention to the dog's overall health. I make sure the dogs get enough time for exercise and playing and have a safe and fun time while they are away from their parents. I will do all those things for your dog too while they are in my care.

About: I care and don't ignore if I see an animal in need. I treat all pets how I treat my own. I love pets how I love my own. My dog got killed from an other dog. I fought that this dog don't get put down. If you love animals you don't love just your own! I got my first pet 2011. After I saw how much passion I have for animals. I took care for neighbor hoods pets for free big, small or puppy everywhere where I was. I had different kind of Dogs. I gave them attention and exercise they need it. Important is time and patience. It always worked perfectly. The pets give it with the same passion back to you and that is my biggest reward. I would say my skills are to be there for all animals. For example I would rescue at first disabled and senior dog. I have the passion and love and time. I can adjust to any kind of pet. Every animal I found cats, dogs and a rabbit. I found them because I walking with open eyes. I found them good homes. Have extra room what is prepared for guest pets anytime. Experience I am always around animals. And I enjoy it. My work with animals is no work for me. Pets fit in my daily/ weekly routine very good. I would treat them like my own kids I don't have. In the moment I lost my pet to another dog I felt the pain I never felt before. I realize the pets are definitely everything for me. Defently like to spend much time with pets. I definitely like to give them attention, go with them for long walks, give them playtime, check for fresh water, food and treats. I make pictures and videos anytime and send it to the owner! I would like it too if someone taking care for my pets. Everything what I give and do daily for my own pets.( Maltese, mix Chihuahua Jack Russell and three cats.) . I would do the same with any other pet. Everyone have there spot, toys in the house. The garage is the play ground for the cats made with cat tunnels, scratcher, high boxes and toys. Every walk I take a stroller with me fresh water, treats, toys and other things. Mostly my blind Maltese sitting in the stroller:-). I carry pepper spray and a horn with me every walk. At home I never let them unattended in back yard or else where!!! Trust us good but control is better;-).

About: My 1st Drop-In visit is free for multiple visits, just ask! While taking care of multiple pets in my household growing up and dogsitting for friends and family, I know the amount of care and love a dog needs to sustain a healthy and happy life. I like to stay physically active so walking, playing in the yard, or going to the park isn't a problem. I'm currently working part-time, so I do have time to spare for your pets! I am available mainly on the weekends, but during the week I am usually free for pet care/drop off/pick up. I have a fenced yard and a walking trail in my neighborhood for anytime the pups need to go out. I can keep your dog crated or let them roam free around the majority of the house if I am not home. I am available to feed and water your pets in the morning, afternoon, and evening if need be.

About: I've taken care of my shih-tzu Maltese ever since I was 8 years old she unfortunately passed away and I now have a labradoodle. Family always depended on me to care for their dogs as well. Bathing, feeding, play time, walking etc... I was and still am the go to person when anyone needs a hand to dog sit and fulfill their dogs need when away for vacation or work. I now have a fluffy labradoodle whom I adopted from CA when he was only 4 months old in 2024. He is my best bud, loves toys, dog parks, new scents, walks, running aka sprinting lol, boarding, doggy camp, other dogs and lovessss humans lol he'll jump up on you and try to give you kisses but he gives the best hugs . I have worked at PAWS in Norwalk, CT, where I provided feeding, medication, walks and play time to the dogs in the shelter. I have also worked at Greenwich Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant, assiting with blood draws, nail clippings, surgery, cleaning, X-rays, medication stocking, supply stocking, baths, obtaining specimens, sterilization of instruments, walkings, and vitals. I'm so excited to get to know some pup owners and of course the pups as well. Thank You!!! I care for my dog by allowing him to have as much play time he desires. Being his company makes him feel safe and having fun with him is my way of expressing my love to my fur baby.

About: Every pet has a unique personality and routine. I take the time to learn what makes your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved so their time away from you feels as stress-free as possible. I am a remote freelancer who works my own schedule so I am completely flexible in my pet care schedule. Whether your fur-babies are independent kids who need only a daily walk, or they're needy lil' nellies who want to go potty umpteen times a day. I'm a reliable source for care. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I know that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their schedule, preferences, and personality to make their time away from you as stress-free as possible. As a pet owner myself, I understand that some pets can be anxious, reactive, or take a little longer to warm up to new people. I'm patient, attentive, and respectful of each pet's individual needs, whether that means energetic playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking closely to their routine. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind through regular updates and photos.

My Pets and I have been so lucky to have met Valarie. Valarie is the epitome of professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and responsible. My pets are my babies, and it’s hard to leave them with anyone, but when I leave them with Valarie, I feel very secure that they will be well taken care of and enjoy every minute of their time with her. I can’t speak highly enough about Valarie and the way she treats my animals so well and how much they love the time that they get with her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
