“Couldn’t be happier! Olivia loved her stay and having 2 little boys to play with was the icing on the cake. Nicole sent pics and videos which was awesome. Definitely booking again!”

“Michelle was very pleasant and patient with my dog, who is not accustomed to people outside of our family. When we arrived, she made sure she understood all of our preferences regarding eating, sleeping, and socializing. Throughout our time away, she sent pictures and text updates on how my dog was adjusting. When we picked Max up, he was clean, calm, and doing great overall. A great experience!”

“My dog normally is hesistant of new people but immediately took to Shannon. Shannon taught me about proper intros and health facts around bloating I never knew prior. She not only kept me updated while she boarded my high energy dog everyday she had her, she also was understanding of unexpected car issues i had on the day of pick up. I would recommend Shannon to anyone who needs a safe place for their pet and seeking good communication during whatever service they choose to explore with her. 10000/10 would recommend”

“Sally was so amazing! She communicated throughout the day with pictures and great stories. It was clear that Buddy was having a great time. I would definitely book her again”

“Let me just say my expectations were exceeded! Nontombe was so great. This was my first time boarding my pup with someone other than family, so I was nervous about it, but she welcomed Creed with open arms! Here attentiveness and updates were much appreciated. We’ll definitely be seeing her soon. Thank you again!”

“I'd recommend Michael to anyone. We were first time Rover users and a little nervous. He suggested a meet and greet before we committed to the appointment; we accepted and got a great vibe from the start. Our dog is older and has some personality quirks and a little separation anxiety. Michael and his wife were able to easily deal with her and show her a good time, keeping us updated daily with pics and texts. They accommodated Birdie's preferred sleeping arrangements and gave her plenty of opportunity to socialize with people and other dogs in a low stress environment, which was a huge reason we didn't want to send her to a typical kennel/pet spa. Additionally, Birdie had some minor stomach issues while we were out of town and they kept us informed and updated and gave us a reliable opinion on if/when she should be taken to a vet. They watched Birdie for a week and we got her back happy and healthy, and we wouldn't hesitate to send her to them again in the future.”

“Lindsey and Aaron are the absolute BEST. My pup had the time of his life at their house. They were super great about sending photos and updates. I could tell they were taking great care of my dog and I felt totally safe leaving him with them. They also were super flexible with my schedule. I will definitely reach out to them for future dog sitting needs and I HIGHLY recommend them!”

“Ms. Gina is awesome she took great care of Malichia sent me pictures of her and how comfortable she was with her. I would recommend her services to anyone that wants a genuine person watching your dog/baby.”

“Therio and family were great with my girl! They took her on walks updated pics with me and spoiled her! Even Apollo enjoyed her company. Thanks for keeping Olivia last minute.”

“Assatta was amazing I am so grateful for her! She treated my dog like her own and that's all I ask for. She made sure to keep me updated with videos and pictures. I will definitely be booking again!”

“When our dog sitter canceled the day before we were to leave, Someone recommended Rover. I was hesitant, but I found Sabastian and was happy with his bio. He responded immediately and agreed to get our dog the next day. I am so thankful to them. He and his family took such good care of our baby. He sent us pictures throughout the stay and reassured everything was great and our dog was enjoying thier dogs. Our dog was well taken care of and healthy and happy when we picked him up. Sabastian was very welcoming and kind to us and our dog and I am so thankful that we found him. We will definitely use him again.”

“Aiko did a great job with Brock she was very patient and understanding with him even when he had an accident when he first arrived .I would definitely recommend Aiko and I hope to have her as a sitter again.”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and couldn’t imagine it any other way. My cat Chanel has been with me for 5 years and my cocker spaniel Bentley for 1 year. I’ll treat your pets like my own with plenty of walks, cuddles, and love. I know how important it is to feel at ease when you’re away from your fur babies and I’ll make sure they’re happy and cared for. I have a flexible schedule and am able to go home throughout the day and check on your pet if I’m not already home. I am usually home all weekend and if not then your pet is welcome to join my activities! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet‑friendly apartment community with three dog parks, giving plenty of safe space to run and play. I’ll always keep a close eye on them, provide fresh water, and make sure they feel happy, loved, and cared for in a secure environment.
“Whitney did an incredible job! My dog came home super happy, extremely clean (not an eye booger in sight!), and I could tell she was well-loved by everyone in her family. <3”

“Lucas was so great! He was very attentive and responsive to any questions I had. He sent me many photos while I was away and kept me updated on how my babies’ day went with his new friend Bo.? I can tell Rigatoni had a good time with Bo and was in great hands in their household . Thank you for everything!!?”

