About: Hey there! My name is Shae and I think I'd be a great option for you to consider as a dog friend. The past six or so years I've worked, managed, and assisted multiple different rescue organizations and have learned so much about the dogs in my care that it truly has become a profession. Before that I was a regular dog boarder/walker in Washington state on Rover & Wag which is where my reviews start from. Parents used to participate in world shows with our GSD growing up so I had young and immediate exposure to working lines and I've also had a stint working with wildlife between gigs/states. Ive worked in a spay/neuter clinic as a tech, completed animals CPR, and Ive managed animal transports which basically means I drove dogs who are out of time here in the south into the north for a better chance at life. While on transport with me, it is my job to walk them, care for them, and soothe them on the long, stressful** journey. Now Im taking care of my grandpa so I am always home. *Able to administer oral medication, and injections *Comfortable with most special cases (behaviourally or medically) *Able to care for seniors, or sense-impaired *Typically will gage health, comfort, & energy level and do playgroups; large w large and small w small dogs only. If you do not want you're pup interacting w others, please specify as I am able to keep everyone separated via sections of the home and yard rotations. Though typically when grouped, they have in-out access for 85% of the day but are supervised 100% of that time as my working space is indoor/outdoor. If multi-boarding (usually just around holidays), I do crate overnight (indoors) roughly 10pm to 7am. Multiple dogs from same home, or pups that find crates stressful, that are not destructive when alone can sleep in the guest bedroom. . Overall I'm pretty flexible and do this for the love of dogs, so if you have concerns, questions, or preferences, please feel free to shoot me a message! My pups are my world and I understand how stressful leaving them can be so I send lots of pictures and do my best to show them theyre loved while puppy-parents are away. Home full time caring for my grandfather, so dogs are roaming and playing most of the day. Longest theyll spend without outside time is overnight, otherwise its usually no more than 2hrs. Without being too curt, I ensure the dog is comfortable, safe, fed, and loved. I think this is too complicated of a question to answer in a brief box as all dogs vary and require different amounts of affection, interaction outside, medicine, et cetera et cetera.. But I am one of those people who calls my dogs my kids and I do believe they as a species deserve so much more.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong commitment to animals through caring for strays, fostering, and rescuing those in need. I have hands-on experience with pets of all kinds and treat each one with the same love and attention as my own. My passion for animals guides everything I do, creating a safe and caring environment they can feel comfortable in. Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily routine, starting with feeding and checking on local strays each morning and evening to ensure they’re safe and healthy. I make time every day to provide food, water, and any needed care, like basic grooming or medical attention. I also stay connected with my pets back home through regular check-ins with family and help coordinate their care, making sure they’re well-fed, loved, and looked after even when I’m away. Dogs: Ensure dogs have regular access to food, clean water, and daily exercise suited to their breed and energy level. Provide consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and mental stimulation through play and training. Monitor their health and behavior, and keep their living area safe and clean. Cats: Maintain a clean litter box, fresh water, and appropriate food tailored to their dietary needs. Offer enrichment with toys, scratching posts, and quiet spaces for rest. Pay attention to their behavior and grooming habits to detect any health concerns early.

I have a calm and patient personality that pets find easy to connect with, but I also make sure they follow your rules! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend soon! About: Every pet has a unique personality and routine. I take the time to learn what makes your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved so their time away from you feels as stress-free as possible. I am a remote freelancer who works my own schedule so I am completely flexible in my pet care schedule. Whether your fur-babies are independent kids who need only a daily walk, or they're needy lil' nellies who want to go potty umpteen times a day. I'm a reliable source for care. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I know that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their schedule, preferences, and personality to make their time away from you as stress-free as possible. As a pet owner myself, I understand that some pets can be anxious, reactive, or take a little longer to warm up to new people. I'm patient, attentive, and respectful of each pet's individual needs, whether that means energetic playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking closely to their routine. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind through regular updates and photos.

About: I grew up in a dog family, taking care of everything from old dogs to puppies. I have a fondness to learn about new animals and pets which require more attention. I want to learn more about pets other than dogs, but dogs are my expertise. I am a college student in my final year of studies. I have classes in random, strange times - but can work around them however anyone may need. I love dogs, and I will feed them, give them company, play with them, and make sure everything per instructions is done. If your dog requires more attention or has separation anxiety, I approach them with care and caution, to make sure they feel safe and comfortable.

About: I have taken care of pets for 15 years. I am always that one friend or family member that will always come take care of the pets while they go vacation. I am experienced professional dog trainer so I am comfortable with most breeds and have great leash handling skills. I am currently working part-time from home and have a very flexible schedule. I can be home 90% of my day. Lots of walks for my pups. I usually go to the gym for morning workout after early morning walks with my pups. I have a yard but it is not fenced. My dogs get multiple walks a day and they love to lay out on the fenced in deck. I normally crate my dogs when I leave the house. Depending on what your pet is used to just let me know. My Pets and I have been so lucky to have met Valarie. Valarie is the epitome of professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and responsible. My pets are my babies, and it’s hard to leave them with anyone, but when I leave them with Valarie, I feel very secure that they will be well taken care of and enjoy every minute of their time with her. I can’t speak highly enough about Valarie and the way she treats my animals so well and how much they love the time that they get with her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