“Honey has stayed with Cory and Stacey before and has a great time with them. They send pictures that show that she is comfortable with them in their home. I don’t worry about her, I know she is well taken care of.”

“Hannah was an absolute dream-come-true. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring and thoughtful pet sitter. I really appreciated the report cards and photos she sent me. And, my cats adored her. Even the shy cats grew to appreciate her visits. I will always try to book with Hannah from now on.”

“Kelly was AMAZING!!! Her timing was prompt & she went above and beyond my expectations. Working long shifts in healthcare leaves me so stressed knowing my furbabies are at home alone & knowing they got such good care from Kelly was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Seriously, I can’t thank her enough. For taking the extra time to walk her, making sure she got multiple potty opportunities, and the photo updates. Highly recommend 🤩”

“Hannah is wonderful with Cali, and is really great at making sure she is safe, fed and well cared for! She also sends thorough check-ins with the best pictures! We love when Hannah comes to watch our Cali girl”

“Jade, did a phenominal job watching my three babies (cats). I had a last minute travel issue come up, and I needed to find someone to care for my three cats while I was gone. I had to book last minute, and did not have time to do a meet and greet. This was my first time using Rover, and I selected Jade based on her excellent reviews. My cats are my babies, and I have hired friends and neighbors in the past to care for them when we were gone, only to be frustrated upon return to see that the little I asked them to do, was done very poorly. Due to the last minute booking I was only able to communicate with Jade via messages, but she immediately reassured me that she would make sure our babies were well taken care of. We are in the process of selling our home, so I needed someone who would provide loving care to our cats as well as making sure they didn't track in dirt, and kept things as clean as possible when stopping to care for the cats. Jade went above and beyond, and I cannot thank her enough. My cats are terrified of anyone outside of our family, and because we have realtors showing our home right now, there are a lot of new people coming in and out, which is causing a lot of anxiety to the cats. I asked Jade to ring the doorbell and wait 30 seconds to allow the cats to get to their safe place and hide, to help keep their anxiety down. She did this everytime without hesitation. She made sure the litter boxes were clean, as well as the area around the boxes, which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately we are moving out of state and I will not be able to use Jade's services in the future. However, if you are seeking someone to care for your animals in a loving way, and a way you would care for your animals...I would highly recommend hiring Jade. Thank you Jade for the love and care you provided to our babies while we were away. We appreciate it more than you could possibly know.”

“Hannah is very professional and very interested in taking care of your babies! She is very sweet and has a lot of knowledge about taking care of kitties! She sends photo updates and video updates often! Will definitely ask for her services again! Thank you Hannah! :D”

“Gracen was wonderful from start to finish. We made a last minute booking and she accomodated all of our wants and needs. She was friendly, attentive and communicated well. She even sent pictures and videos of our sweet Smokey while we were away, which really eased our anxiety of leaving him for the first time ever.”

“Amazing with my kitties! She gave me photos and updates on my boys keeping my mind at ease while out of town. Even helped when they got into some food in the pantry. 10/10 Will be booking again!”

“Lindsey was so thorough and sent a great summary of the visit with lots of pictures! Will definitely have her checking in on our kitties again next time we’re away!”

“I am so thankful for Nicole! She helped my husband and I when we needed someone to let our new puppy out last minute. She was responsive and on time. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“All I can say is that Heather did an amazing job taking care of my moody but sweet Cali the Calico. She understood her attitude and gave her the space that she wanted. Heather is very sweet and trustworthy and I felt very comfortable with her in my home and with Cali. I would recommend her to anyone! Thank you so much Heather.”

“Cats, house and yard were in good shape when we came home despite brutal heat. Clara was good about contact and photos of the one cat who decided to be social. She is easy to talk to and responds well to requests. I will happily request her help in the future.”

About: I grew up in a dog family, taking care of everything from old dogs to puppies. I have a fondness to learn about new animals and pets which require more attention. I want to learn more about pets other than dogs, but dogs are my expertise. I am a college student in my final year of studies. I have classes in random, strange times - but can work around them however anyone may need. I love dogs, and I will feed them, give them company, play with them, and make sure everything per instructions is done. If your dog requires more attention or has separation anxiety, I approach them with care and caution, to make sure they feel safe and comfortable.
About: Hey there! My name is Shae and I think I'd be a great option for you to consider as a dog friend. The past six or so years I've worked, managed, and assisted multiple different rescue organizations and have learned so much about the dogs in my care that it truly has become a profession. Before that I was a regular dog boarder/walker in Washington state on Rover & Wag which is where my reviews start from. Parents used to participate in world shows with our GSD growing up so I had young and immediate exposure to working lines and I've also had a stint working with wildlife between gigs/states. Ive worked in a spay/neuter clinic as a tech, completed animals CPR, and Ive managed animal transports which basically means I drove dogs who are out of time here in the south into the north for a better chance at life. While on transport with me, it is my job to walk them, care for them, and soothe them on the long, stressful** journey. Now Im taking care of my grandpa so I am always home. *Able to administer oral medication, and injections *Comfortable with most special cases (behaviourally or medically) *Able to care for seniors, or sense-impaired *Typically will gage health, comfort, & energy level and do playgroups; large w large and small w small dogs only. If you do not want you're pup interacting w others, please specify as I am able to keep everyone separated via sections of the home and yard rotations. Though typically when grouped, they have in-out access for 85% of the day but are supervised 100% of that time as my working space is indoor/outdoor. If multi-boarding (usually just around holidays), I do crate overnight (indoors) roughly 10pm to 7am. Multiple dogs from same home, or pups that find crates stressful, that are not destructive when alone can sleep in the guest bedroom. . Overall I'm pretty flexible and do this for the love of dogs, so if you have concerns, questions, or preferences, please feel free to shoot me a message! My pups are my world and I understand how stressful leaving them can be so I send lots of pictures and do my best to show them theyre loved while puppy-parents are away. Home full time caring for my grandfather, so dogs are roaming and playing most of the day. Longest theyll spend without outside time is overnight, otherwise its usually no more than 2hrs. Without being too curt, I ensure the dog is comfortable, safe, fed, and loved. I think this is too complicated of a question to answer in a brief box as all dogs vary and require different amounts of affection, interaction outside, medicine, et cetera et cetera.. But I am one of those people who calls my dogs my kids and I do believe they as a species deserve so much more.

About: I currently care for two rescue cats, and one of them requires daily medication, so I’m comfortable following medication routines. I understand how important consistency and patience are when caring for cats. I’m happy to provide feeding, litter care, playtime, and calm companionship while keeping your cat’s routine as normal as possible.

“Shannon is wonderful! She sent me pictures and updates on how Mav was doing throughout the day. Maverick had so much fun and was exhausted afterwards. It was only his first time, but I know he can’t wait to go back!”

“Sebastian and his family were so very kind—and my Jet had a great time with them!! We will definitely call on them for our Rover needs anytime we are visiting Columbia! Thanks for an awesome experience! ❤️”

“Jud and Nicole are great! Dexter stayed with them for a day and with the very first picture they sent us just a few minutes after we dropped him off, I could see how happy and comfortable he was with them. He also had lots of fun with his new friend Baxter. Now we can rest assured that our baby is in great hands when we go on a trip in a few weeks.”

“Totally amazing! My dog can be slow to warm up to new people but she was able to make him feel comfortable and safe from the first day. I really appreciated the updates as well, would rebook any time I need a sitter.”

“I am very impressed with Daniel! He and Bentley got along beautifully and Max proved to be a good doggie friend. Daniel has a very calm demeanor and sweet disposition- Bentley became attached immediately since he is rather calm. Daniel took exceptional care and responded quickly to my silly check-ins during the day. I highly recommend Daniel!”

“Gina was great with our senior dog while we attended a basketball game at USC. She was very responsive and even met us after the game so we could start our drive home sooner. She was responsive and took great care of our baby. Would definitely use again for dog sitting needs. Thanks Gina!”

“They are absolutely great! We are doing the day care, and the first night Comet (my super SUPER high energy dog) came home tired! He had all day to play and run around. They have a great space for the dogs. Highly recommend! They sent me updates and kept me informed as well.”

“Omgosh! Michelle was our hero the weekend of my nephews wedding! Newly relocated to the Charleston area, we knew no one to watch our pup while we went to Savannah for the wedding. We found Michelle in Savannah, and she was wonderful!! So sweet and loving to our 10year old poodle bichon, and he seemed to be comfortable with her and her place right away. If you're looking for the perfect dog sitter, look no further, Michelle is your gal.”

“Teia had a great time and came home ready for a nap. Lyndsay sent beautiful pictures which we will treasure. And really appreciate her flexibility and agreeing to our last minute request for daycare. See you soon!”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was little. I’ve taken care of, feed played with and walked family and friends dogs and always made sure they were safe I’m currently not working so I have time to play and walk with your pups. I am able to board any day of the week at anytime! I do not have a fenced in yard but can assure you that your pups will be safe at all times. I have an older dog (8 yrs) who is the absolute best with other puppies!
About: Hello y’all! I am very experienced in training dogs and caring for dogs, cats, and most other animals. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. My prior amazing pittie, Bo Peep, was deaf. Thus, I know ASL commands and signs from training her myself. So, I am able to work well with other deaf/hard-of-hearing animals. I’ve been lucky enough to have and/or care for all sorts of animals throughout my entire life, especially growing up as a feral child (haha) in Florida. I always tried to bring animals home (often to my mom’s dismay), and I’ve worked with various animals (e.g. birds of all sizes, reptiles, cats and dogs especially, horses, amphibians, fish, and some other farm animals). I have no problem giving medication or following any medical-related plans. I work with pets of all ages. I look forward to meeting y’all! I am currently a therapist that works remotely from home, so I am able to be with fur babies in-between clients throughout the day to meet their needs. I am very active, so plenty of walks for pups! With dogs and cats, I try to provide them with as much mental stimulation that I can (and maybe a few treats).
“I feel so fortunate that found Katheryn to watch Blue while I work in Columbia, South Carolina. She's so sweet with Blue, flexible and reliable, I highly rerecommend her and will use her any time I'm working in the area.”

“Lexie was great with communication. Huck had a great day with the other dogs! I appreciated that she rinsed him off before I picked him up too. He had fun in the run and got a bit dirty. :). Loved the horses, goats and chickens. Will use again- only drawback is location isn’t very close to my home.”

About: I have had animals my whole life, never been able to live without at least 2. I love working with animals and their unique personalities. Every animal has their own quirks, and I would love to help care for your fur baby! I am available any days for boarding. Ruth and I go for a walk in the morning, in the evening, as well as playing out in the yard in between. We spend most of the night playing or lounging around the house. Ruth is typically crated at home, and I would prefer for your dog to have a crate as well so they have a space all to their own while staying with us. I have a large yard and a fence, and always monitor the dogs when outside. When interacting with any animal, I always make sure to be calm and gentle. I do my best to read animal body language and predict and prevent situations before they happen.

Provide consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and mental stimulation through play and training. Monitor their health and behavior, and keep their living area safe and clean. Cats: Maintain a clean litter box, fresh water, and appropriate food tailored to their dietary needs. Offer enrichment with toys, scratching posts, and quiet spaces for rest. I love that she uses the rover card so i can get notifications in real time when becket has been picked up and where he went on his walk so i do not have to worry if i haven't heard anything. She is very responsive and listened well to the routine i explained for Beckett.”

“Kelly was amazing taking care of Stella for the past 9 days! She sent me updates and several pictures and videos of Stella and her dog playing. It's such a relief knowing your pet is in such good hands with Kelly. Highly recommend!”

“Tony has watched my dog, Saint, twice now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he’s provided. I’m new to using Rover and I’m extremely thankful that I found Tony. So much so that I refuse to look for any other sitter. He’s been pleasant to work with, trustworthy, and always makes me feel confident that Saint is in great hands. One thing I really appreciate is the updates. Every picture Tony sends, Saint looks genuinely happy, relaxed, and comfortable, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. It’s obvious that Saint enjoys spending time with him. I truly appreciate Tony’s flexibility as I venture out of town pretty often. Whether Saint is there with others or just as the only guest, he’s always well cared for and comes home happy. I highly recommend Tony to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Katelyn and her daughter were wonderful! We loved getting picture updates of our pup and communications have consistently been clear and easy. Will definitely book with her again.”
